Delicious food! And our server, Brittany, was kind enough to split our lasagna so we could share it. Our guest enjoyed her shrimp linguini. Good dessert menu, too! Had a gelato and a brownie with blueberries and ice cream. A lovely evening!
We ate all over Durango and this was the best food, service & ambiance! Everything was delicious and I grew up on Italian food in NY! From traditional dishes (chicken parmesan & lasagna) to the specials & the beef medallions! We were so full that we had to take dessert to go!
Americans always get the pasta to sauce ratio wrong. More sauce, less pasta. Wouldn't have bothered me so much if I didn't just pay $25 for glorified spaghetti Os. The sauce was more bland than my last relationship. It needed more garlic, herbs and wine. My last relationship just needed more wine.
Honestly I this was probably the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. The food was amazingly fresh. The butter for the bread alone was a surprise that had me craving for more. The antipasta apitizer popped with flavor. The best was the main course. I had the Mutu's pasta and sausage. The sauce was the creamy garlic and my wife's was the spicy marinara. I could not taste anything that resembled getting things from a store or can. It was so fresh and zesty. That atomosphere was as if we were in Italy and very cozy. I am only bummed this is not in Salt Lake City. I even left my compliments to the chef which I never do. This topped off our 22nd wedding anniversary and have a huge reason to return to Durango.
Visiting area..found this italian restaurant, delicious food, great service!!
The service here is horrible. Part of our group was served an hour before the other and our kids were charged adult prices off of the kids menu. It took an hour for them to figure out the check. Avoid this place
Easily my favorite restaurant in town-I try to go at least twice a month for over 2 years now! Perfect for date night- can dress up or come in your work clothes. Servers are awesome and all have great personalities. They seem genuinely happy to be there. Never had a long wait. Music is just the right level so you can have a conversation while still enjoying the ambiance. And all of the food is amazing! Consistent quality every time. Rich flavors that work great together and comes out at the perfect temperature. Keep up the great work!

Both the food and service were excellent. waitress offered to have the cook make my favorite Italian dish, even though it was not on the menu.
Fantastic Italian place off the beaten path! We had a fantastic server. They will also take your custom order. My son is Vegan and we were able to modify a dish for him. High recommend!
Destiny was a very good server. The music was terrific to add to the atmosphere. Food quality was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was amazing.. However the service was god awful. Me and my boyfriend both work in the industry and its sad when we usually tip 20%+ and had a hard time leaving that tonight. Our waiter Aaron told everyone around us the specials and offered them fresh parm for their dishes but we don t even get offered a second round of drinks? Please know he lost you money and customers. The buser/ food runner took better care of us then our waiter. That s just sad. If he basis his service on appearance and age he s doing it all wrong.

No wait to get a table. The food was ok. It was a bit expensive for mediocre food. Waitress was sweet but rarely came by the table to offer refills and it took quite a while to get the check. There was another waitress that walked by with a pitcher of water and my husband tried to ask her for a refill or to get our waitress and she just walked right by. There was no way she didn't see or hear him as she walked right next to him and was looking at him.
Dropped in for apps and drinks. Love the cocktail list, Hugo's Sprtiz was fabulous. The bartender Maddie was knowledgeable, friendly, and fun to talk to.

Excellent food and drinks, very friendly staff, and clearly trying for your business in a good way. On a fairly busy night, they were able to seat our 10 person group in less than an hour and serve us in a little over 20 min. Our server Aaron (not me I promise) was incredibly nice and helpful and came to check on us for drinks and other jeccesities on a regular basis. Vacationing here from Connecticut and have to say, if you enjoy Italian food, you WONT be disappointed here. Only minor complaint would be the slightly higher price tag, bit it's well worth it of you can afford it.
Used to be really our favorite place to visit! But this last visit food wasn't that great! :( services was great though. Will try again, but maybe not the Alfredo pasta.
Food was great - beginning with bread and Sun-dried tomato butter. Skiing Purgatory with two friends from Dallas, we all thought this was a REAL find.

Such a great restaurant! My wife and I went for date night and we had a great time. We requested some alterations to our order because we eat Keto and they were very good about accommodating us. We always enjoy Mutu's. I recommend the Antipasto. The waiter was great. The food was tasty, attractive and fresh. They have a very intimate feel and the mood is inviting. We always look forward to driving up to Durango for a special dinner there.
If you like frozen vegetables and lukewarm pasta,this is the place for you.My wife had a veal dish and it was tough.I had the fish and it was just OK.Very bad value for money spent.
Today was my first visit here. The food was good, but they seemed to have only one waitress working during the lunch hour on a Friday in the summer. She was running her feet off, but despite her hard work, she couldn't keep up with the tables she had. I hope this isn't how they usually staff the place. If I have to wait that long on my next visit, I won't bother coming back a third time.
The food was exquisite. The music was very romantic, the atmosphere was very private. We had a late dinner. We wiil be back. The service was impeccable. The flavors were amazing.
Everything was awesome. Had lasagna with sausage and tortellini with garlic cream sauce and a meatball. Absolutely delicious. Desserts are great and the sundried tomato herb spread is amazing.

We didn't even finish two of our meals. Bruscetta was delicious but for the price, $87.00 for 4 people, not worth it! My one daughter finished her lasagna, but another reviewer had it right...the sauces are bland and boring.

This place is clean, and has a beautiful interior. It was a great date for my husband and I, we loved the setting.
The food was delicious. I had the chicken tortellini and I didn't feel the need to alter it at all. For me thats amazing.
The potato masters I ordered on the side were a little bland but I'm pregnant and a salt fiend for my mashed potatoes.
We had the brownie for desert and it was DEVINE. Rich enough to share with another and feel like enough.
The prices were a little on the high side for us but I felt like the portions and quality made it very worth it.

Dinner. Wonderful patio setting. Food was exceptional. Service was a solid A. Prices were in line with the ambience and the food quality. Selection of both food and wine was good. They do take reservations which is great. Wish they were in my hometown. Great dining experience.
We truly enjoy every visit. The service is friendly, & willing to please. The food is prepared to our dietary needs Atmosphere very pleasant. Indeed, it is worth a visit when in Durango.

Tonight was the first night my wife and I had three privilege of eating at your RESTAURANT. We would both love to thank everyone from the hostess, to the server, to the cooks, to the dishwashers, THANK YOU ALL. WE LOVED IT.
Fantastic food and wine; great for impressing a date. Bar area is a lot of fun, it can be nice and private for a quick drink after dinner, but also hosts events really well.
Was served old chicken that smelled bad and tasted rancid. I was with a group and it would have been inappropriate to send it back but I wrote to the restaurant managed and explained that the chicken tasted old and rancid and the manager never took time to get back to me. Two thumbs down to Mutu's Italian Kitchen.
I ordered the beef medallions medium rare, but they came out quote raw. I asked our server to send them back, but they still came out under cooked. However, the server was extremely apologetic and took them off the bill. As we were getting up to leave, the general manager approached our table and also apologized for the undercooked meat. He said he would speak to the sous chef and make sure there was a clear understanding of the problem.

Food, drinks, and service were excellent, despite the COVID-19 concerns. It was one of few places offering dine-in service in Durango. Prices were reasonable. I ordered a chicken parmesaigna , which is normally plain dish, but they added some chili/spice which greatly increased the flavor. Highly recommend this place. Drinks were also good and reasonably priced. The place also has an outdoor patio.

I have commented on this place before, best non-pizza centric Italian in several hundred (thousand?) miles. The bar is gorgeous too. If you're any kind of a whiskey fan (I know, very Italian, right?) you need to try their Last Boulevardier.
