Beautiful place and rich history. Go there when artisans are present
Always as beautiful surprising exhibitions of contemporary art
a beautiful museum to visit with family preferably and great guides
Very good animator who knows how to make interesting all the little stories related to the currency.
Magnificent space. Beautiful exhibitions. A calm, elegant, confidential and elitist exhibition space. Few tourists.
Nice place. We took a look at the museum shop. Very beautiful pieces to observe.
We visited the Paris Coin Museum on Heritage Day! A pleasant visit, we could enjoy a wonderful place! We were able to hit a small souvenir room that offered us.
I like ! I recommend you to visit
Surprising and disturbing exhibition by Maurizio Cattelan. There are few rooms but we are surprised, we have fun, we worry. The case of the Parisian currency perfectly accommodates these modern works, even adding contrast and matter. It was short and efficient!
Treasure hunt was top. Too bad to have had a magnet instead of a piece when one is a collector.
Beautiful place to visit where we discover the manufacture of coins but also decorations of the military and other distinguished people.
If you have time, this Museum it is very interesting!
We are talking about the Monnaie de Paris shop here, not the museum ..
Obviously it is a perfect place for all collectors, you will find your room necessarily, unless it's been a while since it was released, the service is effective but not necessarily polite or very warm. One is wary when you ask to look at a room closely (even for a value of 10 ), otherwise it is a nice place.
Beautiful very clean Museum with very friendly guides
We learned a lot about the history of money and its manufacture. Nice place.
Beautiful building where you can visit the museum, see temporary exhibitions in the public areas and have a meal at Guy SAVOIE
Very nice monument visited on the occasion ofJDP, I highly recommend to take a tour
Participating in an "escape game" where thieves steal the museum, in truth it is you the visitor who you are ripped off by a bad game all the way for an exorbitant price. 4 games worthy of a word arrow, 2300 euros pocketed in one hour, short break of the century.
Disappointed by the guided tour (Saturday 11h)
Tickets purchased in advance on the Internet for the guided tour of 11am but the doors of the museum rue de Conti open at 11am
We head straight for the museum. We are waiting for the start of the guided tour ... finally we are told that the guide has started ..... we come back for bad information ... in short, not to the point and we missed part of the visit then that we were there and that we were made to wait.
The staff who works the rooms and absent on Saturday ... Very pity
The guide is not French .... we are in France ... pity
In summary, a very nice museum to do in the week and independently ... because the museum itself is very well done in a beautiful setting
Disappointed to have chosen the tour and Saturday
Superb museum of the history of coins and techniques.
A beautiful place and an expo Perry grayson that fits perfectly. Bravo
Cool expositions, less crowded than lots of museum in Paris
A place of contemporary art to discover that offers in addition to magnificent views of the Seine and Paris.
It's without a doubt one of the best restaurants in the world
The excellence and virtuosity of Guy Savoy and his entire team make this establishment an absolutely unique place
This is a 3 star for the majestic place
It is a 3 stars for services
It is a 3 stars for its sublime cellar
It's a 3 star for Guy Savoy's refined elegant inventive cuisine generous
It's simply pure art
If only once in your life offer you this "Royal Gifts"!
Very interesting to see and visit. Designed to interest the visitor. Clean and quiet place, we come out delighted.
Excellent Maurizio Catellan exhibition. Beautiful space, unusual setting. The delicate attention of a dedicated booklet for the kids can't hide the fact that some of the works can be troubling for a young public.
First visited the bar for an early coffee. Clearly too early because even the requested espresso was not hot. So not recommended, the exhibition wing is a must with interesting temporary exhibition!
An educational walk to understand the technical aspect of the currency
Museum very interesting and informative. Opens at 11:00. It must be possible to see the artisans working but it must not be too early (as was my case). A good experience, to renew on occasion. The shop allows to buy the coins, medals and sculptures made in the workshops. There is something for every price.
Beautiful heritage, beautiful job of rehabilitation Bravo
Great exhibition. Magnificent buildings. That happiness
A very interesting visit, the staff explain with passion and pedagogy their job
I am a numismatist in my spare time, but the Paris coin shop has not thrilled me. The parts are more expensive than in some specialized magazines. I left fairly quickly when I planned to stay there for a while.
The rooms for the temporary exhibitions are impressive. I saw a very beautiful exhibition of the Indian artist Subodh Gupta (until August 26, 2018!). An entry a little expensive (14 ).
La Monnaie de Paris is the French national monetary institution. A public institution with an industrial and commercial character since 2007, it carries out its mission of manufacturing the French national currency in More
I liked this museum and especially the testimonials of employees.
A very beautiful place to visit. The guide was very kind and explained really well. However, the front door is poorly indicated.
The visit is fairly quick and will appeal to lovers of metals and engraving, in particular thanks to a modern museography and the possibility of seeing founders and sculptors at work.
Staff at the shop super nice very welcome. Go for a ride I recommend!
I went there during the European Heritage Days. I recommend the visit!
Very nice museum. Recently renovated, little known but unavoidable and very rich in pieces and information. Bravo
Museum very complete, interesting enough fun there is no crowd in this month of July which is amazing but I recommend
The currency of Paris offers a lot of exhibitions throughout the year, relatively interesting.
The guides are competent and attentive.
However we regret the price a little expensive and the number of rooms a little restricted
A museum to do absolutely ..... to know everything about currency .... including with children ...
Interesting exhibition space with, in particular, the one currently devoted to Kiki Smith. Great emotion.
Rolling coin, amass the crowd! It is the oldest French institution and the oldest company in the world! And yes the Monnaie de Paris is officially created in 864 with the Edict of Pitres . Charles II decreed the creation of a single Parisian workshop attached to the Crown, with the aim of restoring a territorial monetary unit. Today, she is mainly in charge of the production of the collection currency but also official decorations and military. Go to the shop if you have a (secret) passion for coins.
Less touristy than other museums in Paris but not least with a permanent exhibition and an ephemeral at the top
Worth a detour. Tactile museum. Has carried children who start asking for pocket money ...
Museum very nice, provide 2 hours of visit to be comfortable
Beautiful historical place and exhibition of coins and old coins. Contemporary art exhibitions also
Very beautiful places, interesting temporary exhibitions. Entrance fee 10 .
Worth a visit if you are interested in French antique coins
You can buy modern coins while looking at the real thing at the shop
Well done or overdone...you decide. An excellent series of exhibits regarding use of materials and production of coinage and artifacts, many of which are interactive.
