I have always considered myself a believer and thought that was good enough, but I was so wrong. I considered myself a Christian, but I was not a Christian. I used to despise goody-goody Christians and wanted to stay as far away as possible. I wanted nothing to do with Churches because I thought they were evil and hypocritical. What I did not realize is that my heart was not open and I was the hypocrite. I was ignorant and did not know that a Christian should not judge or hate its neighbor. I did not read the Bible for myself in order to understand it myself, but figured what I got from church the 1x per yr I attended was good enough. That I did my part. Wrong!

I never understood why my life was so empty and why I never felt satisfied. All the money, and all the designer clothes, and all the fancy dinners, trips, etc., felt good for that second, but when I got back to reality, my life was cold, empty, without purpose, and lonely. No matter what I had or how much I had, I wanted more and more because I thought that would make me happy. I was never happy. I was dragging my sins behind me and felt like I wanted to give up on life. It's been a while since I stepped foot into a church and it's not until 3 weeks ago that I became hungry for the word of God. I knew that I wanted and needed more. In order to receive all the blessings of what God is trying to tell us, we must open our hearts and accept him, otherwise what is the point? I decided to attend Moody Church one Sunday morning and I have to say that I was blown away. The message was strong, honest, and to the point. I felt as if the message was directed specifically for me. God, was speaking directly to me and told me to open my eyes because it was time. My perception completely changed the minute I open the Bible and started reading The New Testament. "Matthew"

Everyone is welcomed here and no one will feel out of place. Parking is a little tricky, so if you do not arrive early, you will have to search around a bit. May God bless Pastor Erwin Lutzer and his family, in the name of our Lord Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

I m visiting Chicago this weekend and needed a place for corporate worship on Sunday. This church was very close to my hotel and had solid Theology and belief on their website. So I went.
|| There is a famous story. A boy was biking and passing by this huge and beautiful church building. An old man happened to come out from it.
Boy: um, does God live in there?
Old man: I m not sure, kid. I m not sure.

The whole time I was in the Sunday service reminded me of this story over and over. I pray for genuine seeking and fear and passion and love of God upon these people.

I listen everyday running to win. I have problem sleeping at night, I find out that listening to pastor E. Lutzer relaxes me and fall asleep very fast. English is my second language, I love to have a Spanish bible with the same scripture. When I listen to pastor Lutzer I feel very closed to God. Wonderful pastor, God bless you and keep you healthy. Running to win/correr para ganar is my spiritual nurture. I love to live near your church, unfortunately, I live in the east coast. Thanks again for being my teacher here on earth. God Bless!

We visited Moody Church's evening service when visiting Chicago because it was close to our hotel. We enjoyed the diverse family & friends atmosphere. They serve coffee in the back before and after the service, and people were friendly without being overbearing (meaning, there were people who looked helpfully our way when we looked lost, but we were also able to slip out afterwards without fanfare to make it to a dinner appointment). The music and message were both inspiring and sound. It's wonderful being in the midst of a varied group of people all in one church.

The evening service doesn't meet in the big fancy old sanctuary, but in a smaller conference room in a newer section of the building.

I am so grateful to the Lord for guiding my husband and I to the Moody church. They preach solely the Word of God, which has totally transformed our souls and lives. We now have had the privilege to serve in the ministries at Moody, wow they are amazing and just want to serve others and teach them the Word! Our Lord has surely blessed this city with amazingly faithful pastors who speak the Truth, glorify and love Jesus. I love Moody and consider it our home here. I cannot wait to see what the Lord God will continue to do at, in, and around Moody!

About Moody Church

The Moody Church: A Place to Explore God and Connect with Others

The Moody Church is a non-denominational Christian church located in the heart of Chicago, at the intersection of Lincoln Park and Old Town. The church has been serving the community for over 150 years, providing a welcoming environment for people to explore their faith and connect with others.

At The Moody Church, we believe that everyone is welcome, regardless of their background or beliefs. Our mission is to help people grow in their relationship with God through worship, teaching, fellowship, and service. We offer a variety of programs throughout the week that cater to different age groups and interests.

Sunday Services

Our Sunday services are the cornerstone of our ministry at The Moody Church. We offer two services every Sunday morning at 9:00 am and 10:30 am. Our services are designed to be engaging and relevant to today's world while staying true to biblical teachings.

During our services, you can expect dynamic worship led by our talented musicians followed by an inspiring message from one of our pastors or guest speakers. We also provide childcare for infants through fifth grade during both services so parents can fully engage in worship without any distractions.

Weekday Programs

In addition to our Sunday services, we offer various weekday programs that cater to different age groups and interests. These programs include Bible studies, prayer meetings, youth groups, women's ministries, men's ministries as well as outreach programs aimed at serving those in need within our community.

Our weekday programs provide an opportunity for individuals to connect with others who share similar interests while growing in their faith journey together.

Community Outreach

At The Moody Church we believe it is important not only to serve those within our congregation but also those outside it who may be struggling or facing difficult times. That's why we have several outreach initiatives aimed at helping those in need within our community.

One such initiative is "Moody Cares," which provides practical assistance such as food pantries or financial assistance for families facing hardship due illness or job loss etc.. Another initiative called "Moody Missions" focuses on supporting missionaries around the world who are spreading God's love through evangelism efforts etc..

Conclusion

In conclusion ,The Moody Church offers a welcoming environment where individuals can explore their faith journey while connecting with others who share similar beliefs . With its diverse range of programming options including Sunday Services , Weekday Programs , Community Outreach initiatives etc., there truly is something for everyone here!
