Good menu selections, great food and service, reasonable prices

One of my fav locations for delicious american food. You will not be disappointed in the menu and service. The staff was very welcoming and sociable. The place has an awesome atmosphere. Food is like a place in Baltimore I loved.

My go-to restaurant in port orange. The food is consistently good, and the waitstaff and management are attentive and friendly. Ive had the steak trio many times. It includes a steak and two sides for under $10.00, which is amazing considering how good it is. The steak is flavorful and tender, and the Parmesan mashed potatoes and market vegetables are out of sight delicious. I've also had the salmon trio, shrimp with angel hair pasta and a large dinner salad....all equally good.

Service is ALWAYS outstanding. Very is great, but their Peach White wine Sangria is awesome. Perfect place for Brunch.

Their menu is very nice a good variety. Unfortunately on at least 2 of our 4 dinners the meals were barely warm. To eat a vegetable medley of squash and broccoli that is not hot or mashed potatoes just barely warm was not enjoyable

Stopped in for a quick meal. Portions were huge but food was good. We sat at the bar 03/01 and the bartender was so friendly and accommodating! Didn t get his name, but We loved him !

Salads are excellent. Service is great. Would like to try their breakfast meals someday. Parking can get a little crowded.

Terrific place to grab brunch or lunch for an informal business meeting. The fried zucchini is fresh cut and hand-battered in house and not to be missed.

Justin did a great job taking care of us. Had the spinach salad, crab cakes trio (extra crab cake), and rib eye. My son got the corn dog kids meal which was on kids eat free day. Great portions and care in food.

Emily rose said this was the best and most delicious restaurant ever, and she was right! Best food and service I recommend eating here !

food was amazing, had a server named Dom. He was super nice and really on top of it. it was a bit busy when we got in but we never felt rushed or had slow service. He was fast, polite and pretty funny. Would go back for service alone.

Good food and service. Menu could be enlarged. However, it is a small restaurant. Once I ordered fish that turned out too spicy. Management noticed me picking at my fish and replaced it. The food offerings they have are very good.

If visiting during busy times call couple hours ahead for reservation or you will wait FOREVER. Staff tries as hard as can to keep everyone "happy", and for most part, they succeed.

Not the greatest service, the male bar tender was friendly. Food was not that good, I was never checked on to see if I was ok with the meal nor she did not even notice that I didn't eat my food to see if everything was ok.

The food wasn't really that great. Not a lot of good vegetarian options either. It's decent.

The food deserves 5 stars, everything is delicious! We go to a lot of places but this one doesn't ever let us down. It's a great service environment. I wish they had a bigger location to make it more personal. If you sit in the back it seams rather crowded. Anyways great service and good prices, especially if you realize that the cooks quality is amazing !

I enjoyed one of their omelets. I am not an omelet person but that was fantastic. The service and food was impeccable and the prices are great. I did not know they served breakfast but they do and they start at 8am.

Food was very cold no flavor, and they only have beer and wine for alcohol I witnessed a waitress drop salt and pepper shakers for the table on the floor...no cleaning just put them on the table after dropping...worst experience at a restaurant since covid 19 ever

When this place first opened the concept was California Casual. A limited menu of healthy choices using fresh ingredients.

Even though the ownership has changed hands, the restaurant has remained true to its original vision.

Comfortable and clean environment with good menu choices.

The food was amazing, I love going there with friends and having a good time. Emily Rose was our server and she was GREAT! Her jokes are funny, she keeps conversation, and makes me feel like the experience is worth it every time. She is bomb and keeps me coming back for more good food!

Went to the Grill earlier this week with the family and can I say wow, what a phenomenal experience. The food there was on another level compared to some of the spots in the port orange area. We had Dominick as a server and he was great, 10/10 rating for him and 10/10 for the food. Will definitely be coming back here soon!

Great little breakfast. Not crowded, got seated quickly and the server was very friendly.

We had a great meal. Our server, Dominick, did a fantastic job. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. He kept our beverages refilled without asking. When we return we will definitely ask for him.

Our waiter Chase was Awesome & cute at the same time..oh yeah the food was good as well..that hot bacon dressing was delicious!!

Just got done eating here. Something has changed. It seemed like the boss was away or something. The hostess had very little enthusiasm. She was very sloppily dressed. It seemed as if we were a bother to seat us. No greeting just how many are you. She grabbed 2 menus and took off. We just stood there and when she turned around at a table we followed. Our waiter brought our food and that was the last we saw of him until we were finished.

I have been there twice. Once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both times were a good experience. Great food....great service!

Went to Monterey Grill this evening and had the Monterey Burger and have to say it's one of the better burgers I've had in a long time, and I eat a lot of burgers. The service was fast and friendly. Our server checked in on us just the right amount of times and made sure everything was going well. Top notch restaurant, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

I can't speak of the whole menu or evening staff, but it came for breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was a poor experience. I got the steak and mushrooms eggs Benedict, and my significant other got the regular eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise sauce was extremely bland, as if it were only egg yolk without any vinegar or salt, and for some reason they used a hamburger bun rather than an English muffin, and the steak had no seasoning in the seared edges. I had to use half a bottle of cholula to make it palatable. I believe the owner ought to sit down with the menu, and try it out again. The chef might need to up his game. My water glass was also empty for the majority of the meal.

****Update: I did receive a response on here that was a copy and paste response that every other low star received. I did contact the manager and he did address my specific issue, however he did not offer any way to fix my situation besides telling me to come in and give them a second chance. After the first experience, and through word of mouth, neither myself nor anyone who ask me about Monterey Grill will come there.

Recently had a birthday party catered by Monterey Grill for 32 people. It was outstanding. Tom provided everything we needed, even ice!! We had 3 entrees and 2 salads and dinner rolls. All were very tasty and enjoyed by all. I highly recommend them for your next party. You will not be disappointed.
