Great entry price and easy to spend hours in there enjoying the amazing art work

A must see in Ottawa if you are an art fan. Loved the contemporary biennial exhibit.

Great place for children and adults. Our kids love the Artissimo club that runs on weekends and holiday Mondays. It's so much fun for them to create something or do hands on activities and later go into the gallery and be part of the art world. Staff is always polite and professional.

Very big gallery with a lot of space. I like the mix of contemporary Art and classical art

Unmissable museum in the heart of Ottawa, with a very beautiful collection of Canadian artists, French painters.

some nice collections, but would like to see more visitor friendly signs on art education and stronger presentation for local arts.

A beautiful gallery and much improved over the years. Love that you are now allowed to take photos inside! The special exhibits are always great fun. I wish they were open for longer and later hours, but the free admission on Thursdays from 5-8pm makes up for this. This is always an awesome time to check out the special exhibits for free!

I like this place. A dream place for me. I can't say how much I love art. & this gallery provide the best. Always exhibitions going on. I go there for a peace of mind.

A must see if you are in Ottawa. Reserve at least 3 hours to see the whole place. You have to check in your bag.

Beautiful views, interesting building, best gift shop in town... and of course there's the art! Easy to keep 7ft apart.

The building is modern; it feels like empty. Didn't like most of the modern art pieces. Friendly staff.

This place was great really nice collection of works, beautifully displayed. Lots of parking onsite- $2.75 per 30 min. Lots of walking but that's to be expected because this place is HUGE!!

This is a great museum. If you have a young family there are lots of great kid crafts and activities. Otherwise, it is a beautiful place to slowly walk through and take the art in.

Gorgeous pieces with a peaceful atmosphere. Not to mention some fantastic views of parliament. A major reason to visit Ottawa

This is a great place to spend an afternoon! It's only $7 if you're a student, and the collection of works by the group of 7 is extensive and so beautiful

The style is unique and the artistic atmosphere is strong, it is worth visiting.

Impressionist Treasure : The Ordrupgaard Collection. What can I say.... They are all masterpeaces. Also quiet enjoyed with permanent collections as well.

A good place to spend a few hours. Not fun with kids at all though. They get easily bored.

Really fun and interesting collection of art. Loved the Indigenous Art section and the photography collection. Was very relaxing to walk around and had a great time!

You can easily spend the entire day here. Special exhibits are always brilliant.

One of the biggest gallery I have ever visited in Ontario. Takes about 3 hours to cover the whole place. The courtyard inside the gallery is very tranquil. It's an amazing place to kill time if you are in Ottawa just for a day. This gallery has a modest collection of art pieces that are from private collectors. There is a small library inside the gallery that is open at select times. You can get a really nice view of the parliament hill from the library.

I can really appreciate the time and effort that goes into making art like this. The building is clean and it isn't overly expensive. I have come here a few times and love it.

The Impressions exhibit is very, very good. Worth the investment of your time.

Always nice to visit Canada's National gallery. Good shows and the display spaces.

The Gallery is in the center of the city and you have many placed of interest nearby.

The availability of parking under the gallery is a bonus for those who drive there.

Give yourself a good few hours if you like history and art! There is a lot to see! Benches are placed throughout and all of the descriptions are in English and French.

The experience starts when you're walking into the building. The architecture is breathtaking. From there no matter what you choose to see you won't be disappointed. The exhibits all hold something to capture the imagination. The variety of Art makes recurring visits an endless possibility. The National Gallery of Canada is definitely worth exploring.

Really great distancing protocols and its free to enter during Covid! Its a really great way to spend a couple hours. Very peaceful.

Great Klee show. Anthropocene was also impressive. Saw it twice. And the movie.

It is very large, very clean, and social distancing is well done. You must wear a mask to enter, and the management is good. Entry is free from 5 to 8 pm every Thursday in summer.

You need a whole day to enjoy all the rooms! And do not go without buying a souvenir, you will not find them anywhere else

I spent 3 hours here and barely scratched the surface. I saw everything I wanted to see in the Canadian and Indigenous section.

I wish they had more information on how they sourced their ancient indigenous pieces. I'm concerned that the 1700 wampum belt may have been stolen but I forgot to ask.

Well curated and lots of indigenous representation, and IMHO respectfully curated and described. That being said I wish they had had more audio descriptions of the indigenous art.

Spent like 3 hours in her and only brushed past most of the art. Really enjoyed experience.

Very pleasant way to spend an afternoon. My only observation is that there is no logical way the walk through to see everything. I often had to walk past something I had already seen to get to another section. But I now see that is a petty pee e so disregard it. I've added another star

For those with an interesr in art exhibits, this an excellent way to spend a rainy day (or not).

Good to spend some time in quiet area. Art collection is good. Some of art are not up to standard expected in National gallery.

Great membership prices and extensive collection. Lovely for a family, couple or on your own.

Such a stunning art gallery! Houses a lot of very impressive and amazing works! Definitely would recommend this place for any art freak like myself out there!

Rich and varied collection of beautiful masterworks within a stunning setting.

The place is superb and the museum is very interesting. However, it lacks interactivity for children. The price of entry is much too high.

Beautiful place to understand art around the world and its infuence and evolution in Canada. A big collection arts and paintings. Come with full energy because you need to be fresh to enjoy and understand history of arts in Canada.
