This castle is impressive. You dive into the past and imagine the greatness of that time. A Renaissance castle situated on the Castle Hill in Szczecin, in the vicinity of the Odra River, the historic seat of the Griffin family, rulers of the Duchy of Pomerania, and the name of the cultural institution that administers the Castle.

One of the most important attractions of the city. Here is the Szczecin Opera and Museum with a tortura hall and an art hall. I advise you to go to the cake hall: they show a holographic film on behalf of the lady who was accused of witchcraft, tortured and burned. Impressive.

I recommend!

I recommend!
Big, nice, surprise. Well, who would have expected that in Poland, apart from the Royal Castle in Warsaw (which is only slightly over 70 years old), Wawel and Ksi Castle, there are other cool castles?
Meanwhile, the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle is beautiful. I recommend a walk around the castle and all the courtyards, the lookout tower is also a must.
Unfortunately, due to the collapse of the inner part, not all interiors are currently available.

The history of the ducal court in this place dates...

The history of the ducal court in this place dates back to the beginning of the 12th century. The origins of the castle date back to the mid-fourteenth century. The later fate of the castle was as turbulent as that of these lands. Rebuilt, rebuilt and finally devastated. Although an attempt was made to renovate the castle in 1925, it was the fiery enthusiasm of the then German authorities. The turmoil of the Second World War completed the destruction. The present appearance of the residence is the result of the reconstruction (or rather construction) in the years 1958 - 1970. What is left of the old centuries can be counted on the fingers.

Unfortunately, the castle is now under renovation so there was nothing to visit. The only exhibits that are available now are borrowed from Kielce. I will try to come in a few months maybe part of the renovation will be over and the above evaluation

A beautiful castle with a rich history, the children were very satisfied, even unsatisfied. Workshops devoted to types of paintings. It's nice to look at how you care about national goods. Certainly a must for every tourist visiting Szczecin. The cultural and entertainment offer at a decent level and the views from the tower are also nice;)

I waited all year to see the castle, as we are from Silesia, we decided to come see it when we were on vacation by the sea, we had the night in azy and it is over 200 km to Szczecin, but we went. On the spot, it turned out that there is a problem (which they did not tell us) and it is not possible to visit it, only in two days it will be possible !!! There is no information on this topic on the Internet, for me it is frivolous, no respect for those willing to visit. After all, the castle is for tourists to see and live from it, to say that I am disappointed is an understatement, because I do not know if we will be nearby again to be able to see it, for me such behavior does not encourage me to recommend this castle to others because it is not known whether next time it won't be the same. One star for all, the rest is one big minus
