Well worked out concept, neat, efficient and fast. Attention has been paid to the decoration and the service is good.

Sushi is always delicious and is served quickly. Staff is also friendly and with all you can eat it is also very affordable. In short, a must!

Don't understand the bad reviews. Food superb and staff friendly. And yes sometimes it can go a little different, especially now in the corona time.

Worst experience ever in a sushi tent. Waiting a quarter outside while we had a reservation, having to wait half an hour for the first drink (by the way, second and third round too), after an hour we had not yet received our first round of sushi, wait staff does not listen if you ask them something (or half) and if you express your frustration to the owner at the end of the evening, you will get a round of the house. Excuse me: the WiFi didn't work well and we also worked hard. She doesn't care about the fact that your fun evening is turned into a frustrating one. You just aren't being taken seriously. Never again Motto Alkmaar!

The motto has changed the menu a bit, this is to the advantage of the options, when busy you notice that the quality of the food goes down, the sushi gets a bit looser.

During ordering, we had to improve the order several times due to multiple miscommunications. then wait half an hour while the restaurant might have been occupied with 4 tables and in the end the order was incomplete and the receipt paid for dishes that we did not want and we missed more than 1/3 of the order. The food was weak and did not taste really fresh. Unfortunately no more for us next time.

Good sushi and most tepanyaki were tasty. Service can be a bit slow at the weekend.

Portions size are really small, but that s fine because you can try a lot of their menu! Uramaki where unevenly cut. Just small details. We came in when it was not so busy, so service was very fast. When it did get busy , we did notice a significant drop in quality of the sushi, as well as the hot dishes. Shame. But overall, good price for what you get!

Wow significantly deteriorated. Tables and menu cards were very dirty. A simple request for cutlery for someone in the company was never brought. Eventually I left the table to arrange it. Then immediately walked to the toilet to clean the cutlery itself . Even that was dirty in a cupboard. Service is really very poor. Food ok.

Food is fine but at a certain point we have been waiting for almost an hour for the second course to subsequently get the third course after 5 minutes.

They have very tasty sushi here and other dishes. Fast service with the food and drink delivery. It's just a pity that drinking is so expensive.

It used to be nice and cozy and clean. You are in contact with the ministry. Eaten here tonight. Never want to go back. That little woman. One of those girls is that she is the manager but not acting like a manager. RUDE! Food is moderate. You dont feel the warm atmosphere inside. Menu card not clean. Plastic plate really? Beef rolls watery and bland. Order papers on the floor. This is the sausage Japanese resto we've been. Not coming back again! Waste of your money.

Eaten here for the first time a few years ago, when it was just great. Last night it was simply bad. And the restaurant wasn't even a quarter full.

We had booked a table at half past seven. Great, you have all the time until 10 am when the kitchen closes. After being ignored for a good 5 minutes at the counter, we were guided to our table. Our first drinks arrived fairly smoothly, and we quickly filled in our menu. This was only noticed by the ministry after about fifteen minutes (this was the case for all three rounds). In the end we had to wait almost half an hour before our first round arrived. The first snacks in any case, it took another half an hour before the complete first round was present. The second round took another hour. At 10 minutes to half past 10, when we were waiting for our third round (!), We were told that we could not order again, because the kitchen was going to close. Nothing could be done about this anymore. So actually we could only do 3 rounds in the 2.5 hours we had. Not that it wasn't enough, but we were a bit surprised. The following rounds of drinks also took more than half an hour between ordering and delivering to the table. The service seemed absolutely uninterested in what they were doing, and were mostly looking at their watches.

The food was otherwise reasonable, although I have never seen so much mayonnaise and honey mustard sauce with sushi.

No more sushi motto for us.

Eating there is really delicious. Operation not entirely. Came 15 minutes early for the reservation. Instead of offering a drink, we were asked to come back later .. very special

Stupid tablets, no contact with operation ... Not that that was good before. And the sushi doesn't taste like anything. They employ bad sushi rollers, because everything falls apart. If you really like sushi then don't go here, a waste of your time / money.

Sushi is fine, not great but certainly not bad either. It is a pleasant place to sit, despite the size it still feels cozy. The service was a bit disappointing, little contact with the service, and as soon as it became a bit busier it all took quite a long time. When we had a question and called digital control for help, nobody came at all. Eventually someone with difficulty stopped. That was a pity.
And indeed, booking for the busier evenings is certainly handy!

Small strange fact: the single espresso is more expensive than the double espresso. (And both are much more expensive than coffee).

Spaciously laid out restaurant with nice benches and chairs. Nicely dressed and a warm appearance. Wide choice of small dishes with and without meat. We found everything very tasty and we had a delicious dinner. The service is smooth.
Ordering goes through a tablet and this work is actually very pleasant and smooth. The sushi is very tasty, the salads wonderfully fresh. We will definitely come back.

The majority of the dishes were well prepared, the only drawback of the cold and hot dishes is that not everyone gets their food at the same time, which is understandable with this diversity.
Extensive drinks menu with 2 Japanese beers, huge selection of sake, wines, soft drinks and other beers.
Good to see that for non-sushi lovers there is not enough fish / seafood on the menu, so something for everyone.

The service could be raised to a higher level, since most dishes and beverages are placed on the table in this way, because of the high workload, the staff will walk away.
In terms of price, with an average of 34 per person it is perfectly possible to do an all u can eat restaurant, note! you get a maximum of 2.5 hours to order food.

It is an average sushi place, I definitely had better!

I always like this place for some quick sushi! Quality is pretty good for all you can eat. Service is usually really nice and fast, busy days can seem a little hectic and makes service a little slower sometimes.

Dirty Toilet, dishes not completely clean, not so much choice and for some dishes you have to pay extra. Nice sushi.

Easy ordering, unfortunately the food was disappointing so we would not come back here soon.

The menus on the table are not very clean. Orders are placed via tablet, which means there is almost no contact between employees and guests.

The food was quite good , so was the service. It's not cheap! (For teens for example) That's logical ofc but if you want to eat low budget I wouldn't go here.
The sfere is also good with nice decorations.

Bad experience ever with a restaurant! They first throw a dish over my back while eating while I'm just eating. Then they just walk away and I can clean my back myself. Then went to the dry cleaners, the stains did not come out of my shirt and sweater. Total costs for the sweater, shirt and dry cleaning: 71, and then you get just half back ... bizarre experience, never go here again.

Great food, nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the table was not completely clean when we arrived. In addition, we could not sit at the window because we had not reserved. Tasty of course but unfortunately we got the brownies we ordered only so late that our time was up ... Furthermore, sushi fresh and lots of choice normal price so fine. Only the brownies were late, so we were unable to eat them within the time limit (our bus also left). Another downside: the menu was very dirty and the tablet on which you ordered it was also rancid. Please clean it next time. And, of course, tap water is not available unless you order wine with it ... That is a shame but understandable given their all you can eat price.

Tried to order some sushi from Motto last night via Ubereats. They took our order and we could see on the app it was accepted. 1.5 hours later we looked on the app, and it said it would be delivered in 15 minutes, with the name of the delivery guy and his picture. 20 minutes later we check again in the app, and it says our order was cancelled by Motto. How on earth do you cancel an order after nearly 2 hours? On top of that, how do you not contact the people ordering and leave them hanging..

Nice place with good food. You're not really for very high quality sushi, but it's good enough.

Very low quality service. Control clearly does not make sense. The interior could also use an upgrade. Dishes were ok, but wouldn't go back anytime soon. Much better in this segment in Alkmaar.
