Came here with an avid collector of coins. Guarded and watched by heavy security, we had our bags checked before admission of entry. Totally worth a visit. Coins available at the time of our visit were world cup 2018 coins, special designs by renowned Jean Paul Gaultier, disney specials, etc. There's a paris monnaie museum across the shop too. Grab some french minted coins as souvenirs, it's worth it.

Very interesting museum on the use of metals for making money. We also see the techniques of making medals and coins. Part is also devoted to counterfeit money.
We also see through the windows the workshops where we make the celebration pieces.

This is one of the most underrated sites we visited. I researched the Conti 11 before arriving to Paris and our visit did not disappoint. There is a lot to see here and it s never crowded, we did not visit the exhibition portion as we were tired and pressed for time, but the museum portion was extraordinary. There are also interactive exhibits which is mainly for kids but my husband and I enjoyed them as well. We went on a Saturday and it was not busy at all really quiet and peaceful, the only downfall was that the windows showing the workshops had no people working in them, I assume this would be even more interesting to see the people working on site. Still very cool. The current exhibit is on until February of 2020, seen some of the artists work online, worth seeing if you have the time, visiting just the museum portion is 10 euros and museum plus exhibit is 12 euros. Classy little gift shop on the way out. Will certainly go back next time. There is a little something for everyone.

Very peaceful place located near many tourist sites with a huge crowd
The museum offers a fairly complete history of money in general with objects all more original and historical than the others (meter platinum meter, Roman coins, ingots ...)
It also presents the expertise of the Monnaie de Paris and the history of manufacturing processes through fun and educational workshops.
All with the essential contribution of digital.
Do not forget to go through the shop where you will find your happiness.

It's places full of history, very large and spacious. You can also find in the building the restaurant Struck Bloom and the restaurant of the famous Guy Savoy. Sometimes there are also exhibitions.

I like his medals. But that's not why she does most of her publicity.

His 10 silver coins published each year are a kind of scam.
They are presented as an investment when they are not listed. They do not buy them back. They are resold by the weight of the money they contain (still need to find a buyer ..) that is to say almost below their face value.

Buying it is a sure way to lose money.

SCANDALEUX !!!

SCANDALEUX !!!
I wanted to go to the Thomas Shutte exhibition. I am a job seeker. In asking for a ticket for this exhibition, I was told that "only the compensated unemployed were entitled to it"
But the fee schedule only talks about job seekers without making any mention of whether they are compensated or not. And besides, I do not see the relationship between going to see an exhibition and being compensated or not.
Moreover, it is a total nonsense, because it is the most fragile who are penalized, in this case those who, having still means of means that the unemployed compensated, would be refused access under this very strange motive.
I sent a request for explanation to the Hotel de la Monnaie (which is definitely his name ...) without a response from them for the moment.

Hello to you,

Hello to you,
I loved corporate culture and rich history.
I visited in a few hours it was not enough because there is so much to see. It is a French knowledge that is not put enough forward.
I highly recommend.
