Outrageously high prices. There are markets in Gresham and downtown Portland much cheaper than this. Be wary.
The whole idea in my opinion around farmers market is getting fresh produce at a reasonable price supporting local business.
This market has vendors that are charging double what a grocery store would charge. At one point one vendor charges five dollars per tomato.

Nice variety of vendors! Having staff at the entrance ensuring that too many people don't come in at once and that they are all wearing masks helped provide a safe setting for shoppers and vendors. Always enjoy coming here!

Lots of kid friendly activities. Farm fresh produce, but a little over priced. A couple great outdoor food stations for lunch but there were long lines. Food was good so it was worth the wait. Bring cash, not all vendors take cards.

A great farmers market - small but has everything you need. Again, this market isn't huge but its very convenient, can find parking without an issue, and there aren't big crowds. Each week I either go to this or the Hollywood market depending what (Saturday or Sunday).

I had hanger steak and vegetables for breakfast! Nonesuch recipe. It was excellent, cooked to Perfection, and the coffee was good too! I bought honey, ashwagandha, nut Butters, vegan cheesecake, and great veggies. A good time was had by all!

Lots of fresh produce! Plus sometimes Stillweather Spirits is there, they have the most amazing gin! We never thought we would but gin from a farmers market, but the sales people are so friendly we gave it a try and now we are hooked!

The selection here is excellent, the farmers are personable and hard working, as are the other vendors. I love vegan mole tacos and nectars coffee. The market is also well organized and spacious.

Good market. The only thing I would change is to get an ATM installed in the space - they had a system to withdraw from debit and get these wooden coins that are only usable at the market. It was a workaround, but I'd have preferred an ATM...

My favorite farmers market in town. There are great options and one of my favorites is a guy selling Bliss butter...you should try the coconut almond butter with sea salt...delicious. And during the summer months they have great options for produce.

Four words: Henry Higgin's Boiled Bagels. That is the only reason needed to go to Montavilla Farmers Market. Delicious. There is a varied assortment of farms represented here, and during the fall, one of the most extensive supplies of different kinds of apples that I have ever seen. So many kinds I had never heard of, and they offer samples. The usual, year round vendors are great. Most notable (aside from HH Bagels) are the African cuisine, the mushroom vendor, the honey vendor (always delicious meadowfoam in stock), and at least two farms that routinely have high quality pie pumpkins during the fall season. As of last year (2017) this Farmers Market still participated in the SNAP match program, but only partially.

They handled the socially distanced market well. There was a line to get in, but it moved quick enough. The selection once inside was good. We liked the BBQ sauce place a lot--super friendly person running it. Happy it's closeby.

Love this Farmer's Market! I buy berries almost every week! There is also a gluten free bakery booth which I love! The booths are spread out and people attempt to adhere to COVID restrictions. All of the booth take card. I would recommend bringing your own basket or bag

Went to this market for the first time today. It was really hot outside but still fairly busy. There were not any long lines. There are many different vendors with a good variety of vegetables, fruits/berries, meats, cheeses, flowers, bagels, and more. There was also a little mister in one corner which was very unexpected but a nice way to beat the heat.

They're not the biggest farmer's market in Portland, but still pretty sizable. Lots of great local farmers have stands here, as well as others who sell different specialty items. As there is no health food store in this part of Portland (the Montavilla neighborhood), this place is a god send for those of us who live in the area. Otherwise, we'd have to drive a lot further to get good organic produce. One nice thing about this farmer's market is that they non-profit who runs it does a fund raiser every year, to make fresh fruits and vegetables available to people who depend on food stamps, and otherwise couldn't afford them.

Maps stated it as open but very closed! Nothing!

For out of towners that's a huge waste of time. The sign at the market spot clearly states May 5th add opening date. Google Maps and ther city need to fact check their information.

Live music, friendly people, fresh food. What's not to love? Some items were a little expensive but that should be expected when youre buying locally produced products. All in all my kids and i really enjoyed it and plan on going back next weekend.
