Very friendly and helpful staff they're helping everyone

Honestly super polite, helpful and all around awesome staff. Best experience at any SPCA or animal shelter I have ever had the privilege of dealing with. Every staff member I have met take excellent care of all the animals there. They get lots of love and lots of space when they are brought in. I did not see one animal that was kept in a small cage they all had whole rooms to run around in. Hands down the best animal shelter in the Lower mainland. If I could I would give them a 100x ***** review

We have adopted 3 cats from DCAS. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would go through he process with them again. It was a very good experience.

They take great care of the dogs, and work hard to make good matches with potential adopters. Brittany at the front desk is really quick and efficient with communication which is so great!

I just picked out my best friend from here. He is so cute and cant wait to take him home, hopefully soon enough. the staff were really friendly and helpful. great atmosphere

Just stopped by ended up leaving with Rosalie after matching 100% with her on the test. Two years later this overly shy lady is queen of the house and so vocal. I was provided with everything I needed and I could tell the animals are very well taken care of.

Clean...all cages spacious..animals looked content...just waiting for forever home

They are a needed and helpful society that for true animal owners that have tried EVERYTHING possible to keep their babies but life just gives them punches and they can't keep them....I loved and still love my sweet little dog. I could not keep her I tried and tried to make something work for me but with getting a divorce leaving my house having to rent and trying to keep my dog for year I had no choice but to surrender her to this wonderful society. If my situation changed and I can take her back you bet your last dollar I would take my dog back. They are giving my little teika a second chance for a loving home

Very professional environment. I understand that working with animals is often a thankless job but despite this the employees of the shelter frequently exemplify a positive and informative attitude whenever I stop by. You can really tell their heart's in the right place and they care about the animals. Highly recommend.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place itself was clean and well maintained.

My little Boo ended up here twice in his lifetime and I have to say that they really cared for him. They took time out to call me and tell that he was okay and that I don t have to worry and rush. Awesome staff and volunteers!

First class shelter.The teams work hard to socialize dogs that had a rough start. They conduct classes which helps the public feel the place is accessable.

They are doing a great job at giving abandoned pets a new home.

I had a wonderful experience back in august adopting my boy figaro when I was unable to find any adult cats in vancouver- high demand. one might say it was because I was finally first to call in.. but let's call it fate instead. all of the staff who assisted me in the process were marvellous and their expertise guided me during those first nervous days. I felt I had everything I needed for this talkative kitty, medical records are important! I would have no reservations about reaching out if I ever had any concerns or issues, these girls do work

They responded quickly and came to pick up an injured cat. Very efficient and professional.

Friend of my mother's just adopted Mia and the staff were very informative and let her have time for them to get to know each other. I highly recommend this place.

I used to really like this place. I used to work for Bosleys and we would collect donations for them as well as raise money for them and they would adopt animals out from our location. Recently my cat, who I adopted through work that came from the shelter, had urinary crystals and I am a low income person on disability. I was told by many different vets to call the shelter as they sometimes help low income people with veterinary care. When I called them, I was told I would have to surrender my cat as they will not provide veterinary care unless they have full possession of him. I love my cat very much and was absolutely devastated that they were not willing to help me. I told them that was not possible and I would look for help elsewhere. I ended up having to apply for financing to pay for the $2600 vet bill to treat my boy. And after all of this, they still had the gall to call me to ask if I was ready to give him up for their help. All I have to say to these people is thanks for no help when all I did for 2+ years was break my back at work for your organization!!

Very helpful staff. Clean and lots of activities going on. Helpful information about the animals up for adoption.

Owner called at 1014 and 1048 am they said no leads I did give my phone number and said anyone with a palmeranian to call me to prove they owned it they said file has been created I asked don t you want my phone number ??? They didn t seem like they were on the ball today...
Cloverdale animal shelter called and said we found a promising lead they will call you if it s ok they helped big time !!!

This is the most caring shelter I have ever dealt with. I strongly recommend anyone who wants to donate for animal care to donate here. If you want to adopt or foster an animal, this is a wonderful place to go.

Their facilities regarding the cats are top of the line and provide room, and comfort for all.

The staff is amazing. Passionate about caring for animals. Britannee has been an amazing resource throughout our adoption. Thank you for a great experience.

Staff here are so friendly and informative. It s a great experience. And we love the tales for tails program for kids.

I came here because I had to drop off a dog I had found that was lost. They were very nice and I like the fact that they take security measures like asking me my info with dropping off the dog.
Clean facility and it's just off River Rd so it's not far.
