Sushi tasted great and fresh! The bento boxes did come out before the sushi so we had to wait a bit while others in our party already got their food. We did have a fairly large sushi order between 3 people so I can understand why that would take longer. Other than that, the service was great so it wasn t too much of an inconvenience. Tables were spaced out pretty well.
Friends decided to check this place out for a friends birthday. With covid it's been difficult to reserve somewhere we're there isn't a lot of people. We did get lucky with this place. We had the whole patio to ourselves. Place was pretty dead.
Food was delicious I ordered the Moshi dinner plate. Comes with sushi and shrimp tempura some fruit and other delicious items.
Waiter on the other hand is the reason why I might never go again. He seemed bothered by us being there. When we asked him for his name to be able to address he said Paul and ran off. Later to find out from the host that, that isn't his name. As much as I loved the food. Waiter was rude and has no customer service experience at all. He would avoid us but asking like he was going to the patio open the door then turn around. Never asked ya if we needed anything. Didn't check in on us. When we would try to make friendly conversation he would give rude/yelling responses.
We had a friend that was vegetarian. He wanted to Moshi plate. He explained to the waiter that he was vegetarian and he wanted to Substitute the meat for vegetables. The waiter told him it's invitation crab and he can PICK IT OUT. After "finally" making the waiter understand our friend is vegetarian. Once he got his food, there was shrimp tempura, meat dumpling. If I didn't check it my friend would have eaten it! We never got his vegetarian sushi that he ordered on the side because he felt like he wasn't going to get a vegetarian Moshi dinner plate.
Very small portions for average flavor, good quality but very expensive sushi. Somewhat unique roll choices. None of the kitchen staff or sushi chefs were wearing their masks over their noses, so if you like safety precautions around your food this isn't the place. The 2 rolls pictured cost nearly $40.
Excellent food. Service was great too. Got sushi and padthai...rolls were so fancy and ..yum!
We enjoyed our delicious food . We hardly had to wait. The waiter was very helpful and polite. Over all nice evening.
We decided to give Moshi s a try on Monday to check out the $2 Nigiri. We re new to the area and wanted to find a close by place for sushi. Friendly staff, quick service, and not too crowded. Some measure of relief with the single use menus. The salmon and maguro nigiri were excellent, and the miso soup, which I always try at new places, was just hot enough with a perfect saltiness.
Used to be my favorite sushi place. Now, post COVID, 3/4 of the rolls contain cream cheese. Cream cheese is fine in a roll or two, but when it's more than half of your "specialty" rolls, you're just trying to save money by replacing expensive ingredients with a cheap one. When I'm spending $100 for lunch for two, I'm not looking to spend my money on cream cheese.
I'd give them 5 stars based on my first visit & wish I had then. But at least will preface this review with that so I can say something positive. Unfortunately this visit they dropped a star because of my blond, ash or whatever color hair it is friend who was all but flat out rude. I arrived @ 9:10 seeing their hours said till 9:30. Like most restaurants assumed it meant inside & seated by then. However though I was greeted and accepted, I was never made to feel that way with the server. He all put served me with his back turned & put off body language. My $50 including tip never felt so unappreciated in this pandemic than it did tonight. I was in & out before 10 but you would have thought I arrived @ 9:29 & stayed till 11:30. Not sure I can return. Thanks for the less than stellar service. But again appreciate being served and their were some employees who were pleasant & the food was good so they get 4 stars. Otherwise I'd give them less for my server's treatment.
Yellow tail was good. There was just one piece with a bit too much bloodline in it for my taste. Otherwise everything was great.
Very good food. Service could have been friendlier sushi is delish!
