Very interesting to see the history of the golden age of Nagasaki.
Very interesting to see the history of the golden age of Nagasaki.
A very fine historical museum. Not only Dejima but also the history until the modern era of Nagasaki are displayed in an easy-to-understand manner. The eastern side is a magistrate place, but it is better to enjoy this atmosphere. Parking fee is charged.
I think it's good to take a walk around Nagasaki after going here.
You can understand the history of Nagasaki, such as Christ and China.
It is located on the site of the Nagasaki magistrate's office in the Edo period, and is divided into the magistrate's office restoration corner and general exhibition rooms. The exhibition is easy to understand and you can enjoy and understand the history and culture of Nagasaki.
At the Magistrate's Office Restoration Corner, citizen volunteers will show the state of a trial in the Edo period in a skit on Saturdays and Sundays only. It's a must-see because it's quite interesting, because it's a real judgment in Hakushu.
Standing in this place where the Nagasaki magistrate was once in the Edo period, it stores a lot of valuable materials related to overseas exchange in Nagasaki. While the ceremonial office is partly restored on the premises, you can experience the history, while the genre of modern exhibitions is wide, and there are many unique exhibitions and events. Common name "Rekibun"
When I went to Nagasaki, I was visited here by my friend. A place to understand the history of Nagasaki. Even now the words of a friend who said that the former magistrate office was restored as it was in the drawing remain in the impression even after more than ten years have passed. Magome Nagasaki supervised Nagasaki who was a director and also made a trade with the Netherlands and Qing Dynasty. Although it is a boss, it seems that the title of magistrate was not so high to not emphasize barbarians (foreigners) too. On the other hand, the building of the former magistrate office is very splendid to give foreigners a feeling of intimidation, and there is a memory that was surprised by the enormity. In addition, the impression left in the exhibition contents is the introduction of the tomb of Gaysbertohenmy in Kakegawa, Shizuoka prefecture. In my opinion that the local thing came to such a distant place, its own dwarfing feeling is far from the feeling of the warrior of the warring States era waged throughout Japan, not to mention the European people of the great voyage . It is a feeling of common people. I also remember such a thing.
Maybe be good but as an English person there was little I understood
I went to see a sword saying that Nobunaga stroked at the time of burning down the mountain. I realized that Japanese swords are still wonderful. I think that you want the fee of the permanent exhibition to be a little cheaper.
I enjoyed my visit here very much. I learnt a lot about the history of Nagasaki and it's surrounding areas. It was also nice to get a chance to walk through a replica of an old replica of Samurai housing. There was a digital speaker guide provided so we could get details about the different exhibition pieces in English
Feeling that the staff members are smiling and smiling
Quite a large Nagasaki Museum, staff are friendly and have audio for Korean language support. It's not a perfect audio configuration, but it's nice to watch and seems to be playing Nagasaki's legal disputes at a special time.
It was built in the former magistrate's office, so the building looks like a magistrate's office. The history of Nagasaki is displayed in an easy-to-understand manner, so if you stop by before or after sightseeing, you will deepen your understanding.
It is unique that you can learn history in a play style by making the most of the magistrate's office building.
There are many museum shops and original goods, so it's a good souvenir.
This is a modern and very well laid out museum. I was expecting something much colder, and was very pleasantly surprised. As several people have said, there could be even more information given in English, however, I found that the audio set which comes with the admission price was in general very well done. There is a lot of information, about a lot of different aspects of the history of Nagasaki. The re-created rooms of the administrative officials are very well done and impressive. Well worthwhile.
This city museum is has very informative exhibits, for a relatively cheap entry fee.
If you really want to know about the history of Japan and the relationship between Spanish, Portuguese, Holland s , Chinese, Koreans, since 1564... please come and visit this place.
It is a relatively new museum in Nagasaki. I like to take time to watch such places more slowly.
Polite arrangement, easy-to-understand display. Barrier-free. There is no complaint.
From time to time, unexpected exhibitions are held. Worth going from Fukuoka!
