The young lady who has been answering the phone at DPW for the last few months is the nastiest person I have ever spoken with an all the years I have been calling. I do not know what has happened or how she was hired however they need to find someone else to assist residents. Being condescending and rude is not how you speak to anyone calling with a question.
On Friday I called for deceased animal pick up for a dead cat in a box near a bus stop. It s quite disturbing seeing a poor dead animal everyday walking to and home from school, cats are my favorite animals! The lady on the phone said that they had already gotten a request for the pick up when I gave them the cat s location, it s Monday now and it s still there!
We have been calling for months about a street light that has been out and nothing. The same light was out before and took months to fix it and even then it was extremely dim and only worked for two weeks. It s so dark on our street that people can t see where they are walking. They keep saying they are coming and nothing
Dealing with this department is so exasperating! There is no accountability or ownership by anyone. They don't have any knowledge of ANYTHING and they can't tell you where to go to get the answers yourself. AFTER calling the Dept of Public Works, I didn't have any more understanding about anything than I had BEFORE I called. What purpose is the person answering the phone serving?!
i keep reporting on HOLES on the road on N columbus av between E SIDNEY AV AND E LINCOLN AV
AND NO ONE FIX IT and cars alway trying to go around it and getting into the other lane of the road that i find dangerous
when i call yesterday and try to explain the guy that answer the phone the location near holmes school he just hang up and didn't know where that located very unprofessional

We have been calling about a street light that has been out for months, a light that was out previously for just as long and no change. The street is extremely dark and dangerous as their is no visibility at all to see what or who may be around. Always a different excuse when calling.
Horrible, its a nightmare trying to reach anyone by phone. They are probably eating donuts and don't give a rats a** about the customer.
