Very nice, clean, well kept hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and big windows that open. Gail s Bakery is right downstairs. Super convenient and very good quality.
Edit June 13, 2020. I really enjoyed the Cinnamon Rolls at Gail's Bakery, but have now realized, I think they are best ones I have ever had, before and since. Every Cinnamon Roll since Gail's, has been lacking.

Great hotel, hotel staff was so friendly and nice that they managed to surprise me on my birthday with a cake and balloon... Definitely recommend it and will be coming back on my next trip to London
The dirtiest hotel I ve ever been to. I couldn t believe the state of my room. When I went down to reception to discuss my concern I was met with an air of superiority and offered no apologies. I was actually told that s not possible. It took me 45 min to check in to another room and even though the duty manager initially offered me a refund when we went down to reception he said my booking it s not refundable. He went on and made fun of me for saying that this is not how I want to spend my holiday by questions me: 24 hours holidays? . Few days later after an official complaint the Guest Service Manager offered me in a standard template made e-mail a free upgrade to the next category and a complimentary breakfast. Shocked how this place is 4 stars. A horrible experience.
Nice hotel friendly pleasant staff, short walk from Oxford circus. Some rooms better than others try to avoid 108 suffers from light from nearby buildings and noise from air-conditioning condensers outside otherwise all good.
I was never checked in and checked out from the hotel for SO LONG. It took them 20 minutes to check in three of us. One of my fellow colleagues, when entered her room found a naked man inside. She went back for changing the room and got a other one. There were someone's stuff inside again. From third try they gave her a room with no guests inside. No kidding. When I was checking out, the receptionist was just in the middle of conversation with me when spotted some people claiming their luggage, he just stand up and went away dealing with their luggage and made me waiting for him for another 5 minutes. Just in the middle of my check out procedure. When I tried to buy something in a bar on the ground floor, after serving me when I claimed for the check, they said the accept no cards and cannot put this check on my room. Just in the middle of the night I woke up hearing screams and slaps!!! They were so loud like I had those guys just in my room. You gonna hear like guys next door flush toilet, talk and doing something more. Awful! I discourage everyone from staying in this hotel.
The single room I got was nothing like the pictures. They have some renovated rooms but also very outdated rooms. The outdated ones are like in hostels. The toilet at my room was not properly functioned and I had to push several times to flush. The shower drain got stuck very fast and the small shower space quickly became a little pond. The walls and the door are not soundproof, you can hear your neighbors shut the door or walking above you. Or construction outside. A few things I can recommend are the location, the breakfast downstairs and the complimentary tea and coffee (all a bit nicer brands) and small milk pouches instead of milk powder inside the room. But overall, I won t stay at this hotel again as for the money spent I d really stay at a nicer room than a room pretty much like a hostel with misleading pictures of the renovated rooms which you don t get.
Not a bad hotel - contemporary, conveniently located in the center of town with compact rooms for this price range but I expected more and there is alot of competition in the market. Nothing like the MyBrighton Hotel, this is more traditional and this just makes it like any other hotel chain with nothing to differentiate from any other. Sound insulation could be better. Can be VFM if you get a good mid week rate but at the range I paid for, I think there are better alternatives.
Clean room, and comfortable bed, but that was about it for me.
Carpeting in the hallway was rather loose, making it difficult to push luggage through.
Bedside table had a broken leg when we checked in. We advised staff three times, as we did not want to be billed for something that was already defective. The issue was not resolved upon checkout.
I stay in Fitzrovia a lot and this surprisingly was my first stay at My Bloomsbury.
It's an informal, yet nice hotel. Room was comfortable and clean with good aircon and good noise insulation (I was facing the road). If I have to find any negative with the room it would be size - it was a little on the small side.
Breakfast was continental and served in the cafe/bistro which had a nice atmosphere. Checkout was painless using the quick checkout envelope.
I've made it my default hotel when the price is right.
There was hair in my bed. It was so disgusting. The toilet smelled so bad, like sewers. They changed my room, then there was hair in the other bed as well. They then changed the bed sheets, but to be honest I will never come again.
Quiet hotel located centrally - good price too! I'd definitely come here again. Close to Oxford Street, the buses of Tottenham Court Road and tube stations. Staff aren't the friendliest & seem a bit vague at times - but maybe that's just a UK thing?
Rooms are... compact but clean. Good shower but some daft person put the upper shower holder too high to use. Breakfast was freshly prepared (not buffet) but limited selection and staff at breakfast need additional support to be efficient and meet customer needs. Especially for business customers.
Cozy hotel very conveniently located in Bloomsbury. The rooms are clean and the staff was cordial and friendly. The price was acceptable. We loved our stay there.
The cafe/restaurant in the hotel had great food and was very convenient. The room had nice decor. The bathroom and shower were a nice large size for Europe.
