Motorway Direct plc Review

I have taken extended warranty with a second hand car. It had been giving trouble ever since buying. On two occassions, the showroom contacted warranty team for authorising repair costs. On one occasion, they covered part if the repair costs and the response was quick enough. Although no communication with me about what they are laying for and what they are not!!!!
On second occassion (during COVID-19 to be fair), the response from them was extremely slow and poor communication leading to delay in authorising part of payment and car was with garage for 3.5 weeks!!!. Again, I had to ask them numerous times to explain the breakdown of what payment is covered by them and what not!!!




I have not chosen motorway direct myself but was offered when purchased used car through a dealer. It is worth checking the terms and conditions and what is covered and not covered when buying warranty. Also customer service/could communication with customers certainly could improve.

Really apprehensive reading these reviews when I started a claim but credit where credit is due motorway direct used a garage of my choice, communicated well with my local garage and covered 100% of the cost of sorting a blown head gasket. Really appreciated having the cover and them completly upholding their side.

They're awful. I'm waiting for more then 3 weeks for payment (the maximum number of days to wait for receiving the money according to their accounts team) and they not even answer back to the email I've sent them. No problem, I'll go further, if that's what it takes.

Absolute joke of a company take monthly direct debt and do not contact you car off road key worker and not even a email. Last occasion was told brake callipers were fine went in fit mot failed on dangerous calipers and back brakes costing me 600 to get roadworthy avoid wish I d listened to reviews before paying for a year of nothing

Warranty is supposed to give you piece of mind, with these you're more worried and have to jump through hoops to get the claim firstly checked then to get approved and fixed. You always feel they're looking for an excuse not to pay

As with almost every other review on here avoid this company like the plague and do not flush your money down the toilet. They will find a way to avoid paying out on every claim. I have wasted thousands over the years and had all of my claims rejected.

Please please stay away from this business they are a bunch of crooks .we took this cover when we brought our car from Car giant Gold cover everything covered with mechanical work etc well not the case I made a claim they refused the claim because a pipe needs replacing that's why the coolant is leaking. GOLD COVER more like NO COVER .

I think hat these people are scammers. I had issues with my car engine and they keep finding excuses not to cover the repair cost.
The last time I spoke to them they claimed that the would have paid had they taken the car to their own contractors for the repair.

Totally useless company. I should have known this is how they operate before taking the warranty. Ford Of Winsford should not be lying to customers and telling them this company is reputable. No I don't this so.
