Moxies Review

I received the worst service here tonight in the lounge. The only time our serve came over was when she took our order and to give our bills. She wasn't even the one to bring over our food and didn't fill our water even ONCE. I had to share water with my friends. I ordered dessert after our meals and waited 20 minutes, then had to call her over to ask if she is going to bring over our dessert and she said she hasn't ordered it. She didn't offer to order it now and just said my bad. Pretty crappy since the main reason we came to moxies was for the dessert and we didn't get any. Once she realized we were unhappy we just stopped talking and took our payments awkwardly. Not happy with the service here tonight at all.

Great Maxie s location! Everything that we tried was wonderful and supper fresh and yummy! I guess that the fact the the head offices are at the same location make this place better and so you sometimes will get a little bit different menu because they try new recipes! I love moxie s because their food is so flavorful and balanced! Always having great time going there! There s a big parking lot at the location as well.

Moxies has always been a calm and soothing place. Their team has always been polite and food is good.

If you are in to mood for a really good chocolate dessert, this is the place.

Their white chocolate brownies are f-ing delicious.

Rest of their food is good too. I am a big chicken wing guy, and among the "fancy" restaurants, they have some of the best chicken wings.

Its a Moxies so same as all the other Joey's cactus clubs, but a bit cheaper. Generally good attentive service at this location although they did miss a main course order for one of the group and then we had to ask them to comp it. Given it arrived so far after the other meals I would have expected that automatically and an apology. That all said, that is the only miss I can think of in the last 5 years of comming here when staying at the nearby hotels.

Absolutely fabulous. Went on 14th Feb for my daughter's birthday (mentioned it on reservation). Was quite impressed by their attention to detail, right from greeting her with a warm birthday wish to paying special attention to her desert... despite their busy valentine day service.

The food tastes amazing like always. I've been to this location a few times. This was the first time when I got really poor customer service. 4 of the staff completely ignored me when I needed help. And even though I ordered from the happy hour menu during happy hour, I was still charged full price. Disappointed this around, might have better luck next time

My daughter-in law and myself were going on a shopping trip to find christmas outfits for the grandchildren. I wanted to treat her to a nice meal before we braved the stores. We were not disappointed the meal was delicious. I had the pancetta and aged white cheddar benedict it was a different twist to the benedict and very tasty. My daughter-in law had the classic breakfast and even that was a tasty meal. The service was wonderful, she was very attentive. We were early (9 am) so it wasn't busy and it was a nice quiet enjoyable start to the day!

Extremely rude people work here.
I checked online on a Saturday night that they close at 2 am. I drove from downtown and got there at 1:40
I was told that we just did last call and are not serving any more customers.
This is why I choose cactus over moxies.

Always enjoy Moxie's. Good food with large portions, great drink options. Decent serving staff and service considering they are working with a smaller then needed staff

We have always enjoyed Moxie's Barlow location, good service, good food and reasonably priced.

If you are inquiring about the deep fried delicious donkey dishes, the staff will most likely speak only whispers. The cursed cauliflower will make short work of your enemies, but be wary child, the haunted horseradish is lurking in the shadows. A potato to the face will buy silence for a time, but a chopstick through the heart buys silence forever.

To dine in we really enjoy the food but I will never order Moxie s through skip the dishes again. Our order was wrong and it was really late even though we ordered it 4 hours in advance. Poor service and no satisfaction when we followed up on this issue.

Little busy retaurant,less staff on service ,delay in service,food is okay.

Good location very tasty food. Portions sizes change depending on who cooks I think but all in all quality is there when it comes to taste.

Spicy Tuna was good. If you like spice, you should try it. It has bit of kick to it.

Great location. Atmosphere and people were great. Salmon Avocado Cobb was the way to go for me.

This place is attached to the Sandman. Food and drinks have always been delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere changes drastically from lounge to main seating and also can really differ with what day/time you choose to go. Staff has always been friendly in the last 3 years I've been going.

This place is my favorite. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this place I keep coming back again and again. The team is very warm and the food they offer is so flavorful. I am always happy to have a good meal here. Highly recommended.