A good museum that concentrates in local history. English exhibition text is limited. English audio guide is also available but is also limited in content.
The museum has some excellent displays with limited English language & audio support. Staff said that there was recent reorganizing that may have left the audio a bit out of sync. There were gaps in history in the displays and in the audio guide. For instance, Dejima Island just appeared as something mentioned rather than explained. The Meiji era was rather rushed. Of course, like all Japanese museums, the period of 1900 to 1945 is completely ignored. Overall, I really needed to know a little about Nagasaki history before going, and I could have skipped the museum and missed only a little.
Just looking at the building is worth it.
The inside was surprisingly clean and beautiful!
It was interesting to learn materials such as textbooks, mazusama and tableware.
I think that children can enjoy if they are in the upper grades of elementary school.
A play at a magistrate's office at a time? I also enjoyed doing things like
Nice historical Museum with free English audio guide. It was really interesting and informative!
Pretty and quite big museum. There is a traditional performance, running by local volunteers. It was quite funny and interesting. It was not crowded so quite pleasant to look around.
Visited during Ghibli exhibition.
. . . Museum-wide.
Ghibli's exhibition ... maybe a bit unsatisfactory. . .
Entrance fee 600 yen including English audio guide. Very modern and interesting museum about Nagasaki history.
Recommended place to come to Nagasaki. You can check out various materials on trade and diplomacy with the Netherlands, China, and Korea with a free Korean audio guide.
Small but interesting exhibits of the city such as trade and life in ancient times. Excellent gift store. One section on second floor has a historic recrestion (?) Of an old Japanese house.
A place to visit if you want to explore Nagasaki city. You can understand the history of Nagasaki's development centering around the Edo period, and the duties of Nagasaki's Nobuyuki who once ruled this area. It would have been nice to have a modern and contemporary exhibition.
Nagasaki is a very interesting place, so many historical moments and cultures. The Chinese was oppressed here, then the Christians and finally the japanese themselves by the bombing.
one of the great museum in Nagasaki, worth for visiting place.
You can quickly learn about the history of this place in Nagasaki, and you can borrow a voice translator for free. It is well worth visiting
There are plenty of pictures, there are plenty of tricks to enjoy Can study with children of elementary school senior high school students Staff was also kind.
You can also visit the pretty Nagoya Castle Ruins nearby, so it's a great course.
I was well aware of the trade between Nagasaki and overseas countries, and most of all, the Korean audio guide was well equipped. But why is there no LEGO exhibit? :(
Exhibit the history and culture of Nagasaki in detail. We are surprised to see the scenery of the reproductions of the magisterial office plentiful, and also the exhibition of pottery. It might take half a day to see it all over, and a stylish restaurant such as a fancy restaurant, luggage and so on. The event system is on the website.
You can learn about the history of Nagasaki. The uncle who explained freely was very detailed and very kind.
I went to see a special exhibition and it was very good.
Such an emotional journey for anyone that might be looking for a true answer of peace
On this day there was a Lego event on the third floor.
I think that adults can be enjoyed by being exhibited in Nagasaki's history etc. in the second time.
Just for people outside the prefecture, you do not understand the contents very well.
Various experiential exhibits are interesting. The restaurant's seafood lunch of 1500 yen doesn't break the lunch course from a small restaurant of 2 to 3000 yen.
The relationship between Nagasaki and the world is explained in order. In particular, I deepened my understanding of latent Christians.
If you stay in Nagasaki before coming here, you will receive a discount card at the hotel to give you a discount on major Nagasaki attractions. If you show it, you can enter for 300 yen for adults (as of February 19).
If you listen to the explanation while using the free audio, it is good to know the history of Nagasaki.
If you go here first, I think it's good to be Nagasaki.
It wasn't crowded, so you may enjoy the whole exhibition calmly.
Although it depends on the timing, there are few visitors so you can watch every corner slowly.
I think it is spectacular.
If you look closely, you may want to keep it for a few hours.
I also liked the contents in the shop.
Was doing an exhibition of team lab, children were quite liked. Parents also returned to kid, I was allowed to swim in the digital sea wrote the picture.
