Moyer Indoor Outdoor Review

Moyer & Son was the company recommended by the company that installed my pool. I used them for a couple of years until I could not take it any more. They tend to hire temporary, unqualified, inexperienced college students to maintain pools for them in the summer months. The result is cloudy water, dirty pools, and damaged equipment. Their staff continually left open the electrical panel door when servicing my pool. I called them on this many times. Finally, after about the 4th time leaving the door open, it rained and shorted out the entire circuit panel. The cost to repair this was $3,500.00. They refused to accept responsibility and claimed that it was an act of God. I would stay away from them at all costs! They are dishonest, unreliable and expensive.

You are fired!
I ve gotten sick and tired of Moyer. Today I spent 15 minutes on a phone tree listening to their advertising trying to get to someone who could explain why they sent the same bill 4 times! Then when I got through to a real person, she tried to put me on hold. I said no and she proceeded to look up my account and say the bill was paid. Enough.

And get rid of the stupid Captcha on the website- no business in their right mind uses them any more.

We used another oil company for 23 years when we needed to replace oil tanks. I decided to get quotes from other companies. My first contact with Moyer was Sean, who is in oil sales. He was professional, informative and polite. I would like to add that he was also a nice person. Moyer s quote was competitive and we went with them. ALL of the men that came to do the installation and removal were carbon copies of Sean. In addition to all of the aforementioned attributes...they did a STELLAR job. CLEAN and PROFESSIONAL. Nice people. We needed wasps exterminated. Jim came out...all of the above attributes. He went above and beyond. Great guy. Needed burner serviced...Dan came out. Again..Courteous, professional....great job. Nice person. Catharine is in customer service, I speak to her almost every time I call. She is so sweet and kind and helpful. GREAT COMPANY! GREAT PEOPLE ! GREAT SERVICE.....No matter who I deal with at Moyer......Where does THAT ever happen? Thank you for being a great company, Debbie Blase

Moyer & Sons fills and has filled a number of our needs as home owners. They retrofitted our 1947 Cape Cod with central air conditioning. Their plumbing services have replaced sump pumps, installed a water powered backup sump pump (saved the day during the Nor'easters of a few years back), replaced our on-demand water heater when the one that came with the house started leaking, maintained our furnace and A/C, replaced outdoor faucet connections, it's a pretty long list.
Recently, they replaced our oil tank, since the one we had was most likely original to the house (1947, remember?). They arrived on time, removed the old tank from the basement, installed a new tank, tested it, and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. We are very happy with the work.

A coworker tried to use Moyer for a pest issue. A "tech" came out and said that an estimate would be sent that day. The "tech" said that he could get someone there within the next couple days to take care of issue. Sounded perfect except no estimate was sent and we had to call the "tech" about why he didn't send an estimate. He said that his computer was updated and that must have been the reason it wasn't sent. So my coworker called the "tech" and he said he would send another. Well 2 days later we still had not received one so we called and left a message with no response. We get an email later in the day explaining that he just spoke with his boss and they couldn't do the job. So he lied about sending the original email and lied about being able to do the job. Very trivial things to lie about and will never do business with this company again nor would I refer anyone to them.

Amazing quality of work! They installed my parents AC system and from the moment I called and set the appointment, they made my parents feel comfortable. Well worth the additional money that was quoted from other companies. Thanks Moyer!

From a 50 year old heater servicing to an incredibly difficult plumbing issue, these guys were awesome. Dedicated, informative, friendly, and stuck to their pricing even when old piping proved labor intensive! HIGHLY recommend!

I am handicap with a walker and i love how i can just purchase what i would like in side and the come out of the warehouse with it for you and even put it in your car. That is a great policy that it is wonderful. No complaints here!

This is my second property that I have used Moyer Services for..and have been very pleased. Costs are fair, response time is fast. They are my go-to company for Pool & Spa, HVAC, Plumbing, and Pest control.

We had them install a new oil tank in our basement. Left it as clean as it was before they started the work. Took them about 6-7 hours to do. They explained what exactly the will be doing and when they were done, things were clearly reviewed before they left. Matt and Leon were great and things were done well.

Paul and Jacob did a great job of re-piping some drain pipes. Had a minor leak later that evening which ended up being a manufacturer error with a catch drain. Within 20 mins of calling on 2 separate occasions (at first it seemed to be fixed by tightening some bolts) Jim came out. He was really personable and it s apparent he genuinely cares. Plus, my dog loved him (my dog is not typically friendly with strangers). This meant I didn t have to worry about locking him up! Overall, I ve used Moyer for other services and they are always excellent. I ve had numerous horrible experiences with other plumbing companies and contractors who didn t care about customer satisfaction and who clearly only cared about making a profit. Moyer employees are honest, punctual, reasonably priced, and provide quality service. I wouldn t recommend anyone else for your plumbing needs!

Have been a customer for many years in the Pest Control Division. Have an old farmhouse and their service has taken care of a lot of issues.

