A great selection of Paintings and selected artworks from all over the world. I really enjoyed the Inuit & Renaissance sections.
The museum also has a cafe if you care to dine or grab a drink.

Huge art Gallary filled with lots of different art work from Canada. The entrance is currently under construction, however the inside is not affected at all. The gift shop has lots of different art replica you can but and bring home.

A must go to when you are visiting Ottawa. Lots of amazing art of all different shapes and sizes and you get to interact with the art and take a ton of unique pictures. Would go back again next time when I am in Ottawa!

Beautiful museum to visit with family, great galleries and exceptional works of art very well presented and explained. Temporary exhibitions very well mounted.
Covered parking is popular, especially in winter and at an affordable price.

On Canada's 150th year it is an embarrassment that the Canadian artists Exhibit's would be closed. this is not putting our best foot forward as a home school family traveling across Canada coast to coast to coast this is just another disappointment of our nations capital

Visit of the museum for the first time. My cousin took us there. We walked around all the places. Some works we liked more than others, among others the whales made with patio chairs made by artist Brian Jungen from Fort St-Jonh, British Columbia.

Amazing gallery! Free after 5 on thursdays. Always a good time and nice to see. On this particular visit I met a really friendly security guard and he had some really great advice on what to check out. Wish I got his name! Shout out to that guy!

Put on your comfy shoes, check your coat and get ready to spend many hours wandering the gallery! Permanent collection includes the Group of Seven, Contemporary Art, Modern Art, Inuit and North West Coast. There is something for every area of interest. The gift shop also has a great selection of books, art supplies, stationary and posters depicting the artwork from the artists seen in the gallery and jewellery. We spent almost 4 hours and saw just about everything so hopefully that gives you an idea of the time needed.

Wonderful place to spend an afternoon and lose yourself in the wide ranging exhibits. Physical distancing easily maintained. Thursdays are free. Make the most of what Ottawa/Gatineau offers.

It is a very nice and VERY BIG place, so if you plan to travel it completely, go ahead with time. Even so, the museum can be visited free of charge on Thursdays after 5 p.m., and from there at the close there is enough time to go through it completely calmly, in addition you cannot miss the opportunity to take a photo with the giant spider.

Great exhibition of Canadian and Canadian aboriginal art and historical things. Sometimes their exhibitions are amazing and fun, other times their okay, but that would stand for subjective taste.

Wow the indigenous exhibition, the whole Gallery is enjoyable I found but the indigenous peoples art is so engaging in so many facets. A single day is not enough get a membership and and enjoy it at a leisurely pace.

If you have kids, don't even think of going here. The staff was very rude and they kept on reminding us that we need to keep the kids away from the art work. The kids were in the strawler and sleeping. Two security guys seemed to be following us the whole time.
Thanks to their attitude, we were not able to enjoy the art.
