The only redeemable thing about this cafe was the coffee quality. Decent coffee :)

This morning was awkward... It seemed that the owner was in and all staff were on edge. Wasn't the staffs' fault though, the owner/manager stared at customers and didnt seem friendly at all. Small tip - maybe dont reprimand staff in the front of the cafe - it's unprofessional.

We were hungry and decided to go elsewhere because the menu seemed overpriced.

Such a great discovery we made when we landed up there by chance with my friend the other day!!
The food was the best we had in a very long time!! It was filling, beautifully presented, colorful, tasty, healthy and with so many flavours !! It took us ages to order as we couldn't make a choice out of the delicious and varied menu!
The table service was outstanding without any fault from the counter to the end, it reminded us the high quality service from France and we adored it ! The cherry on the cake being the real crispy big slices of bread we had to wipe out the last bit of our plates...!
The only 2 details we thought worthy to improve were the outside terrace (small and not very welcoming) and the cold drinks (not homemade and not leveled with the quality of the food).
We will definitely come back and recommend this place !

Customer service was great! Back area kitchen using trainee cook on a Saturday. Conciliatory coffee only bettered sour taste. Extended wait with hair found on x 3 dishes 2 of which was a recook. No kids menu. Not a great first impression.

Five stars for great coffee awesome food (I had eggs benedict with halloumi on the side) so good and the eggs poached perfectly. Also service was exceptional with a smile. Fantastic guys!

Our favourite cafe in Brisbane. We frequent Morning After most weekends and never tire of it. The food (and presentation of it!) is excellent, all waiters are friendly and attentive and the cafe decor is on point. Would definitely recommend for a lovely breakfast or lunch.

Had the beef cheek rendang curry here on a recommendation from a friend and it was everything I love about a robust curry. The beef cheek was fall apart tender and the sauce was rich and salty. The roti was clearly cooked from scratch and was translucent and crispy when teased apart. I would recommend this dish to anyone!

The batch brew here is also worth enquiring about when you arrive. It changes regularly and it's served in a little beaker where you get about two decent cups from. Good value!

Put this in your must-do West End breakfast

Morning After should be enjoyed when your taste buds are ready to appreciate some awakening flavours.

The staff are attentive and welcoming.

Reading the creative menu leaves you a feeling of wow, anticipation and excitement .

And eating the food delivers on the promise with sensational taste.

We tried the:
Mushroom & leek croquettes, truffle yoghurt, avocado, tomato, haloumi, poached egg -

Potato rosti, thymed mushrooms, friarielli, poached eggs, truffle cheese, sour cream

Both dishes were $20 and well worth it.

And the coffee lived up to its reputation.

Cool open light and airy, spacious setting in fabulous West End. The menu selection took my taste buds to another place and had them wondering where this place had been all their life. Really good breakfast options for those that don't like to overload on the meat. I had sensational Mushroom and leek croquettes on a glaze of truffle infused yoghurt dressing with blanched cherry toms that popped in your mouth like little special umami bombs. Then there was this cocolisciuos latte that had me hungering for more. I'll be back for seconds thirds and fourths.

Friendly staff but very slow service. We arrived just after 1pm and were told at least 4 or 5 main dishes were no longer available. At 2pm, after waiting at least 45 minutes and despite other customers who had arrived after us receiving their meals, we were told our meals were 'coming shortly'. Our meals - which were basic - were ok, but definitely not worth the wait. We were offered complimentary drinks after complaining about the wait, but we declined and the only drink we'd already ordered wasn't deducted from the bill.

The food, coffee and decor is great - very polished cafe. However the customer service is beyond. We were seated at a bench facing a giant mirror (for x2 people sitting) despite plenty of other tables in the place. Constantly interrupted to check on things made conversations impossible. We were literally in and out within 15 minutes, no leisurely weekend breakfast vibes here!

This place is great! Great location. Great atmosphere. The staff are efficient, friendly and quick. The breakfast menu is jam packed with some really tasty and well presented meals.

Try the Scramble egg, nduja, scallion, feta crumb, fried leek, toast, chilli oil (nice!) OR the Avocado, summer tomatoes, Stracciatella, Hummus, basil, rye (awesome!) yes poached eggs that are actually poached well and won t fall off your fork. ;)

The coffee is from 5 senses 8/10. I will be definitely back for more.

Purposely came by to try their breakfast carbonara. The cafe wasn't too hard to get to by bus. There was seating indoors and outdoors and the dining area looked quite nice. The pasta had a nice bite to it and the sauce was nice, as was the egg. The biggest disappointment was the bits of rock salt in the dish. I would occasionally get a large salt crystal which made the mouthful too salty. Other than that the service and food were nice.
