I visited there briefly with a friend who did volunteer work as a museum guide, and I must say that the museum itself was really nice! I don't have much experience with other museums, but it was a lot of interresting artifacts and items on display, as well as everything that is written being both in Norwegian and English for those who are not native to Norway! While the main focus of the museum was Norway in World War 2, it is also got some other points of interests that is about war itself!
If you're in Narvik, or just loitering around not having anything to do, I would reccomend checking the museum out!

A smaller museum jam packed with actual memorabilia from a personal collection. Some interesting items like Nazi christmas ornaments and personal clothing. Staff is on hand for questions

An incredible experience. It is a small museum but full of information about WWII. It is very interesting to know how Narvik played such an important role in the conflict.

Highly recommended

At first, a big disappointment ... the museum is located in the building of the City Library. We get the impression that we are about to see a small exhibition concentrated in one room. Narvik is an important city for us Poles in Norway, referring to the heroic struggle of Polish soldiers in its defense.
After entering, however, we are pleasantly surprised ... a modern segment was added to the library building, constituting an extension of the museum. The museum exhibition is interesting, combined with interactive elements. We will also find some Polish elements: the uniform of the Podhale Riflemen, plaques with decorations (so far the plaque is under construction and there are no Polish decorations) and a bell which is a gift from ORP Grom. A museum worth recommending. Visiting about 2 hours, unless someone is particularly interested in the subject of war, they will probably spend more time there.

Parking: Underground parking next to the museum. And 5 minutes from the museum on foot, on Verkstedbakken street, two paid parking lots: one for campers and the other for cars in front of it.

In Narvik and its vicinity we can find 4 other places dedicated to the memory of fallen Polish officers and soldiers:

The first grave of Poles who died in the fight for Narvik (first alley on the right, entering through the German cemetery through the side entrance from the parking lot). Address: Rombaksveien 44, 8517 Narvik. There is a small free car park in front of the cemetery.

Groms plass in Narvik (Monument to the sailors of the Volunteer Fire Department GROM). Address: Ibsensvei 16, 8517 Narvik

Krigsmonument, Narvik 1940 (on the E6 road, 16 km south of Narvik). Address: Grindjord 36, 8520 Ankenesstrand. There is a large free car park in front of the monument.

I don't know about nice, but illuminating the reality of the war and the mix of Narvik was important.
Reasonably visible. 8v jaxoi bikes for over an hour.
For adults, local knowledge and perspectives

More of an art exhibition than a museum, nothing new / miraculous for myself in military history but still worth going, especially the downstairs school desk in front of the month made me think about the nonsense of war

Very dissapointed.

Very dissapointed.
It was supposed to be a War Museum ... No hippie peace center ...
Hotchkiss's tank has been raped and transformed into nothing incomprehensible.
Bombs have become gulls ..
Where has it become of the great collection from the 'old museum'?
No, disappointing.

Not a huge meseum but one with a high information density and sustained interest.

I enjoyed multi-media war map with visuals and narration to explain in great detail the twists and turns of the battle of Narvik.

I also thought the exhibits were thought-provoking. I gained a much better understanding of Norway's neutrality policy by the end of the exhibition.

Has a nice care and underground parking (entrance not on main road).

Excellent displays and a very helpful film detailing the WW2 battles. A member of staff kindly put the film on especially for the two of us between the normal scheduling and this was much appreciated in the limited time we had available. Very nice cafe as well.

A great museum of war in Narvik. Many Polish accents. Regarding the participation of our soldiers in defending Norway against German aggression in 1940 in April. It is really worth visiting this place.

Excitingly designed exhibition with many exhibits. Fortunately multilingual! Interactive exhibits are also available, which shows the events well. Only the last part of the exhibition is weird - I didn't quite understand it.

A little content. Had it not been for the cozy female guide, it would have been raped. Everything is significantly worse than the old museum, where there was both atmosphere and a lot to see. A star for the wizard. Save your money, buy ice cream and coffee and watch the city

Yes, I think the old museum, despite being a bit old run down, was better. There were more items on display and the captions were better. The new museum is too dark. The big dis[play of the naval battle with the moving lights is not very clear or understandable. The section in the basement on war in the future is a bit preachy at times though it does have a powerful message. The actual building is quite interesting architecturally. Worth a visit whatever.

A small museum in the library. But gives a good picture of the battle of Narvik. That is a special story that I did not know in any case. But if you drive around in the area you will encounter many memories of that battle.

Well done museum, which deals primarily with the battle of Narvik, but also covers a few general WW2 topics in Norway. It is written out in Norwegian and English. It is possible to have the texts output in German via an app, which I did not try. The lower part of the museum deals more with contemporary issues surrounding war and today's conflicts. It's "modern" style. Certainly not for everyone, but I found it interesting.

The top floor has interesting information and displays about Narviks role in the war. As you head down, the focus changes and the focus moves to the cause and effects of conflict. I found it very thought provoking and something I had not come across before. It offers no answers, but demands that we ask more questions before committing to acts of war. Well worth visiting.

Unfortunately I have lost a lot since they rebuilt the museum have been here twice before and liked it better those times because there were more things to see and it felt more like a museum room to feel.

Visited when busy so didn't get to read all the history. But managed to get enough info to understand the WW2 Narvik story. Large exhibition space downstairs shows interesting installation

Very nice museum.

Very nice museum.
The descriptions of the objects are in Norwegian and English but it is possible to download a mobile application to have them in other languages.
The last part of the museum is original but is equally interesting and requires some reflection.

1.5 hours is enough to visit all the exhibitions. Interesting and modern museum with a message. Descriptions and guides of the museum are in many languages (including Polish). The museum also honored Poles fighting for Narvik with a separate exhibition dedicated to ORP Grom.

Great
