Filthy place with strange smell. No air con and the place is tatty, needs a refurb badly, very over priced even the internet is rubbish cutting in and out all the time. The room I was in had a dirty foot print on a "clean" bed. Not to mention the mass of cobwebs in the windows.If you pass through here just keep going.
Disgusting place.
Bedrooms really small with a tiny window and a small fan attached to the wall. Only two lockers for four beds (at East in my room)
The showers are terrible.
Every common space closes at 930 so good luck of you have to eat after that.
No power sockets in beds
Internet works ok, lots of parking spots nearby.
This hostel could be ok if the week cost 130$ (or less) but it cost 200$ which is a scam when you take in consideration the cleanliness, the fournitures condition, the size of the room ... The housekeeping is made maybe 1 time per week or every 2 weeks. I have massive bites on each part of my body while i was sleeping in the room 507, maybe bed bugs ? I don't really know.
This is the only backpack in the area so they take profit of it. If I only put 1 star that's because the price is abusive for backpackers who wants to work in this area, I don't recommand it even if the people who's living there are lovely.
Thank you so much to the wonderful staff for the best stay! The staff were beyond friendly and treated me like family. Despite only staying one night, the manager gave me a dorm all to myself to make sure I felt comfortable. The hostel has an awesome atmosphere, it s a great place to connect with other backpackers. One of the best hostels I ve stayed at!

Great place to get your visa requirements done! Near the beach, hiking, and town. Joe s a legend with helping you get work, would definitely recommend :)
Expensive hostel, 190 for the week and 30 bucks a night... normal; it s one of the only hostel in the region from Brisbane to Noosa.
Never cleaned, backpackers have to clean for themselves the common area they share by floor.., so sometimes it can look clean. Head s shower broken on some floors, with shower curtain in tissue being soaked up at each shower. They do not pick up used sheets after each stay, some beds are left like this for days... Proving btw that nobody is checking inside the room at any moment. A bit segregated by ethnicity depending on the floors also.. Limited parking spot even if there s a onsite parking, it s every night full as well as the street where s it s located. Flies in the kitchen are grilled just above the sink, fridges are clean tho.
Messy management, wouldn t recommend it.
I loved my time here. I would say it makes a great spot for a week. I spent 4 months here!
Nice clean rooms, with TV bathroom and coffee jug. Bring your own soap.
Terrible hostel didn't even bother paying the rent. Some amazing people here, just watch out for that angry manager. He likes choking backpackers (it's happened before)
