I had a consultation yesterday at this immigration office with Christina I had to pay for the consultation upfront and before I go to their office I called and I asked them a straight question if I could transfer my wife's I 130 form from a service center to another service center and SHE SAID NO And I called USCIS this morning and they confirmed by repeating the same information three times if I could transfer my wife's I-30 form from a service center to another and USCIS SAID YES I can and they have the right to accept the transfer or deny it. So I called their office 15 minutes ago and spoke with Christina and I asked her to refund me my $250 consultation and she said no because she thinks she give me helpful information and she did and I respect that but at the same time she gave me false information and did not answer my main question properly and I came in just to get this question's answer because it doesn't have an answer online and she provided me with information that are available easy so that she deserved the consultation money for her Unknowing the law. I recommend you guys to call the USCIS because they help and give you all the answers you need.

I had a consultation with Christina Murdoch, regarding my visa, and changing my status from F-1 to whichever will work. First of all, they made me pay for consultation in advance. Second, miss Christina was late 35 min, I was scheduled at 3pm she showed up at 3:35 pm, which put me in unconfident situation since I left work earlier and drove from Countryside to downtown. Third, I heard from miss Christina nothing but what I read on google. Her willingness to help me was equal to 0 (ZERO) and she advised me to go back home and find a multinational company which would sponsor my H1B visa. Really!?! Fourth, they did not validate my parking, so I had to pay an extra $40. Also, miss Christina told me if they were to work on my case they would ask for $5000 upfront, and that would not be final amount of charges?! What case when you did not tell me what to do but to go back home. As a friend referred them to me I really expected they would have to say something helpful, but seems like I spent time and money for NOTHING.

To start off Mr. Pollock is by far the best Immigration Attorney in all of Chicago and Illinois that speaks Spanish and was perfect for our family. So, we messed up our Removal of Conditions application and received the dreaded RFE. When we put that application together it was very last minute and rushed because I procrastinated. Anything to do with USCIS stresses me out and I tend to bury my head in the sand. I decided to retain a lawyer as I didn't want to mess up again for the RFE. I shopped around for a bit. When I consulted with another lawyer that was highly recommended to us by a friend, he offered an affordable flat rate fee but he had made me feel like there was a good chance we wouldn't get approved because of circumstances that don't fit the mold of a traditional marriage. e.g. we don't file our taxes jointly, and I'm not on the deed of our condo. That consultation left me feeling nervous and had me catastrophizing future scenarios where I would get deported, my wife would only be able to visit me once a year resulting in the deterioration and ruin of our marriage, my dog would have to remain in the states because I would never risk him dying in cargo on a 20 hour plane ride, that I would never get to hug most of my friends and family again etc, etc.
After that consultation I had one set up with Scott who was highly recommended to me by a lawyer I work with at my work. This phone call was vastly different. We went over the same issues as the other lawyer but he made it seem like these were just small hurdles and as long as we could explain them, then USCIS would be satisfied.
