Excellent resort, exceptional course, ideal weather for the season

The most beautiful golf of Portugal. Everything is TOP: home, practice, course, after golf. I went there between Christmas and New Year and the price was 150 with golfette + GPS. Otherwise the price of 220 remains excessive even if a large number of holes are Signature holes. I'm going back in March.

Beautiful location with stunning views, great bar, restaurant and terrace with panoramic views. Good food and service. Off the beaten track but worth a visit, it s the No.1 Golf Course in Portugal.

Played here 3 weeks. This is an amazing course, the best presented course that I have played in Portugal and that includes Victoria in Vilamoura. Jack Nicklaus design. 2nd course being built presently and a Hotel to follow.
Not cheap, special occasion or with my group an annual visit. Book on line for best deal and play from 3pm.

The fairways are overgrown with weeds!
We also expect better on the greens side. ..
In short, the drawing is very chalenging, but it is not worth 220 in this condition

Very nice course! Very well looked after by staff at course! Driving range! Chipping and putting greens its all there! Can't ask for more as a guest group!

Although very expensive green fee, but great place. The marshal was at least on our day unfortunately a little undifferentiated or at least got up with the wrong leg. Greens are a challenge!

It may be a bit pricey (in January 130 euros for 18 holes), but for that you get a job in absolute top condition, an enthusiastic and involved staff, driving range with all the trimmings, and a (mandatory) buggy with course information. An absolute must.

By far the best GC and Cours I have played only Augusta National mus better. Service, Ambiance, and Personal Top level. A mus for every golfer !!!

Golfcourse No. 1 in Portugal. We got a car service from the Monte Rei Golf Club. After arrival at the club, our equipment was stored on the golf carts. We got some time for restroom and could directly drive to the driving range. The driving range is the only topic that is just average, it is very sandy....the course itself is awesome. There are no really easy holes. Whether the way to the green is difficult or the green itself. Greenfee is about 170 Euro

I would say the club itself remarkable, very good Range, interesting course. But there is a big but! We played in February, when the administration prohibited the exit to fairways, we just went along the paths and so, when we of runs right to the fairway to played our balls, money has been stolen from our vallets, that was situated deep inside our bags. All together 270 , 100 euro from my partner, he is a pro, and 170 from my vallet. At the evening of the same day we got information, that another one player lost 800 euros on this course in same sitution. When we talk to manager, he started to apologize, but his assistant began to say that it was necessary to value left in the locker. Pretty much strange situation, security around zero. I never recommend any one to play this course

As a golfer of 40 yrs plus, I have been lucky enough to play some great tracks, this is in my top 3. Big Jack designed it and it is challenging with a sense of tightness to it too. Every hole has something special . The service is second to none. Practice area is sublime. It is expensive, but a one off will not be enough. Treat yourself. The villas on site are fabulous.

It is located in an elevated area, excellent place to play golf. In a quiet and reserved place. High quality resort.

Very nice course, with some confirmations and spectacular scenery.

Spectacular in every way. The site is simply delicious. Your best golf course I've ever seen.

And the restaurant, creative haute cuisine with the natural products of the Algarve, and the tasting menu "Ocean Promenade" a parade of flavors and textures difficult to overcome.

And the staff, very friendly, attentive and charming.

No wonder it was voted the best golf course in Portugal. Excellent in all departments from the reception to departure, we were looked after in style. The golf is fantastic fairways and greens in great condition it is tough but fair, I am a mid handicap (18) and found it quite long and some of the fairways are slightly intimidating, but that is why we play .
A must if you are in this part of the world.

Great job. Before we went golfing, we enjoyed a delicious lunch. Excellent service, attentive and very friendly. Reception on the job super. We were four and started at 3:36 PM. At 7:30 PM the Marshal came to tell us in a very blunt way that we were going way too slow and we had to hurry up because all the other players had been in for a long time. We had a gigantic rain shower after hole 3 and had to hide, this also explained but that didn't help. We were barked like a bunch of dogs. In the end we took 4.5 hours. A difficult job that we played for the 1st time. The only players we saw that day were 2 young boys who played red and we let them go after the rain. We approached the marshall on his treatment, but he was not impressed. A shame because it really put a damper on our game and the memory of this day.

Golf facilities are superb, service is also top class

A fantastic course. Excellent definition to the holes. Greens are quick and a pleasure to put on. Bunkers tees and fairways maintained to a very high standard. Club shop and practice facilities are top notch. It is well worth getting there early to use them. The staff are excellent. My advice -play the twilight option as it is costly. You need to use buggies. Arrive early. Food is qood, a couple of Euros more than average but, nice setting. Club house excellent. Free bag tag, ball marker and pitch marker is a nice touch. Shop expensive but sells high end products. One for the bucket list. !

Challenging golf course. Very good service from driving range to tee. Villas are excellent, great location, everything imaginable in terms of equipment. 5 stars +

Great place with great service. From the arrival to the club sandwich really everything perfect. A nice welcome at the reception, then the bag is brought to the buggy while you get a brief briefing on the local conditions. Personal escort service to the Range, which is also in excellent condition. Then you are escorted to the tee and supplied with tea's, fruits, birdybook and water. The course is a league apart. There can be no place in Vilamour. At hole 18 you get a small souvenir with engraved name before the staff cleans the thugs and brings them to the car. The club sandwich at hole 19, the grill, is also outstanding. All in all worth and a clear recommendation!

Outstanding Jack Nicklaus designed course in some of the most challenging topography. Great service, as you'd expect from such a high class venue. Tee times every 15 minutes so there's always a feeling of space on the golf course. Several nice touches including named bag tags at the end of each round.

Excellent reception. Functional and tasteful sober decoration. Interiors and exteriors very well maintained. I appreciated the choice of cork oak in the streets. Congratulations.
