Always good. Best breakfast from Ormond to New Smyrna. In 14 yrs, never had a poor meal.

We went for breakfast...the choices were many...I had a spinach, mushroom, cheese omelet with fruit cup and mini carrot cake muffins... could not finish omelet it was so big...

One of our favorite go-to local eateries. Varied menu at reasonable prices. Service always is attentive and efficient. Group of 10 at Sunday brunch was very pleased.

Ordered the 12oz steak because they didn't have the 8oz. No biggie. Requested it cooked Medium, the steak was RAW. Sent it back, they seared the part cut open, didn't even heat the other sides. It was still RAW. Not rare, RAW! It's only because the chicken and fries were good that I gave it 2 stars We also had a toddler and requested a booster seat, but never received 1.

Food and services are great. Surely we are coming back.

My grandfather eats here 4 times a week, probably more. I have been twice personally and it was fantastic both times. Try the fried Zucchini, it's excellent!

This once was our favorite restaurant and then the service and food started to slide. We stopped going for a while but tried it again, and it appears they are making a comeback.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, my server Anthony was very attentive and knowledgeable of all the meals and specials offered. 10 outta 10 would recommend for any kind of occasion.

Love the zucchini appetizer, crab cakes and the carrot cake muffins with cream cheese. Everything is always so fresh along with tasting so good.

Service (especially server Matt Green) was fantastic and the old continues to be great. I recommend the salmon.

I eat at Monterey weekly and I have a very large family. The staff is very patient with the large party and takes the extra step to make sure we are taken care of.The food is great and we are never disappointed.

Was not impressed. The breakfast potatoes on BOTH ORDERS WERE WELL OVER DONE. THE CHOCOLATE MILK WAS TAN LOOKING MILK. I ASK FOR MORE CHOCOLATE IN THE MILK AND THEY SAID IT WAS PRE MIXED AND COULD NOT BE CHANGED , PLUS THE STRAW WAS SHORTER THAN THE BOTTOM OF THE GLASS. THE CARROT MINI MUFFINS WERE VERY DRY .
THE Crescent sandwich was toasted on top but the bottom was all , soggy .

IT WAS VERY SLOW IN THERE , WE CAN SEE WHY..PROBABLY NOT TOO MANY RETURN CUSTOMERS.

Used to come here a lot back when the owners opened a second store Malibu. Haven't been here in quite sometime. Having not been here for awhile gives quick clarity that the restaurant , service or food are not what it once was. The details of my review I 'll keep to myself but not likely to be back or recommend it .

The good is consistently good, the staff always friendly and knowledgeable. Generally quiet environment.

I'm writing this not because of the actual store experience but the level of attention I was given the day after during a phone call. I spent hundreds of dollars there eating with my group and misplaced my Visa card. I called today and talked to "Nathan" and asked if he could just glance real quick and see if my Visa card may be there from the other night. He rudely says, "No it's not in there, but we have a stack of 50 cards and I'm not going to take the time just to try and find your card." I asked politely, I spent lots of money there and just want someone to check for my card. "No sir, I will not look." Hangs up. The food and service while at the restaurant was good but this employees attitude ruined any chance of me coming or sending anyone there.

Always great service and food is so consistently wonderful. Tastes like it is made with love. I don't really like eating out and this place always impresses me.

was very disappointed asked for my crab cakes to be crispy they came barely warm and very greasy and not crispy my husband ordered fried haddick was exempting fresh haddick and he got frozen we grew up in New England and know the difference. will not be going there again soon

Love this place! I come here every once and a while when I visit Daytona beach. I had Julia as my server last time and she was fantastic! Food turned out great and I ll be back again when I visit! Thanks again Julia!!

Came in a few weeks ago and got a steak. The steak was cooked well however it seemed as the quality of the steak wasnt all that great. Mashed potatoes were okay. The service is well. In my opinion from my experience is that Monterey grill is not quite on the same page as similar restaurants in the area.

So I love this place for breakfast. I had previously rated this a 3, but they stepped it up to great. Everything is fresh. Cooked perfectly. Service is wonderful. They will accommodate for dietary preferences. I will always come here when I am on vacation.

Dinner or lunch is always a treat at Monterey Grill! Lots of delicious choices on the menu to choose from! Food is so delicious and very fresh. Great employees like Dominick Provenzano make it a very positive experience every time!

