In the place of the stronghold in the 14th century, Barmin III built today's Pomeranian Dukes' Castle. The duke's stronghold was built on the headland of the escarpment on the Oder. The castle was the seat of the Griffins, the dynasty of Pomeranian dukes. The current form is the result of post-war reconstruction. Not really my atmosphere, but nevertheless I think that the stronghold is worth visiting. During a visit to Szczecin, it is a must-see on the agenda.

The castle from the mid-fourteenth century is a real rarity for travelers. It is true that it is often difficult to get there by car, because the parking lots are a tragedy. But everything is downhill already. Guides and a nice arrangement of rooms. Everything accurately described and explained. A place worth recommending.

This could be an extra place, but unfortunately one of the largest castles in Poland is almost empty. Little is happening here. The crypt, exhibition, concert is really too little and people will not attract. The castle should live life also with stalls, painters, artists. You need cafes, souvenir stands and all this tourist infrastructure.
