Visited Massachusetts for the FIFA WorldCup USA94 match, Spain -v- Italy held at Foxborough Stadium, Boston and in between time we did a detour to meet-up with some friends that lived in Northampton, Ma. We were aware that the Basketball Hall of Fame was not too far away from Northampton and, as one of our number was a big David Robinson fan, we opted to trip over there too. We had a great day and enjoyed the experience enormously with lots to do and see.

Hadn't appreciated that in the meanwhile the Basketball Hall of Fame had upped-sticks in 2002 and moved itself 100 yards south into a $47 million facility and it looks even more splendid now.

The cost of entry was reasonable as well as military discounts are available. This brought back many childhood memories. I learned a lot about the athletes, past and present day. There is alot of history for any basketball lover!

It s pretty crazy to think the basketball hall of fame is in Springfield. That being said, the exhibits are pretty terrible outside of the main ring that houses all the inductees and their stories. Definitely learned a lot about the origins of the game too.

Aside from that there are way too many broken displays.

Hopefully I ll update this soon with better results as they re making some changes currently!

I visited this place in August of'18: This landmark has very informative details ranging from the players, through the coaches and of the game itself. The displays inside the museum portion of it are worth the observation; the gift shop and some eateries within the site are also convenient. This place, as all other notable landmarks, has the amenities suitable for all ages.

P.S. My apologies for double photo posting; that function from my device had issues.

Fantastic place to visit. A short and sweet video greats you, then you can explore the hall. They have so much information and memorabilia. There's interactive exhibits on the second floor to keep kids interested and engaged. On the ground floor..... play basketball!!!

You can also visit the gift shop and choose a place to eat right inside.

We had a great time here!

I was a bit disappointed. I thought there would be more memorabilia, more history, more interactive exhibits. Underwhelming. The best part of the hall is that there's a basketball court in the middle where you can shoot hoops.

I ll start off by saying I m comparing this hall of fame to national baseball hall of fame because I went to the baseball hall of fame the day before I came here.

We came on a good day because there was a former NBA player there signing autographs on the court which was a nice thing that they had.

There s only two floors of basketball memorabilia. For the price of $24/ticket I didn t feel as if I got my moneies worth. If the ticket price was $12-$14, I would give this place a better review especially because the hall of fame costs $23 and is a much larger facility.

Overall it s a good day trip with the kids just hoped they had more to offer! You can see everything in the museum in about an hour and a half and then shoot around on the courts afterwards.
