Friendly staff. Limited menu of mostly deep fried stuff. I had low expectations which were met. Greasy fish and limp soggy fries. Really grim. The beers were nice but at $10 a pint hard to justify. Choice of where to kill time is limited which I guess is how they get away with a poor product

overcooked steak . no condiments to be found and server "unavailable" to Supply.. poor service and overcooked food .

Decent fare for the airport. Our server was very nice.

Not impressed. Nothing was offered I had to ask for everything. No one asked me how anything is. Bartenders are not polite. Not what you expect when your flight is 3 hours delayed and you come for some wings and beer to kill time.

For an airport establishment we were quite impressed. Food was delicious and the women serving us was great. Airport prices on food but not over the top expensive.

Great place for oysters...amazing menu....great culinary experience.... friendly staff,also great boutique hotel to stay at!

Good food, had hot wings and ribs over dirty rice. Wings came with the sauce on the side? Sports center on the TV, but dance music playing? sports bar or dance club. please pick

Just not trying at all. Garbage selection of drinks. Garbage computer monitors for non HD tv (28 inch?). Overall... It is just better than a vending machine. Barely.

Here a lot as it is in the domestic terminal...skip it if you're eating. Fine for drinks I guess

Eat at the bar so being seated was much faster. Service was great. Ordered salt and pepper wings but tastes more like just breaded wings, no flavor also ordered the grilled cheese with side salad, that was very tasty.

I wish I had read the reviews here first. After intentionally skipping airplane food in anticipation of being back in Canada and having a real Canadian beef burger, I was so beyond disappointed. I would compare the texture of the burger to cardboard, although cardboard is probably more moist than this burger was. Hard to believe I paid $20 for a bacon cheddar burger and would have been more satisfied at any fast food joint. Bar staff were fine, attentive service.

I ordered chicken wings and creme brulee; was not that great.

Food and service was very good. A little pricey but that's the norm on any airport.

Pretty good food..but severely understaffed and no management what so ever..took 20 minutes to even see a waiter...dust and dirt everywhere too...fire manager...if u can find him

Not impressed one bit! Attitude and poor service at the door.

First and foremost they are fast. Food came in just a few minutes. Reasonably priced for its class of restaurant and the fact that it s in an airport, bit small of a menu but mostly classics we all love. Lots of breakfast options and a nice bar. Had the Monk s burger with cheese and bacon, wasn t expecting how much food I got. Burger seemed pretty fresh and got a ton of French fries. Pretty good bang for your buck, and certainly not an eyesore inside. If you re in this part of the airport and you re really hungry like I was would definitely recommend checking this place out. Worst that can happen is you don t like your options, get up and get out. Food wasn t fantastic but again for the price good.

Great place in the airport. One of the few places open early in the days. Staff was prompt and friendly. Lots of space to stay distanced and still enjoy. Menu has a lot of items for a broad variety of palettes. Food came out quick, hot and fresh. Overall thought this place was pretty good for an airport lounge. Will be back.

Airport restaurant with airport prices. Fast service, good food. Serves booze earlier in day than Maple Leaf Lounge.

Waited too long to get a table. Hostess was not happy to work that very obvious. Hostess cleaned the table partialy thinking that was enought... well nothing is working with those guys ordered a tiger shrims green sakad and they served a chicken green salad ........

Having food allergies and restrictions is hard when travelling, but even more when your trip totals over 20 hours. Unlike most airport restaurants, Monk's Grill was willing to put together a dish to suit my needs without hesitation; as well, as make sure that the area was not contaminated. The manager took care of my entire order and communicated with the chef. I was so appreciative of their efforts and accommodations. They saved me an afternoon of starving on a 5 hr flight. Thank you, again.

I LOVE IT AND MY GRANDDAUGHTER LOVES WITH THIS PLACE AND COUNTRY. EVERYTHING OF THE FIRST LITTLE PLACE TO VISIT AND HAVE FUN ABOUT THE WORK YOU CAN DO

Stopped here to have breakfast before my flight and the food was terrible. Waste of money, Didn t even eat it. Comparable to a cheap cafeteria meal

Super rude service, truly the most awful wait staff I've ever experienced. It's sad what airport restaurant operators think they can get away with when they have a captive audience.

