Great Zoo! came here for boo at the zoo with the little kid i babysit and they Loved it! can't wait for the bear exhibit to open!
It's an awesome place to take family and spend the day with..... The staff are awesome if you have any questions they will answer them to the best of their knowledge
This place is the best!! When you go you need to make sure to tour the old home place, it is worth the time and money just by itself!! Really!!
Not my most favorite zoo. The one thing I do love about this zoo is that every time I have gone, it has almost ALWAYS been completely dead. I am sure part of that is because the zoo is not that great. It is very very small, and not a lot of animals. Besides that, the animals seem sad and sparse.
They have 3 rides for kids, a merry go round, a zipline and a train (which I have yet to see, but I have been told it is one of those mall trains).
Here is what I DO like about the zoo: It's always sparking clean. Very well maintained. Also, their childrens play ground area is OFF the chain. Legitimately awesome. It's like a huge tree house and there's also a jumping area for the littles. Plenty of swings.
There is a petting zoo. Also an indoor aquarium.
Love how shaded it is lots of bamboo along the path. Park is laod out nively couldvuse another food place/option though
It was great! Loved interacting with the goats and kangaroos!!! You can actually touch them!!!
Was there as a volunteer at the small farm they have on the grounds. They have a few new exhibits that were enjoyable.
A lot to see. It gets crowded, but still an enjoyable experience.
The entrance people charge my extra 8 dollars for parking when i told them i came by bus .... They said will return my money back, then no return .
Fantastic. Very well designed. Good, new exhibits. Exotic selection of creatures! All the animals look healthy and happy. You can see them very close too. Some, you are even allowed to touch, like the kangaroos! Habitats are clean, as are the pathways and cafeteria. Lots of shade, which makes it comfortable even in the middle of summer. Great for adults and children.
Went with our 2 yr old granddaughter. She had a blast
Beautiful grounds. Animals had large areas to roam (bigger than I've seen at other zoos).
The Zoo is wonderful. I just went to the Chinese Lantern exhibit and it was great!
Despite having 6-7 exhibits closed due to expansion (not most exhibits like some have said), we had a great time as usual, great flamingos, kangaroos, aquarium, petting zoo, jungle gym and more.
Absolutely loved how large the enclosures are for each animal and how open most of the exhibits are compared to full enclosures. The Red Pandas are by far my favorite. Will definitely go again.
We've only lived here a year and we've gone twice now, both at different times of the year in hopes that there would be more animals to see. Well, that was wrong. It seems like everything is under construction and there isn't really much to see.
Good family atmosphere with a great selection of activities make this a fantastic family outing. Don't miss the bird feeding.
We had an amazing time going through looking at the animals. It wasn't crowded or too hot that day so it was perfect. Can't wait to go again.
My kids absolutely love the Zoo and the new tiger exhibit is awesome. And we got to see some meerkats
Came right at opening (9 am). By the time it was hot and crowded, we were done! Lots of active animals to see. Held the attention of our 18-month old grandson.
This is a awesome place to go to spend quality time with the family and the one's u love and see such amazing animal's and get a little bit of nature while enjoying your awesome day with the family i will be going back and spending time with my baby's
Best place to Take Your kids To an Educational Attraction
I went to the zoo today and some crazy mom must have told security some weird story. Security asked if I was taking pictures of their kids...I m like WHAT! No! What the heck! I cant take a picture of a tiger? Literally what is wrong with people....I felt completely violated being in that zoo after that. I should ve gotten my money back. I had to show security my pictures of a tiger and leopards to prove it was of the animal!! I m just a young girl myself....it was completely insulting.
The zoo just keeps getting better and better! Love this place
The grounds and exhibits are beautiful! I have been to zoos in San Diego and Memphis and this one is in their league. Once there you gotta do the zip line as well!
So enchanting! Wish there was a Large POSTED MAP at the ENTERANCE so the event can be determined better? Possibly with Terrain references for. Wheelchairs, and baby stroller patrons?
My family had a good time. It's always clean. The staff has been really friendly and helpful every time.
10 Stars! Absolutely LOVED our day at the Nashville Zoo! From the carousel ride, to petting a kangaroo, to eating cotton candy, dip-n-dots and yummy food! Was a great experience for the whole family. So much fun, that my lil girl is already planning our next trip back.
Great place dedicated to conservation with great enclosure's and always adding on which is a bonus
The Nashville Zoo is 1 of our favorite places to go... we became memnerd ee love it do much...it's very clean and a lot of it is shaded so if it's a really warm day your not put in the direct sun all day...there are lots of interesting things like the Grasmere home and the grounds around it...they are working on upgrading more exhibits on a daily basis... I would definitely recommend this Zoo...
Parts of the kids playground were broken and it was still open. The train ride was down and while hearing other people talk about it, it has been down for a couple of months. Two different exhibits had either the wrong sign or wrong animal in them. Three exhibits were under construction, I am sure glad someone posted these issues on their website. $70.00 and 53 miles Waste of time and money. This was planned for a 7 year olds birthday present. She was disappointed as well as us. No gorillas, chimps, ect.... Go elsewhere, unless you have money to waste.
A well laid out a presented zoo! An experience for both young and old with something to offer everyone. The ambiance and aesthetic of the entire park is well thought out and consistently engaging. The exhibits are numerous and can it take an entire day, if not more, to check out everything.
It's a bit small for a zoo the size of N ashville. Loved the new Andean bear exhibit.
We took our family to the Zoo and we loved it. It was very clean and well kept. We definitely will be going back!
