Always the best. I brought in my tea mug and asked them to microwave it for a mug of tea. And they did it just like I lived here. Friendly staff. Best book store around and high quality local art work too.

Great people with dedicated interns from diverse fields related to ecology. Incredibly rich resources. Essential books and maps. We keep going back every year for almost 30 years, to explore the lake, do our bit to save it, and educate our family and friends about the significance in and of itself of this area. Check it and center out!

Wonderful info center for Mono Lake. Find out about its ecology, geology and about the water politics of California. It's also a book shop and a shop of very tasteful gifts. And staffed by knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Mono lake is an invaluable part of the north south American by way for migratory birds, close to being completely destroyed by LA's thirst. But an agreement was made in 1994 that gave the lake some hope of stabilization and possible future restoration.

Great spot for any info on the 395 area! Very friendly and helpful people inside. Wide variety of books, souvenirs, and maps available too. Open a lot later than the visitors centers run by the government as well so that's nice. Stop by for free water and wifi as well!

Small but impressive gift shop and information center. They also have a great selection of books, covering mostly nature, discoveries, and exploration. John Muir, Jack London, and many more can be found here. When you come along the way, stop here to get some food for your brain. Keep up the great work!

What a great resource for the area. Informative displays and tons of great books (see Conifers of California).

The young woman providing information was also very pleasant and so helpful. This place is every bit as good as a ranger station / visitor center but without the huge crowds!

Mono Lake Kayak Rentals is just across the street from the Tioga Lodge. Super friendly proprietor Tom made sure we were hooked up with the right gear, knew where to go to get the goods, and was very helpful with everything.