I'm just amazed at the level of customer service this day and age. I don't know if it's just me being stubborn and sticking with my old school roots and not willing to conform to today's expectations, or times are that sad nowadays and this is what we have to look forward towards.
Case in point, I visited Moxie's Grill & Bar in Market Mall and the food quality was sub par. We didn't want to embarrass the server since this was the second time visiting this location within a month because our earlier visits experience was also sub par with the quality of the food. To avoid dragging this on I visited the Moxie's Grill & Bar website and explained the quality of our food and the situation. So here's where it gets interesting with the type of customer service I received.
I received one of those automated responses stating my comments have been received and I'll be contacted by someone within the next 48 hours. Three days later no response. So I make another comment on the Moxie's Grill & Bar website and say how disappointed I am because they didn't follow through with their commitment. I then received a snide sounding response from the Moxie's Grill & Bar Area Manager, Jeff Shirley, stating that someone from the Market Mall location did in fact contact me to discuss our experience. WRONG! I received no message in my voice mail, no missed calls in my call log or any email. I send another comment on the Moxie's Grill & Bar website at which time I copy and pasted the Area Manager's email response. I also replied directly to the Area Manager's email which was provided to me if I wanted to discuss this matter further. That was last Thursday, four days ago. No surprise to me I have not received any response from the Area Manager since.
So like I said at the beginning, the customer service these days has become so lack luster with no accountability when questioned. Nice going Moxie's Grill & Bar !

Excellent service Friendly staff. Best burger I think I have ever had (loaded burger ) and the brownie desert was delicious. Only one complaint and that is the staff should be trained on handling food vouchers or communication between the hotel and the restaurant is extremely bad. But the Manager of the Restaurant made everything better considering my stressful week. Very friendly and helpful. Thank You.

Impeccable service from the minute we entered to the moment we left. The menu is interesting and caters for many tastes. Our table ordered fish tacos, grilled cheese sandwich, Red Thai curry and steak & shrimps. Each dish was tasty and wonderful. The desserts were terrific as well. And above all the service - it was friendly, professional and genuinely attentive. The warm ambience certainly added to the enjoyable evening. Give this place a shot. You will like it.

Great wings got them almost every night here on my stay

They have done some fantastic renovations to this location. The dining room is nice and the bar section is super funky. Service was very good. And the food was good. It is a great place to grab a bite and hangout and chat, especially on the lounge area.

I ve been to this moxies plenty of times before - however this time I was absolutely disgusted to see mice in the patio area scurrying through our feet as we ate. When I brought this to the attention of the server she simply replied oh yeah, they re wreaking havoc but I think they re kinda cute ... as I requested to move inside with my toddler I was even more disappointed that they just shrugged it off didn t offer to discount our meal given the hassle of having to move due to a pesky rodent. If I know anything about rodents if you see one you know there s more and it was plain nasty. definitely never coming back! I just couldn t shake the idea of them being inside the kitchen!

This is 'the' place to go for me and my grandsons. Always great food!

Waitress provided a dirty wine glass and was upset I asked for a new one! After that NO SERVICE was offered. Service was reinstated on shift change!

Great drinks! The hand smashed guacamole is so good. Our server Bria was amazing.

My son took me to Moxies for Mother s Day. I tried the fish tacos (amazing) and left with a potted plant. What a wonderful experience and a great day

I usually go to this place when I'm looking to eat something late. Very stylish and trendy atmosphere, but the service is very friendly and it's a great place to hang out with friends and get a bite to eat.

Food tastes great! Pricing is competitive to similar restaurants, and the drink selection is good. The lounge is great if you like a more upbeat atmosphere, and the restaurant side can be quiet and cosy enough for an intimate date.

Best Moxie's in the city, expect the best of everything at this location as its their Corporate Headquarters. All of the test menu items are here first, and the bartenders and wait staff are the best. Patrons can expect a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere that takes this out of the "chain restaurant" norm.

Even regional cuisine is done with great attention to detail and satisfies the pickiest palette. Try their new flat bread and thin crust pizzas, my favorite is the mushroom one!

Service was a bit slow, but excellent spot for going out with friends or family. Great setting and staff is friendly as well

We ended up comming here on a whim since we havent tried moxies in a long while. It was a pleasant surprise to see a newer menu with more than 1 choice for people who dont eat meat.

Our server was nowhere to be found and we were constantly having to ask the poor hostess for refills, to-go boxes, and to find the server. The food value was lacking, you really don't get much for how much you pay and how long the wait is before the server comes around again.