Love this zoo!! Everyone should visit!! You can pet the Kangaroos!!
Lovely lights cool nights, kids were entertained and we had no fights!
The animals are not the ones that should be caged the people are rude obnoxious and entitled. It's very overcrowded could not even move without someone bumping you or vice versa. It was the worst experience I've ever had there. I will not be back It's to many people to be remotely enjoyable. Considering they are selling time slots I just don't understand how that many people could be in such a small area. The staff and animals where the only friendly ones there yall do a good job considering what you have to work with.
Great zoo! Love the habitats with plenty of room to roam.
It is a very nice zoo. The lay out and the grounds are very nice. Every where places to eat drink and sit. Just not a lot of animals
What a terrific zoo I will be back next year clean staff was awesome a lot to do
Great fun with the kids Easter egg hunt. Very cold this year. But still fun.
The theme and landscaping maintain a feel throughout. We found a walking path that allowed us to see every exhibit with minimal retracing of our steps and kept our visit to within a couple of hours. There were many opportunities that allowed us to directly interact with the animals (without having to pay for anything special). Touring the original mansion house that the original animal sanctuary was founded on was truly unique.
Awesome zoo, just wish they had the elephants back, maybe some lions too. Other than that, awesome!
Timed tickets available with a limited selection of exhibits open but it was still great!
The zoo is laid out well and flows nicely. My family goes a couple of times a year and we have annual passes. It s nice for a casual morning or afternoon. Never too crowded. You will spend a couple hours here and be happy.
I will never attend this event again. It said there would be limited tickets sold.... We were shoulder to shoulder, with no space to breathe or sit! Not nearly enough park employees.. to police all of the overly self entitled mom's, who were sticking their kids over fences and inside the exhibits! Pushy, raced through at a rushed pace! This was a huge disappoint for what you pay, and how it's presented. I'm not sure I'll be going to any future event at the zoo. I will also be telling everyone I told that we were going...NOT TO GO.
It is a very nice place to compare with the family.
This is a beautiful zoo. I enjoy the landscaping and scenery as much as the animals.
Great facilities. Great place to take kids for the afternoon. The staff is great. Tons of interactive exhibits. They have a large playground area that will occupy your children for several hours. Definately worth the price if admission.
Fun times for the kids, and wonderful design layout.
My kids so disappointed..because no elephants, Lions, and Gorilla. Other wise, it ok zoo
Very clean zoo. But not worth the money. There are not many animals. And I do understand that they are self owned and all the money goes to the park. But paying $17 a person plus $10 for parking to not have any lions tigers pandas gorillas I mean they dont have any of the animals you really go to see.
Loved the animals and love the measures they gave taken to keep people distanced. I took the longest version of the one way path and it took me 3.5 hrs including stopping for lunch which was great!
We take our grandchildren there and they really enjoy it. They love the monkeys and my personal favorite are the pink flamingos! I wish they would eventually get more larger animals. The facilities are clean and the staff are friendly. The carousel and zip lining is so much fun for the children while we rest!
Zoolumination was spectacular. A definite must see.
Kids had a blast. Fairly easy to walk, a couple small hills.
We love the zoo! They have a lot of new attractions this year, with more comimg.
Great temperature. Not overly crowded. Boys had a great time!!!
We had a great time at the zoo. We went to see Frances the tiger in her new exhibit. She was looking regal in her home. So beautiful. I was so excited talking with the zookeeper that I forgot to snap a picture. No worries. We ended up grabbing season passes. I enjoy spending quality time with my family. We made good memories on this trip.
Amazing Zoo tucked into the most beautiful setting! Love all of it!
If you are coming from more than an hour or so south---go to the Birmingham, AL zoo instead.. The good--huge playground area (the jungle gym) for the kids. The facility is kept up well, modern, and clean. The interactive/touch exhibits were great, allowing actual contact and interaction with various animals.
But.. speaking of animals, it just didn't feel like the quantity of animals was up to the expectation and size of the complex. I left feeling like I had been all over a campus of neat attractions and had actually only observed a few animals. All three of my kids (five years and below) agreed the best part of the day was the playground/jungle gym.
Food/drink prices were quite high as expected, and they seemed a little high even for this type venue. I was a little confused at the extra parking fee when the parking lots are only for the zoo, which is well off the roadway and not exactly a downtown parking deck with lots of folks parking and walking somewhere else. In fact the method of doing the parking fee kind of felt like just an extra admission tax or something, a way to raise rates without really increasing the ticket price.
Maybe we were just spoiled having been to other zoos in recent years, but I just didn't feel the Nashville Zoo met our family's expectations.
Always a great time... is love it. Lots to see and do... rides, animals, special events... Pack a lunch and bring water.
During these uncertain times I felt very safe. Directional footpaths led us through the Zoo and helped keep the experience on track. Saw it all and had a GREAT TIME. Good job Team Nashville Zoo! Can't wait to return.
My husband and I had a great time! We visited in the middle of January and we really enjoyed it, I can only imagine what it is like in the warmer months. The restrooms were clean and kept up! And to a pregnant woman restrooms are very important so I appreciated the cleanliness! The animals are very well taken care of and the staff is so friendly. We will be back the next time we are in Nashville.
Evey time we brought our kids, they are very excited. My 7 yr old asked me when we come back again. The kiddos love this zoo and so do we.
Because it's a zoo, and I love zoos. This is why I love the zoo. Thank you.
Such a beautiful place. They always have things going on. Kids love to visit.
