Lovely hotel, rooms aren't anything special but is in a perfect location to get around London. Staff are very attentive and friendly - requested an iron + board and it was in the room in a couple of minutes.

Reception and entrance looks lovely but room is very outdated and feels very budget. Tiny as well as in bad condition on many accounts. Wouldn't say it's good value for money but good location.

I went to the Spa at myhotel Bloomsbury for an hour long full body massage and it was such an amazing experience! Christina, the Spa manager, was so professional and great in what she was doing, she gave me some useful advice and really made my day:) I can definitely recommend that place to everyone!

Was pleasantly surprised. Cozy rooms with sufficient space, must have been renovated somewhat recently, really good service and perfect location. We had a room on the 4th floor facing the backyard which was perfectly quiet.

Cosy hotel. Small rooms but very clean and modern interior.
Breakfast in general tasty but the kitchen has some Organisator problems. Very slow - waitet 20 min for a breakfast. If you have to catch a flight this might be not very comfortable but the stuff is very considerate and try to satisfy their customers by all means.

Will stay here again for sure!

Worst hotel ever. more youth hostel than a hotel. First room had mold in the bathroom second room the heater was broken. For this price you get much better deals at hotels nearby. Photos on maps are not accurate. Plus a lot of comment refer to "The Bloomsbury" which is a completely different hotel...

Location yo. Modern narrow room. This is a bit tough for Japanese people. It would be nice not to have a bathtub, but the water pressure and drainage of the shower were bad. It is good if it is divisible only by going to bed.

Had a couple of problems with the shower blasting out water at 3am, and bin men banging about outside pre 6am. So, not much sleep was had. The bed was comfy, nice coffee and tea making facilities. Book with them direct for free mini bar credit and treats on arrival. I missed out on this.

Great hotel in decent location away from crowded tourist areas but near Googe/Tottenham stations on the Northline and walkable to sights like Trafalgar Square. (If you don't mind a bit of an amble.) Clean modern rooms are "cozy" but comfortable and staff friendly. Gail's restaurant on one side and Gail's bakery on the other make food & good coffee easy in the morning. (Gail's has some vegan options too!) Overall would stay here again!

Honestly it's not worth the price paid. 185 gbp per night for a tiny room, quite old in finishes, worn carpet, no wardrobe and no safe. Quite noisy and poorly soundproofed. Beautiful hall, different from the usual. Convenient location but nothing more.

So the location is definitely great. But the (single) rooms are very cramped, without a view (the window was covered with a temporary film) and not properly furnished. It is more like a thrown together pile of furniture. The "closet" had no doors and was in a narrow spot in the room so that you couldn't get through without moving your wardrobe back and forth.

The walls are quite thin and the floors (wooden planks covered with thick carpets) creak and the doors slam very loudly into the lock, so that you always have a certain background noise - even at night.

The free wifi always had a maximum speed of 0.5 Mbit / s for downloading and uploading! Supposedly nobody would have complained before !?

For the same money (London is very expensive anyway) you can also get other, better equipped hotels in the area.

There are differences in the rooms so make sure you get a good one... I booked a superior double and the first room i got didn't look anything like the images... ;( so i asked to change and got a very nice corner room, but pay attention to what they give you.

Central location, but next to a busy street, and above a pub, so not a quiet location. I explained by email a day before arriving that I am a very light sleeper, and asked for the quietest room available. I got a nice response saying that they would do what they could to accommodate my request. But when I cam to check in I was given a room directly opposite the lift (so people coming home from their night out, talking/laughing as they exited the lift, would be just a few feet away from my bed), unless I was willing to pay for a more expensive room. I looked at the room, which was small, but seemed fine (see photos) but decided to go somewhere else.

It's OK for the money, especially when considering the central location. However the walls are paper thin and the next rooms T.V and hairdryer came through very clearly.

The two radiators in the room were also extremely loud when turned on. Too loud to sleep, and only luke warm hot for all that noise.

Plus points is a big comfy bed with excellent pillows, mattress and giants sized duvet. Room was very clean and generally in good condition.

I think I'd come again because of the location and pricing.

Don't be fooled by carefully selected photos of the rooms and the trendy entrance. After shimmying into the room it reminded me of my nans airing cupboard. small, peeling wallpaper and about as much light. Dirty walls and stains on the floors are what you might expect at a travelodge at half the price...

