I love this place. Used to come here in the early 90's in my late teens/early 20's. Returned 25 years later while dealing with a bad headache and it was truely a site for sore eyes. It was just as I remembered it, if not better. I've been to dozens of places around the country; you will never find another Music Millennium anywhere. Great selection of music and there are listening stations to try out stuff you never heard before. Staff is excellent. Ambiance of store 5/5 stars.

They got all the CDs and Vinyls you need, even German bands nobody's ever heard about. The store is divided into multiple sections, CDs separated from Vinyls and DVDs in between. You'll find a vast collection of Rock/Pop/Metal/Jazz and Blues but also a great amount of classical recordings for a good deal.

A lot of vinyls, cds, cassettes, and much more which makes it hard to find what exactly you're looking for. The staff are pretty quiet and don't ask if I need help or how i'm doing and i've went 3 times with every time having unfriendly staff. If you like exploring and searching for hours than this place is it otherwise you're better off calling and having them find it in stock for you at the store then going and picking it up.

I wish there was a bigger selection of Electronic CDs, however I think a lot of Electronic artists don't make physical releases anymore because of streaming services so it's not a big deal. Other than that, this place is awesome and if you like any kind of music, you should stop by.

Music Millennium is absolutely the best. I have been a customer since 1980..and have never been disappointed. If you are looking for something "special " or something that may need to be ordered, they do their best to find it. Their selection is mind blowing.

An amazing selection of music and a must visit when in Portland. Great selection of vinyl new and used. If you are an avid music collector definitely set aside some time to spend an afternoon here.

this place is a weird portal back in time... to the 90's mostly. who buys cd's?! it's crazy how many cd's are here! literally room upon room and 2 floors! luckily they have about 1.7 rooms worth of vinyl which is super awesome! there is a little section in the last cd room that is the discount mixed bag section. 1 to 3 dollar finds if you're willing to dig. they are super nice and do groupons once in a while so keep your eye's peeled on there! glad this place can stay in business. go support them!

Unfortunately I am writing in a much angrier note today.I am very livid. My first experience here at your store was yesterday and to sum it up it was nothing short of wonderful. The selection was very wide, and I found more than copious amounts of music I enjoy. Today I decided to give it a second go due to the amount of enjoyment I had looking through the large collection of vinyls and collectible items. In total I've spent $287.91 on a total of 11 vinyls in the past two days. With more than clear intention to continue to spend more at your store. However today left me with an experience quite frustrating upon arriving to my home to get a listen at the treasures I've found. To shorten and make my frustrations much more concise; two of the vinyls I've purchased at what is considered to be full price of $30 and $36. I am frustrated due to the fact that the vinyls quality was so poor that my expensive record player's arm was practically jumping. My expensive needle is now slightly bent. Not to mention I reside across the bridge. It is a 30 minute trip for me when I would like to go to this store. I would've had a much different attitude over this transaction if I were given any indication that the vinyls being sold to me were bootlegs. I think this is poor business practice. Even though I am more than sure not all of the vinyls sold to me are fake; the credibility of this shop is now ruined with me and I will attempt to return all of them. I, personally as a small business owner cannot continue to support a business that operates under any single amount of dishonest/disreputable conditIons. I am a firm believer in good consumerism; I hope this review reaches someone in the idea of aiding this long-standing store in the future.

Great to have this long-time Portland icon benefiting from the new interest in vinyl. Be aware that there are not a lot of old cheap records, most of the vinyl is new pressings at new prices. Lots of inexpensive CDs and tapes in all genres.

I've been shopping here for 15 years, this used to be my favorite store in Portland. Last time I was in the store, the store manager told me "People like you are the reason rent is going up thinking its fun to live in this city" blaming me for him not being able to pay his bills. Well guess what dude, its happening in every city. I'm not coming back in this store if I'm going to be treated like this. On average I spent $80 every visit to this store, well I guess I'll take my business to 2nd ave records and Everyday music.

One of the coolest places in Portland to go if you are into music! They have a huge selection of new and old albums. Was there on a CD release day and the staff was really accommodating through the whole process, from placing a pre-order online, to keeping us excited while we waited for them to open, having a nice setup outdoor of inventory, and finally having multiple checkouts to make the process even smoother. Met some fun customers and like-minded fans in line too!

This place looks like a dive , but once you enter it is a great record shop. I went in there for Santana and walked out with 3 more artists' CDs. They have special box sets, announce upcoming releases and are eager to help. Excellent place to lose millions and get lost.

Great store! It's really nice going into a music store and just browsing around and trying to discover something new. Seems like nobody does this anymore, which makes me really happy this place is around!

Very comprehensive real, actual record store, (CDs and vinyl), that has just about everything new and used. Just wish they had more soul 45s. They gave me a map of independent record stores which was helpful.

Music millennium has been the best music store in Oregon for generations! A deep, deep collection of new and used from all the genres. (world beat, rock, electronic, jazz, classical, comedy) Vinyl, CDs, movies and toys. The most knowledgeable staff on the planet, and always something new and interesting. "At last I can really browse."