As far as airport restaurants go, not bad. Overpriced but they all are. Had the fish sandwich, which was good. The Caesar salad was watery and unflavorful. Server was attentive and pleasant.

Usually eat here if I have a layover longer than an hour. It's nice to sit down at a table and have some good food in a quieter less crowded space. You're really not paying much more than what you do to stand in line for 15 minutes a starbucks.

Had steak and eggs and got a small piece of meat that was pan fried. Don t even know why they ask how you want your steak done as it s 2mm thick.

Everything we ordered they didn't have. If they claimed to have it, it was made wrong. The food was horrendous and the drinks tasted like bleach. I wish i could give this place a negative rating.

Three of us stopped in here for lunch between flights. The service was slow, and our glasses were often empty with no one in sight to refill them. The food was poor. Portions were small for the price, and the food did not match the descriptions. One order was fish and chips, and another was (more expensive) halibut and chips, but there was no difference between the fish at all, and neither was halibut! I had the chicken panini, which was just a toasted sandwich with ordinary sliced bread rather than a pressed bun, and barely had any chicken in it. We then shared a desert that was supposed to come with gelato, but it was just regular ice cream. Very disappointing.

Not good.... bartender didnt know how to make shots.... gave us half a shot and when asked they said it's an usual 1oz shot.

Food was pretty average but fast and got atmosphere

Bland and dry omelette, more like a dry crepe cooked in both sides and then whole uncut pieces of bacon and avocado stuck inside. Generally bad diner food. Got two stars cause server was great.

At the Vancouver airport. Passable at best. Had the Monk's Burger...bun was stale and the Caesar I got with it had some godawful crunchy things that were definitely NOT bacon bits. The beer was good, a decent selection though heavy on major brands. All in all I could take it or leave it...I really just wanted a place to sit while waiting for my connection.

My steakloin was cooked as I wanted, however it was very bland as were the potatoes. The ribs were alright but nothing to rave about. The fish was severely overcooked and our waiter only came over to take our order and to pay along with not being the most friendly.

Slow, apathetic service, and over priced beer. It's a shame there isn't more choice in the domestic wing of YVR.

Overpriced, terrible service and terrible food. Totally just taking advantage of the fact that 90% of their customers will never come back anyways.

Seafood tacos are amazing. Really expensive though.

Pretty good. A bit pricey, but airport, so it's expected. Free poutine due to mix up but was actually just cheese fries with gravy. Better than lunch at Starbucks...

Expensive, small portions. And worst of all virtually no vegetarian/vegan options - they even add crab meat in Mac & Cheese and charge you $24!

Burger was meh, over priced for sure. Had a rather run past us while we ate. That's reassuring.

was told I could not hold on to menu for ordering food later after he served my drink I recived my bill even after telling bartender I wanted food. very unwelcoming place. never again.

The staff was nice enough, but the waitress was too cool to write my order down, so of course it was wrong... They returned with the burger right, but with the same fries which were now stone cold. Burger was not worth the money. The coffee was the only thing worth paying for.

Only sit down to eat restaurant at domestic departures. Breakfast classic is good for C$14.5 and 3.5 for tea.

Service was slow. Too much $ for quality if food. Domestic Beers are $9 each .

It's airport food our waitress was nice but was working alone so getting secondary service like refills was a long wait.

Surprisingly good for an airport restaurant. Ordered they Bocconcini salad with the halibut add on. It was fantastic and fresh.

Very good. I recommend halibut salad and vodka bloody Mary yummy

Wouldn t mind the overpriced menu if the food lives up to my expectation. Unfortunately the halibut I ordered was dry and it has barely any seasoning

A bit on the expensive side but great staff and good food and beer.

Reasonable prices, fairly quick service. A little hectic as it is located in an airport terminal, but a great option for a real meal while waiting for your flight.

It is what it is. Pub fare and nothing else. Bit weird the hostess was wearing a casual sweater. Fish taco should be called, unflavored burnt corn taco with fish.

Monk's has a pretty good menu, diverse with a good drinks menu as well with reasonable prices, friendly bartender and it's open for dine in.

Good prices, fast and friendly service, delicious food.
