Suprised how much you get for the membership . The gym is surprisingly well maintained and clean , all machines work great . There is an older crowd here but they are all very pleasant . The employees here are super cool and friendly .

Terrible. Kids from Jamesburg that attend the highschool and that are on the school team cant even practice there because there not a resident in monroe. Monroe and jamesburg are almost the same thing and they share the same park and highschool. Terrible service

Very nice facilities at Monroe Community Center. Well kept and well run. If you live in Monroe, you should be very proud of this facility.

Plenty of activities for everyone, very modest fees.
Take advantage of them.

The community center was very nice! The room we were in for the charity event was perfect.

Great rec center! Modern facilities, classes and workout room. Not many towns in the area have this. Only reason giving 4 stars is gyms are booked most of the time but can find some open space if you call ahead.

Johannesburg residents are barred.

I've heard the reason is Jamesburg voted against involvement due to the associated tax increase. This sounds suspect.

In any case, there appears to be socio-economic drivers fueling the Jamesburg monroe division.

I would advise against moving to Jamesburg. And the same for Monroe unless you are okay with modern-day segregation.

Nice clean facility although the pickleball courts need a lot of work on the left due to poor lighting in surface conditions. Staff is excellent and very helpful and are always bright and cheery

Dissatisfied completely. Seems that the "community" center is not available to the community! Seems the supposed open gyms are never open due to either cheer or the renting out of space. R u kidding Me? Already paid using tax $ then we are supposed to pay additional to join? Very sad this is supposed to be a place to keep our kids out of trouble nd cant use

Very nice facility. Clean. Love watching the kids games here. Bleacher seating. Clean bathrooms.

Attended their Fall Festival, was lots of fun. Great vendors and the library truck was great

I love to go to the gym. Everyone is friendly the staff is excellent

For residents of Monroe this is a great place for physical activities. Large basketball court, a medium size gym with treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, weight equipment. All for a $10 a year registration fee.

They hold an annual Easter egg hunt for kids ages 4 through 9. It is free and welcome to all. It is a lot of fun for them and is well organized. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

2 basketball gyms, one weight room and many vending machines! What more can you ask for!

Had the best time just walking around the rec center area sitting inside the fire engine talking to all the nice people tasting food from the food trucks and enjoying the beautiful weather over Columbus Day weekend

Great treadmills and ellipticals.

Went for a dance performance. Ambience of place was good. The auditorium was nicely decorated. Sound effects we're good. Pretty clean & well maintained.

Great place for Monroe residents. Clean facilities and enjoyable for all ages!
