Mujeres Latinas en Acción (Mujeres) is a non-profit organization that has been serving the Latina community in Chicago for over 45 years. Founded in 1973, Mujeres has been empowering Latinas by providing services that reflect their values and culture, while also advocating for issues that make a difference in their lives.

In 2019 alone they were recognized by several organizations including The Chicago Community Trust’s Acting Up Awards which honored them with $50k grant award; The National Association of Latino Arts & Cultures (NALAC) awarded them $10k grant award; The Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence awarded them “Outstanding Community Partner” award; among others.
