One of the best, if not best music shops I've been to thus far. I walked in and Brian was eager to help me get my guitar looking like new. He gave my fret board a new sleek shine and really went above and beyond. They will have all my business from now on. Thanks guys!
Went to a taylor road show and have been by several times since. Bought some strings and taylor apparel but no guitars although I'm planning to see if they will work out a trade with me on a gs mini. Great business and I hope we can work out a good trade.
Recently had a guitar set up done here, good work and faster than quoted turn around.
I bought an amp from these guys yesterday with the help of Bond. I wasn t exactly sure what I wanted but after talking with him, he set up 4 separate amps for me to switch between until I found what I was looking for. I got a great price and a rocking amp. This is my second time going there and it will not be my last. Both times I ve been, I ve had honest and friendly help without having to track anyone down or beg for assistance. Could not be happier with the service I received. Don t let this place pass you by.
Excellent customer service. All the best brands of gear. Extraordinary luthier on site.
Stopped by to check out the new Taylor V-Class guitars while on a visit to Asheville. They have a great selection and a great room to play them in. Shane was friendly, helpful and well informed. If I lived in Asheville, this would be my first choice for guitar gear.
Probably the best in town but that isn't a very high bar. I went today to buy a Taylor guitar and left, empty handed and unsatisfied...again. I'd like to do business locally but... They have a pretty good ukulele selection and knowledgeable sales staff.
This has become my go to guitar shop in Asheville. I feel like the staff are my buddies and I can walk in and trade stories and learn about gear. I've made every music purchase at MW since moving here and will wait until they have what I need in stock because they have earned all of my business.
Just purchased an amp with help from Graham and the crew and couldn t be happier with information and attention to detail.
If you re like me and want a good price, knowledge staff and support for local business, this is your spot!
Nice when you go into a buisiness and the employees are very knowledgeable and polite" A+ Thank you!"
Great service! We appreciate their curbside pick up as well!
Very knowledgeable and polite staff. I went in as a bit of a newb and they were very patient with me and help me set up my electric guitar for a quick turnaround and a very fair price. Highly recommend this business.
This music shop has a wide selection of acoustic, electric, and bass guitars. Also have a good selection of banjos, ukeleles, mandolins, drums, amps, and steroes. They are very helpful here and aren't pushy about buying instruments. They also do repairs and change strings. The man who changed mine did it in the less than ten minutes. If you are going to guitar center consider Musician's Workshop to sopport local business with just as good quality.
Folks in there are knowledgeable and polite. I bought a guitar from them and they gave me a free setup which is nice. They have a well stocked pedal case full of awesome Electro-Harmonix pedals. I live in Asheville so I visit them often. Give them a shot they are a good business.
Have bought 3 instruments there. Super smart staff. Only complaint is the small variety of gear. Been wanting a Warwick for so long, and if they carried just a few specialties id say its the best shop i've been in. Thanks guys!
The staff here is consistently top notch...giving you space when you need it but always available to answer questions.
Musician's Workshop is my favorite music shop in Asheville. They have a wide selection of instruments, equipment, and accessories. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the prices are fair. Brian was extremely helpful in helping me pick out the perfect Xmas gift for my partner. 10/10 experience all around and sure to be my go to for music shops in town.
I was bored with my 10+ year old telecaster. I felt like the tone options weren t that great and was only playing in the neck position. I contact Mark Toolan about some modifications and he was a tremendous help. He worked with me to find out what I was looking for and then figured out a way to make it happen. We ended up doing several mods on it and it sounds amazing. It s back to being my #1 guitar.
I highly recommend Mark for any guitar work.
Good lord, these guys could give 2 shites about you or what you would like to buy! Where to start? "I'm interested in a uke for my daughter"... Here let me show you how good I can play it because I'm a musician. Wasn't that a great riff? I'm not going to tell you anything about the different makes or anything.
"Hi, Can you you help me with a case for my guitar?" Sure... be right back. 10 minutes later.....
OK, guess not.
Look, I get it. Hard to find good help but jeez- these kids are clueless. Do they even take employee training?
I hate the big box guitar center but it's beginning to look like a viable alternative. Sad.
Locally owned! Always super helpful and honest. I've bought products and used their repair services quite a few times. Brought one of my electrics in the other day for some work by the onsite Luthier. Turned out that one of the work items I thought was an issue and requested be fixed really wasn't the problem. They found the real issue, fixed the guitar and bill was $30 cheaper than I was originally quoted. A+
These folks are absolutely amazing. So kind and helpful and they really know their stuff. They go above and beyond. I'd never go anywhere else. <3
great prices, helpful staff. needs an easier parking lot - but that ain't their fault.
Awsome place. Salesman are not pushy. Shane was awsome to do business with!! Great local shop!!
Great selection for a store this size. Friendly staff, great values. Have loved my experiences thus far.
It is not open on Sunday.
Google needs to update their info.
Traveled 50 miles to find the store closed.
Went in looking for a lanyard and they we're able to hook me up with some swag from a vendor - great guy Brian with awesome service! Thanks!!!
Looking to pick the guitar back up after twenty years, I did some shopping around. Just needed something simple and basic I started at pawn shops looking for a $100 acoustic guitar. I did find a couple at a couple different places, but I decided to check out the actual music shops as well. Finding my way to Musicians Workshop, I walked in slightly overwhelmed with the amazing selection, but everything seemed a bit too pricey, just enough for my learn on guitar. Until I found this 3/4 size Ibanez kit with a case and tuner. I decided to purchase it, the guys at the counter, both very helpful. The one guy pulled it out of the box and started tuning it, then realized that the neck needed some adjusting, he adjusted it and then wasn't overall happy with the action and asked me to grab another of the same guitar. He went over the same inspection of this one, got it perfectly tuned and tuned up. Ended up spending about $140 on the whole thing (BRAND NEW).
The point of this review is that I could have gone to another place, bought a guitar and walked out with a smile not knowing the AMAZING service I would have gotten at this place. I recommend this shop to anyone looking for a great experience.
Great folks, great attitudes, friendly and they know their stuff. Our family has been customers here since the dinosaurs walked.
Exceptional experience. Personnel were knowledgeable, experienced and displayed an exceptional level of customer service. John and his staff saved us over and $1000 on a purchase of a large screen TV. They installed it skillfully and followed up to ensure that we are using it as advertised. Can t say enough good things about John, his staff and the musicians workshop organization. Larry Marzullo