Monterey Grill is the BEST! Consistently great tasting food with a 5 star waitstaff. You won't be disappointed.

Love the Monterey salad but get with grilled chicken, it's the bomb!

The food was good and the prices were reasonable. They have a wide variety of menu choices. The peach and berry sangria were very good too! We want to try the brunch and hopefully it will be as good as the dinner!

Beautiful place. Stopped im on my way home to PA, my server Emily was a doll, sweet as can b. Food was delicious. Wonderful all around.

Great place with a unique menu. The food is always so good! Nice casual and relaxing atmosphere. Great lunch spot. The staff was so nice and patient as well. I asked about how something was prepared so our server went to ask the chef for me. I really appreciated that extra effort.

We visited this restaurant twice during our recent stay in the area. The first time was on a whim, and the second time was because our first visit was so good! We're not positive but this seems like more of a locals place and not so much about the tourists. It's a breakfast and lunch spot, serving brunch until 3pm each day, for you late sleepers... and the brunch is very good. We can recommend the steak & eggs benedict, the coconut shrimp and the chicken tenders. Usually chicken tenders are kind of a "whatever" item on menus but these are actually extremely good.

If you like dessert, do yourself a favor and get a slice of the carrot cake. Even if you're not a fan of carrot cake - this stuff is excellent! It has a dense texture with a unique cream cheese icing that is really rich and absolutely delicious. Save some room and get the full slice.

Both of our servers were wonderful and did a great job with call backs and making sure we were happy. If you are visiting the area of if you live here and haven't stopped by to check it out, make sure you do. The food and service are great.

My eggs were delicious. Servers were very attentive, bur service time was slowerr than anticipatedwith regard to the large number of tables unoccupied.

Delicious food, great service, and a comfortable environment

I had lunch with my mom yesterday. The food was delicious and Johanna s service was outstanding. I ordered vegetables as my side and even though I thought they were fine, the staff did not feel as though my vegetables were adequate. They brought a new plate of vegetables to the table! It s clear they care about the quality of their establishment. I highly recommend!

This place has not let us down. We have been coming here for 3 years and every visit has been a pleasure. The food is flavorful and the staff is awesome. Highly recommend for everyone. Enjoy.

Good food, but portions seemed small, priced accordingly though.

Reasonably priced food. I had the sirloin steak, it was great. I never needed A1 sauce, the mozzarella sticks were good. The staff was friendly, they have a variety of different foods.

My food was delicious and our server was good, but I can't give the 5th star because we had to sit at 2 booths since a party was coming in and had the entire back room reserved.

Monterey Grill has been our 'go to' restaurant since it opened. (At least twice a month). Our visit this week was not an enjoyable one at all. We have never had to wait more than 10 minutes after giving the server our order. This time it was at least 30 minutes. Yes they were busy, but that should not be an excuse as they are usually always busy. The restaurant itself used to always be spotless (Tables, floor, seats, windows, blinds etc...) We had to wipe off the seats before sitting, blinds & windowsills were extremely dirty & dusty. Most of the meal was not par for course. Grilled chicken dinner; chicken was rubberey & tough, cooked broccoli was raw. 6 coconut shrimp dinner came with just 5, fresh fruit salad used to be 6 or 7 variations of delicious FRESH fruit. I had hard cantalope , hard honeydew & chewy grapes! Hard, meaning I could not get a fork into them. The strangest part of the whole visit was the acting manager came by & we told him exactly what happened. He listened, appoligized & merely stated the 'he has 2 new cooks back there'. No offer of comping any of the bill, no offer of a free dessert drink or whatever. This was after we explained how long & how many times we eat there. Incredibly, that didn't seem to matter to him at all ! One star only, they need to realize there are hundreds of other restaurants in the area!!

I must pay a compliment to a wonderful staff member. Mallory went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable experience. This was our first trip to the Daytona area and because of her service, we will definitely be back.

I wanted vegetables a healthy meal! I got exactly what I wanted here very healthy tasty meal! My girlfriend got a salad we shared, both meals were excellent!

Wonderful breakfast menu. The omelet was perfect and the breakfast potatoes amazing. The staff was very friendly with a clean relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend to anyone in the area