We stayed 2 nights in the rooftop penthouse, celebrating 40 years of marriage and it was like a honeymoon suite, incredible views from the terrace, bread with butter and jam in the cafeteria and espresso coffee, the staff helped us a lot since I canceled and we had to connect another flight at midnight, but I think it is the only time that they do not have to meet multiple demands of the guests, it hurts I could not get one of the extra-soft bath robes with jacuzxi

Nice hotel. The location is more than fine. The room is clean and has everything you need. The beds are great. The air conditioning is doing well, the windows can open a bit. Unfortunately the ramer are stickered and therefore you cannot really look outside (although we do not really have a view). The hotel is somewhat dated here and there but looks fairly modern. The service is very good, the staff is friendly and helpful, we had forgotten that the socket in England is different from the one in the Netherlands, for this we received two free plug blocks with which we could easily solve this problem.

My single room was about the size of a prison cell. For a prison cell, however, I give 5/5 stars as there were alcoholic drinks in the minibar, I had a private shower, and I could leave anytime I wanted.

Hotel was nicer than expected and staff went above and beyond. I would recommend this Hotel. Great location. Less than 5 minute walk to the tube, a bar on the corner next door and a bakery attached to the lobby. Plus the British Museum was around the corner.

Room heating didn't work and reception couldn't do anything. I used the blow-dryer as a space heater. No hot water last day, so I didn't get to shower before my 11 hour flight. Otherwise convenient location, easy airport access via subway, outlets that remain on when you leave, fair bedding and no frills. Be aware that there's another hotel called "The Bloomsbury".

Very disappointing stay. Beware you may not get the room you are expecting. Booked through Expedia, which showed really modern ensuite standard doubles - I booked and so I was expecting that level of room. Turn up to check in a 5.30pm and I get this dated, tiny room. When I query with reception they say all the refurbished rooms go on a first come first served and there's nothing they can do. I wouldn't go back.

Definitely avoid this hotel!!!

Definitely avoid this hotel!!!
Room & bathroom sizes are tiny and the interior is how hotels looked in the 90 s. Stains on the carpet floor, super cheap mattress, broken knobs, half way painted walls and the list goes on and on.
Prices are okay for a stay in town but what you actually get for it is at best motel standard.
I only stayed for one night and will never in my life return to this dump.

A really nice hotel with a modern feel, comfy bed, clean and spacious bathroom really close to Tottenham court road. Location is excellent and as a last minute substitution for my normal hotel, I was really happy. Only one lift which ended up taking a while.

Excellent location but it took 3 days of constant reminding to repair the air conditioner (on very hot summer days).
Most of the small bathroom filled with a large bath (why not a compact shower ?) leaving space for only an uncomfortably small hand basin.

Very helpful and polite staff.

My family had a 4 night stay at this hotel recently, and the whole thing is more than average. Room much smaller than expected and that's saying something. My parents did not sleep the first day because of a street lamp that floods the room + the sound of ambulances all night long. The minimum would be to put in place a blackout curtain ... especially for the price. It's expensive and not worth it. Apart from the location that is in the center. If you can go your way.

Less than expected for 4 stars. The location was very convenient and the breakfast was nice.

Toilets were broken, we mentioned it on the first day, and we've been told that maintenance would come and fix it. They never came, and when we mentioned it again upon check-out, the answer was just 'oh yes, it's an old building, that's normal'. Well, I don't think it's normal to have a broken toilet for almost 200 eur / night... The room was very tiny, especially for 2. It was also rather noisy, although that's normal in such a central location. Breakfast is nice, but rather overpriced.

0 stars, worst hotel experience! I arrived to check in to the hotel and was placed in a room that had dirty walls and smelled like mold. When I told the front desk, they informed me there was nothing they could do about it and that was the best room that had available that night. If that was the best room, I would hate to see what the other rooms looked like. Ultimately ,I ended up leaving and relocating to another hotel. More like a motel than a hotel. Would not suggest staying here.

I had room 322.

I had room 322.

+ Air conditioning works, is stable and quiet
+ Rather powerful hair dryer
+ Refrigerator available in the room
+ Pillows are comfy - not too big

- The only available window faces a backyard where some sort of kitchen exhaust is operating
- Water in the shower is warm at most
- Breakfast is a cooperation with the nearby cafe - the menu is absolutely tiny
- A lot of dust

Overall, the hotel definitely does not rate 4 stars. 3 (overpriced) stars is an honest rating.

Hotel clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and the breakfast very good. Single room is clean but it is very small 5m2 (looks like a student room) and is also noisy. This is definitely not the price in my opinion.