This is about the pest control division. This is the worst "professional service" we have hired in 26 years of living in Montgomery County.

A technician came out to handle a powder post beetle problem in our shed. The technician told me it would take 1 to 2 hours for the chemical to dry. Five days later, there was still an 18 inch wet stain running around the bottom of our shed! I also asked the technician how soon the chemical would take effect, and he was clueless. He could not answer this very basic question. Furthermore, he treated the inside surface of our shed door which was painted, and it still has an 18 inch stain across the bottom of our door. And we are still getting fresh power post beetle dust. Not only do I still have the problem, I now have to repaint part of my shed. One of their technicians told me it was not safe to go in our shed until the chemical dried, the other technician told me it was safe for humans from the start. So what am I to believe when I get completely opposite information from 2 people in the same company?

Call Orkin!, as I am now going to do. The one thing I learned? It is not SAFE to deal with Moyer Indoor / Outdoor.

We have used Moyer services for two major home repairs in the last few months, plus regular oil delivery service - and we wouldn't trust anyone else! From initial review to final clean up, Moyer is the best. Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional - Thanks Moyer!

Good prices on feed & supplies. Some prices are a little high, but they have what you need & have a rewards program. Friendly service & they load your vehicle for you. They also make their own grains (& corn, etc). I enjoy shopping here because they have better prices & selections than the chain stores do.

We've used Moyer for years, both for full season lawn treatment and selected servicrs. Highly recommend them.

We just had Thad and Dave to our home to install a new AC system. They were prompt, friendly, and dedicated to getting every detail of the job done perfectly. I would rate them 11 out of 10!

The crew did a nice job aerating and seeding the lawn. The office is willing to work with customers on pricing. And customer satisfaction is of importance.

I was referred to Moyer by a long time friend who had used them and was very satisfied. I called Mike T 3 years ago to get a quote on converting my oil heat and hot water to gas and he came down made some recommendations and left. He was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I told Mike that I was not ready to buy now but when I was ready, he would be first on my list to call. He made a few reasonable follow up calls but basically left me alone. 3 years later I was ready, I called Mike and we started up again. He came down and re-quoted and interestingly, the price was almost identical. A few weeks later I gave him the go ahead and we got the ball rolling. He told me to call PECO and that they would take 4-6 weeks to come out to do the gas hook up. After PECO arrived several weeks later, I called Mike and let him know. Art then scheduled the time for the guys to come and install the system. The guys showed up on time and each of them introduced themselves to me. I am naturally a skeptical person and I am leery about having strangers in my house for 3 days so I decided to work from home at least the first day. After seeing how professional they were, I let them have unfettered access to my house without me being there. The completely covered the basement floor with drop cloths and had all their tools laid out in a neat and orderly fashion. I checked in on them a few times and they seemed to get along with each other well. They didn't smoke or curse in my house. They were true professionals. On the second and third day, they called me to tell me they were finished. With the exception of 2 new pieces of equipment in my basement, you would never know they were there.
I would strongly recommend Moyer for my friends and family. They live the saying I used to have hanging on my office wall " A referral is sending someone you know and trust to someone you know and love".

The Moyer Team is always good to work with whether it's the in person Technicians or the office Team. Pleased to be one of their customers.

Needed an oil tank replaced ~ Great job, priced right! These guys made a hard job look easy. Installation was done right, everything level and straight and I appreciate that they took the time to apply a good coat of paint. ~ they even left the room cleaner than when they arrived! Thank you!

I have always been very grateful for the very high standard of quality and trustworthy service I consistently receive from working with Moyer Indoor Outdoor. Their customer service and individuals that come out to your home for service calls, are always polite, reliable and can be let into your home with confidence. I have used their services for many years and look forward to working with them them for many more.

Wish I could give zero stars. My full review/story is on their facebook page. Google reviews will not allow me to copy and paste. Been a customer since 2001. I am sad and disappointed with the latest experience of lack of customer service and care I noted yesterday Wednesday June 13. A particular phone rep handling calls couldn't care less on wasting a customer's time. The company pushed back our 12-2 time slot to 2-5 without notifying me or my mom (who I recommended Moyer to). That 12-2 was confirmed days prior with 2 staff members. Between 2:01 pm to 2:40 pm, I wasted more of my time on the phone trying to get an update. I was told 3 different stories backpedaling why things were handled the way they were, placing final blame on the initial rep that I made the appointment with on Monday June 11. Their site has a page that says "why Moyer?" And their first 2 bullet points are that they value a customer's time and are accommodating, and that they believe in communication. Neither were met. And as for the final points on their website page, they did NOT exceed expectations and we definitely were not satisfied. It saddens me to end my business with them. But when the company comes across that they don't care over the phone and then feeds 3 different stories, I don't want to spend my money there. I will say that the plumbing manager Alex Reeves did apologize, but the damage was done already by the first rep I spoke with in yesterday's phone call. A discount of some sort should have been offered for the mishandling and the not so friendly call by the customer service rep yesterday, but I had to ask Alex for one. He did offer $50 towards the service fee. In the end, we opted to cancel the appointment all together and decided to go with another plumbing company. I will no longer recommend Moyer Indoor Outdoor to others. I grew embarrassed yesterday since I made this recommendation.