We truly enjoyed the complex which consisted of workshops, permeant exhibition area & temparory exhibition hall- we are lucky to catch the miniature life exhibition during our visit. Get the discount card from your hotel to get up to 50% off the entry fee of most tourist attractions in Nagasaki
No english description on the third floor, very few on second floor.
Not recommend for foreign
An extensive museum in a beautiful new building. The permanent exhibition was very informative with a lot of good pictures and artifacts. The audio guide was free too!
A new museum that did not come before. It is interesting to understand the history of Nagasaki well. Oji, who is a volunteer guide, gave me a thorough commentary. You should go if you have time. It is around 15 minutes on foot from Nagasaki Station.
If you go to Nagasaki, there are 3 places to visit. Nagasaki night view, Dejima and Nagasaki Museum. The content here is vast. There is a lot of content that you can enjoy and feel. This is a reason to visit here. You can visit the special exhibition hall on the 3rd floor, visit the museum on the 2nd floor, and visit the performance hall. If you go to Nagasaki, I recommend you to go there.
The building that I went for the first time and the parking lot are beautiful and the best anyway!
It was a GW and I had a great show event as well.
I am satisfied that I can know the history of Nagasaki in detail!
The kid was fascinated by the sketchy exhibition (LOL)
The display and device are easy to understand for children. Personally, the theme and classification were easy to understand. You can take photos with Ryoma Sakamoto
It is a devised museum. It was built to see the office building of the Edo era and a skit can be seen! A
Permanent exhibition is also wonderful. For Nagasaki sightseeing it is essential to visit.
Very beautiful and useful place, if you want to know what Nagasaki is, this is the right place
Quiet environment, rich collection, interesting line planning, good weather, good for taking pictures
The Longma coffee with attached restaurant is full of aroma
No, more atomic bombs please. Is devastating to see the pain inflicted in others.
A thorough history of Nagasaki's 300+ year history. Has a decent set of signs in English. Most of it is in Japanese. But enough in English to get the gist of the history. When we visited they had a live performance is music and a period drama.
I think it s a fine museum.
However, I feel that there is not one high-level exhibition because of the country town of Nagasaki.
I have a very good time.
I challenged the stained glass at the second visit. The price is also cheap and you can make soldering irons yourself and make it. A person who is interested in stained glass will be worth a challenge to try.
Even beginners can tell me how to make gently. Next time, if I have the opportunity I am thinking about challenging silverwork.
I enjoyed a lot of interesting exhibitions such as the spread of Nanban people who opened flowers from the opening port of Nagasaki, the history of Christianity, the history of Dejima, etc. The tableware corner was particularly beautiful.
Team Lab Nagasaki was good.
I will continue next time.
Lovely museum and the little show put on by the volunteers was great.
There are various events, and we stop by every time we travel.
Great museum with a English audio guide tour. It's a gorgeous collection well presented. Allow 3 hours to visit and make sure to see the reanactement scene with the magistrate and a Christian boy.
Finish your tour with a delicious meal at the restaurant.
It is a place where you can go to see the modern history of Japan through Nagasaki.
Permanent exhibition is good to know Nagasaki. The special exhibition is like that.
There are various events, parking lot is easy to use. As the parking lot is buried soon at the popular event, we recommend early action. Barrier-free is also substantial.
Absolutely awesome! Spent 3h. You could get away with less or do more. Superb collection. Well presented. Don't miss the very reasonable lunch at about 1000Y in their lovely lacquerware restaurant. A very Japanese perspective on the Age of Exploration (and I'm a history buff). So worthwhile
Beautiful brand new facility with many activities to do. We enjoyed the Lego exhibition going when we visited. Their shop had wide range of traditional goods and it was so much fun to look at. My child enjoyed stained glass workshop. The staff taught him very well and now he is treasuring his key chain.
Informative and well-designed museum on Japan's unique history of the international city of Nagasaki from the 16th to the 19th century. The staff is very friendly and the English audio guide works wonderfully.