While my stay at the My Bloomsbury was ok, I have been billed twice for the room. After calling several times and sending several emails to solve this issue, I haven't heard back from the hotel. This explains the poor rating for complete lack of customer care in such a sensitive problem, again : unsolved for the past 2 month
Poor, slow service. Dirty carpets, toilets that barely flush, sinks that don't drain... Other than a decent location I don't have anything positive to say about this hotel. Would not recommend.
It was fine. 1st floor rooms are loud w traffic and pub crowd, and bright lights all night from businesses. Everything in room was great... clean, comfortable, free quality coffee and tea.
Very nice hotel! The location is great. It's near to a lot of stores, tourist attractions and restaurants. The staff is very nice as well. The rooms are very comfortable and a bit small.
Incredible location, good value for money (important in London). David solved a problem with total satisfaction on our part. This hotel is one of those that are worth it.
Great service, modern, rooms are spacious. Location is awesome (tube stations are very close). Ask for the continental breakfast to enjoy their fantastic croissants :-)
Someone needs to tell the staff how to say 'please' and 'thankyou'. Also took payment for the room from my card without confirming first. Wouldn't come back.
Great hotel and pretty cheap for central London. Bit out was early January. Less than 100 GBP for a night was still great! Very good interior design, but my room's carpet and furniture surfaces were pretty run down. The artisan bakery downstairs has the best almond marzipan croissant I ever had in my life
Really not good for the price - very noisy room (could here someone next door showering and moving around) and shower stopped working after about a minute (just long enough to soap up!) and then only incredibly hot water (I think the cold More
Stains and full of hair. Disgusted by their beds. The room is smaller than most prison cells and yet costs more than the Mandarin Oriental on some days
I went there with my friend and I must say that I was really satisfied with the service, stuff and as well with room itself. The place was clean and as per description. Stuff super friendly and helpful . We had a small problem with the room in the meaning of: system of the Hotel by mistake changed our room to smaller , the manager of the Hotel as compensation offered discount and breakfast for free, it was a good solution. Hotel located in a really good place. In the centre. Recommended
Unique virtue its location and the staff that goes out of their way to help, but the communication in Spanish is null, the furniture and the facilities are for an urgent renovation, being an expensive accommodation I More
NOT a 4 Star Hotel... Rooms are tiny, no room service after 3pm so forget about dinner in the room and make sure you check the mini bar because items are expired!
Youth hostel would be nicer and they lost my bag and didn t care!! Several problems but they failed to take accountability of any of them. I arrived early from the airport so paid for the previous night so I could get into my room early, when I checked in I was told by the supervisor that I should be grateful for being let into the room early (despite paying for the previous night). Don t bring a suitcase as there s no space in the room! Room wasn t cleaned one day despite clean my room tag being left on the door from 11am. They will give you vouchers for an in premises restaurant but don t tell you the restaurant changes name at 5pm so the vouchers are not valid! A very poor and disappointing experience. Avoid avoid avoid!!
Booked 7 nights stay and only been here for 2 nights but so far so good! Great service, a couple mistakes from housekeeping but reception afternoon shift fixed everything we told them right away! Great food options just downstairs!
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. Stayed last weekend in the myplace 1 penthouse which was stylish, extremely comfortable and exceptionally well serviced. I heartily recommend it.
A great disappointmemt. I booked with a corporate rate a standard room and found myself in a tiny one bed room with no natural light (the small window has an opaque glass,) definitely very different from the pictures of the room the hotel chooses to show online. There are clearly very different standards for this hotel's rooms nd customers should pay attention. I was not imaging a "standard room" to mean a room with a single bed ... I can hear every footstep above my room. That's also disturbing.
We've stayed here before so came again for 3 nights. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The shower was great and the air conditioning too. So necessary during the extreme temperatures throughout our stay. The food was good and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our eldest son and his partner are going to stay there for the 3rd time this weekend and they are very well travelled too. Thankyou
My accommodation at the hotel was comfortable. Very kind and helpful staff. clean and tidy places. I would like a more frequent change of bed linen. but definitely on my next trip to london it will be my first choice.
This is a fantastic hotel. I highly recommend it for its location and excellent staff. Be sure to get a superior double room as they are not much more expensive, but are much larger. The beds are the most comfortable I found in London, and it is nice to be in walking distance to so many locations.
The rooms look very different than the pictures online. Rooms are small and bathrooms are smaller. The rug is quite old. However, the room felt clean. Don t expect the extras like a bottle of water when you arrive. For the price, it s disappointing. The staff weren t so friendly, didn t open the door even when I left with a few pieces of luggage. One thing- if you plan to stay for more than one night and booking included breakfast, be aware that for a high price, you will still only have one selection to choose from (basically, same breakfast every day)- not continental.
Very well located, good rooms, nice service, nice breakfast, but very noisy, you can hear the people in the room next door brushing their teeth. So if you are a light sleeper avoid. I am a very deep sleeper as yet I was woken up multiple times