I have been using Moyer for home heating oil delivery for roughly two years. I was surprised to find my bill for the last delivery to be about the same as last year when oil was a dollar a gallon more. The price I paid was 3.29/gallon while other local firms are selling for 2.41/gallon. I paid an additional $189. Shame on me for not checking before hand and shame on Moyer for price gouging. I will not be using them again.

Today I called Moyer for current price - $2.899/gal.
I ordered from Ranson for $2.169/gal.
Steinly was $2.319/gal.

This company did an excellent job installing my heating and air conditioning unit. They cleaned up everything after they were done. The salesman was very professional and gave me a great price on the unit. I would definitely use this company again. I highly recommend them.

No water on Saturday morning. I was fixed before noon, but we will need a new submersible well pump, which got installed before noon on Monday. Mike and Paul were professional, efficient, and answered my many questions. I have used Moyer for my oil burner service, redirecting water to avoid a fractured pipe above a spring house, and installation of three HVAC mini splits. A reliable company.

I called very early in the morning with a water leak upstairs going through the floor pouring into my downstairs. They set up an appointment for ASAP and Chris was at my house shortly after. Chris was polite, professional and very good at his job. Thank you Moyer Indoor/Outdoor.

I'd give a negative star if I could. They are contracted to come every 4 weeks and in between in we call. So, lately it s been that in 2 weeks we can see the weeds coming back, so we call. It takes at least 2 weeks to get dispatch to put us on the schedule. You guessed it .that s our 4 week regular treatment, and they are usually late! DO NOT USE MOYER. I feel that they changed hands some how because in the past 3 years their service has changed 180 degrees. I had them for Lawn, Landscape, HVAC, Plumbing, Pest Control, and more. I have them for NOTHING anymore. This is my parents house, so working on fixing this mess for this year and then NO MORE MOYER unless they can PROVE 110% that they can go back to the service they used to give.

I have been a Moyers customer for over 30 years. While I have always found them to be respectful, responsible, and very professional, last week they were exceptional. What I thought would be a routine service call for an oil burner problem, turned out to be anything but simple. The Moyers technician arrived at about 3:30 as enthusiastic and positive as someone just starting their day not coming down the home - stretch of it. After assessing the situation, he diagnosed three separate problems and seemed genuinely excited to get started. He then spent the next four hours cheerfully working through the problems with the same enthusiasm and smiling persona as when he first arrived. Once everything was fully operational, I was given an overview of what had been done as well as a what to look for list just in case some tweaking was necessary. He wanted to be sure that I understood everything just in case.
Good people who genuinely seem to enjoy their work and are good at it that s what I ve always gotten from Moyers.

Had them inspect my oil tank after receiving a letter from them, glad I did. I was smelling oil, and here My tank was leaking oil through the rust spot, and it was at the point that it would collapse any day. Thanks to Sean Rader for expediting the install of new tank. Thank you to Matt and Dave who installed my new tank. They did a great job. I felt bad that they were here all day installing my tank. I now feel very safe thanks to Moyer. I highly recommend them.

I have been a loyal longtime customer of Moyer and Son for over 20 years.
Our recent visits by Nick, of their plumbing dept, is why.
Not only was he professional and courteous during his visit but he resolved the problem and kept us updated while he was completing the job.
While some might think plumbers are expensive, he kept the job to a fair price and explained all the work he had done.
I have before and will again recommend Moyer and Sons to others.

During a basement renovation we used Moyer to remove an older oil tank, put a temporary tank in place during renovation, and then install a new tank when the renovation was complete. During the initial sales appointment, Brent laid out a couple options with a focus on controlling the cost of the job for us. The technicians who performed the work were skilled, professional, thorough, courteous, and left my basement spotless. Matt M. went above and beyond to take a look at an unrelated issue with our boiler and he gave us a thorough explanation so that we could proceed with the necessary repair work. We truly appreciate his extra effort. Our thanks to everyone involved with the work. We are very satisfied and we feel that Moyer will stand behind their work.

I want to recognize Mike for doing such an outstanding job. Mike is so personable and took time to explain the issue and possible options to resolve the water pressure problems we were having. Mike made himself available and showed he really cared about satisfying us as a customer. Mike way beyond satisfied expectations but far EXCEEDED my expectations. Mike took time to really listen to my descriptions of issues I've had with our water pressure and was able to fix the issues so efficiently that I was completely amazed! For the first time in all t h e years I've lived in my house, I finally was able to get water pressure like you would at a 5star hotel!

We used Moyer for the first time 3 years ago when we moved into our home and we have never stopped. They have since replaced 2 heating and cooling systems and installed a humidifier all with the utmost respect to our home.
