Terrible service. I only wanted one waitress! My food was okay and my friends were slightly disappointed, however after I finished my meal and was enjoying a nice bottle of plonk. One of the people that worked decided it was time at 8;30 to start clearing the cutlery away in a fashion that could only resemble a mic drop. As a man with very poor hearing and wearing a hearing that then makes your something of the starship enterprise I found this somewhat upsetting! I won't be back. Live long and prosper. Spock quite liked it though. J kirk

To be honest, I have had better. The Turkey meal was average and not very hot and the Christmas pudding was warm with cold custard, I had to get the waitress to put it in the microwave.

Another great lunch at Moran's. Really tasty food we all enjoyed. Service was very good as always. Tea and cake for dessert and big thanks to Nelson for getting my tea right and leaving the teabag out.

A fairly easy dining experience.

A fairly easy dining experience.
There is nothing remarkable about Moran s but it does enough stuff well to make it a good choice for a place to eat with the family.

Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable on the draft beers and special items anything they re not aware of they will find out for you.

I d say the staff personality was probably this places highlight.

Food was a bit hit & miss for our group.
Beer selection wasn t extensive but they had a few nice drafts.

Overall As typical for me I wouldn t shy away from returning here but I also wouldn t rush back.

I so appreciated the patience the staff took, when I needed to make a menu choice....I didn't have my reading glasses!..you can see it as a little thing or like me appreciate as THE thing that is missing in so many eateries....indeed with 'service' in general.

Don t complain to the waiter about having three small chunks of beef on a large plate of stroganoff ( or rice) as you will be ignored for the rest of the evening .
We actually went up to the desk to pay as the certainly had no intention of visiting our table ever again

Eaten twice here recently. Had a smoked mackerel pate with toast and homemade pickle which was delicious on the first occasion. And pork belly with lentils dish the second, generous portion had to give some to my friend.. well balanced flavours, and attentive staff to complete

O e of the best bars on bath road. Good selection of food and drinks. Nice little seating area out the front, always clean and tidy. My only gripe is with the men's toilets only having two cubicles and no urinal. Not the best use of space. The facility would better suit one of each.

The service was amazing, the starters & mains were exceptional, but sadly the moussy cake wasn't very moussy. All in all, fantastic value for beautiful food. I would definitely recommend it if you're in Cheltenham.

Really nice place to go for lunch. Accommodating for babies which was a major plus. Sat outside in the courtyard at the back which was great as it's a lovely sun trap! Had a fabulous lunch..where we didn't have to wait too long. Service was efficient and the staff were all really lovely.
Haven't been here in ages until now..so was great to see it is still just as good.

Interesting cafe/bar. Has a particular purpose and its popular. Staff are friendly and welcoming, it's well maintained and the decor has a modern cafe bar look to it. They serve delicious cakes, prices are reasonable. It's on montpellier Street so there are a lot of bars and restaurants nearby.

Have gone there to meet friends for lunch most Fridays since the early noughties - consistently good food (the best soup in Cheltenham), warm and friendly service and smart but relaxed surroundings. Like the Montpellier Wine Bar and The Retreat, Moran's is one of those places in Cheltenham that has discovered the formula for success and is nearly always full. Btw the gluten-free chocolate and hazelnut cake is incredible!

We had a full English and vegetarian breakfasts. Loved both. I'm sure you could get cheaper elsewhere, but we thought this was well worth it. Staff were helpful and friendly. We will definitely be returning. Even managed to grab one of their "famous" cinnamon buns.

Never disappoints. Great Bistro, good food selection, great cake selection, soft drinks, hot drinks, ales, beers, and lagers, as well as good wines and large selection of spirits, all sprinkled with great atmosphere and an eclectic population

The once did great coffee here about 3 years ago. That is no longer the case, comparing g their lattes to one made with dehydrated, freeze dried coffee. The cakes have always been their winning item but recency find their food to be average to the point that I become bored of eating it half way through. I'm not sure what has happened to Morans over the last couple of years but I hope the can one day recover. One thing I have noticed is that the friendly staff they once had that would remember your order and engage in conversation with you, have now gone. I recommend morans taste their own coffee then go to a coffee shop like The green machine or the scandinavian coffeepod to see how much work they need to put into their own coffee making skills.

18th birthday dinner, very nice scotch egg starter followed by pheasant red cabbage and potatoes for the main which was very nice. Pudding was a cappuccino cheesecake which was nice but more like a moose in consistency.
Good staff, modern surroundings, a very nice evening

Went for an after-work drink. Very dingy inside, and there was nothing on the menu that inspired me to eat. On the plus side, there is easy and cheap parking very close - use the Bath Road shoppers car park; it's free after 6pm.
