Perfectly located place right on the riverside. Got a great vibe inside. When the sun is out you can see right down the river and it is wonderful to say thr least. On those rainy or windy days the inside is a delight with deconstructed bikes and murals on the walls with friendly staff amd good food galore. Definitely worth the stop

Location and overall feel of the place superb, food pretty decent although not a patch on other offerings that have recently sprung up nearby, and service pretty shonky. Staff seemingly untrained and unattentive, had to holler to order both drinks and food. Gin and tonic eventually arrived without lemon/lime. When asked a plate of lemon wedges was brought! Really young, well-meaning staff but clueless. Food overall pretty nice but I think it's the building/location that keeps this place going.
Having been to Mud Dock on numerous occasions for both breakfast and dinner, the food is tasty and fresh, with both the dishes and service being consistent on every visit. The rooftop terrace is great for al fresco dining if the weather permits and the location is a stones throw from the busy Broad Quay area. I look forward to being back soon!
Then follow the path round until you find a small clearing in the trees (you will probably need an Ordinance Survey Map for this). You will walk down a small steep path between a gorge which will take you to river level. Now you can walk along the river and under the bridge itself which is a really amazing view.
We went there for an Xmas party and was great food and style of presentation of different dishes was perfect. The staff were well organised and can highly recommend.
Bought a chicken shawarma on wriggle. Flavours amazing and great value. Cocktails were unique and delicous. Staff service was a bit awkward as the waitress was a little rude, didn't encourage us to stay. Would return hopefully waitress will be a little happier next time.
Poor experience Ordered veggie breakfast - full english turned up Toast burnt, poached eggs overcooked Shashuka ordered , but not spicy and had fried eggs on top - think it was cooked by someone who has never eaten it before
Sunday breakfast at Mud Dock was great. Had Veggie brekky, it was yummy. Lovely fresh oj and cappuccino too. Overlooking the docks, what more could I ask for on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning
Staff very nice came on a coupon voucher the food was OK but very salty when we said the person said that's how it comes do you want cofree won't go back
Great venue. Had caramelised fennel with goats cheese and it hot every spot. Would definitely return. Waitresses can seem a bit surly it seems as mentioned in other reviews, but don t let it ruin your day.
Excellent food and coffee, fully recommend the vegetarian breakfast.
We asked for an outside table and was refused, only to watch an empty table outside for the duration of our meal, so the service was slightly disappointing.
Food and drinks were expensive...My food tasted awful, I ordered chicken schwarma & my cocktail tasted watery..staff looked miserable. The only positive was the open terrace with a lovely view. Would never dine there again!
Love this place. Bikes, beer, burgers. It does all three and it does them well. If you did MTBing in the 90s, there is some seriously retro-trick in there (sectioned carbon Cannondale Raven anyone?)
With iron chairs, huge tables, an enormous round window and bike parts for decoration, this converted warehouse above a bicycle shop makes an excellent choice for weekend brunch with friends, especially in summer when you can sit on its upper floor terrace and look out over the passing boats. The specials board complements a menu of sausage and mash, home made burgers, steak and plump sandwiches as well as tapas and mezze to share, all guzzled down with huge jugs of beer and chunky chips.
This is a great place for innovative food, good service and you get a good view of the river. And of course, there's an excellent bike shop downstairs!
This is the best wedding venue in Bristol! Beautiful views, an amazing building, quirky interior, spectacular food and by far the best staff & service I have ever come across.
The whole Team went above & beyond on our special day. A year later we still hear what a fantastic time our guests had and how it's the most beautiful venue with such incredible food.
Joao from the Mud Dock helped us throughout the whole process from booking our reception, to arranging the food tasting, organizing & setting up our decorations & was even there on the day to ensure every thing ran smoothly. Joao even saved me some of my wedding cake & gave it to me the next day, as I didn't get a chance to have a slice on the day.
The Team went the extra mile decorating the chalkboard they had on the wall, to putting our seating plan on a easel and even putting up a marquee on the terrace due to the rain! So much thought & care was put into our special day, I couldn't have done it better myself (And I'm a perfectionist).
The food was amazing from the tasting, to the canapes and the meal on the day. We still hear how much people enjoyed the food & how full they were but wanted to visit again. They accommodated, remembered and dealt with a lot of Gluten free, Vegans, Vegetarians & Kids without breaking a sweat.
It was everything we could have hoped for & more. We can not recommend the Mud Dock or it staff highly enough & we just wanted to take this chance to say a massive thank you!
The great location doesn't make up for a jaded menu and weirdly smug approach. We arrived just after 3pm for a late lunch, to be told they only serve tapas after 3pm. So we just had a drink - and watched as one by one the staff sat down to freshly made dishes from the 'unavailable' menu - right in front of us. Unbelievable!
Pretty location with a view from the terrace. Been there for lunch, good food (big breakfast plates) and drinks. Haven't tried the coffee but knowing the roaster they supply, it's a good one. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
