Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs Review

The hotel was fantastic. Everyone friendly. No noise came from next door rooms. Quiet. Rooms were well taken care of.

Came to Mohegan to breakers was. Supposed to be open but again was closed, very poor management no wonder no one goes here anymore

If you dont like the smell of cigarette smoke, I wouldnt recommend this place. Even though they do offer non smoking areas, from the minute we walked through the door, our noses begain to burn from it. On the other hand, if you can deal with that, there are many games to pick from, lots of rsturants (didnt eat at any, so no feedback on that), and for signing up at the players club, my wife and I both got $20 each to be able to use. Again, the smell of smoke is BAD!

Dirty casino and very unfriendly dealers. The slot payouts seem to be much lower than most casinos i have been to. And that seems to be a common knowledge concensus amongst the locals. Restaurants are very nice and there is definitely a nice assortment of slots. They cpukd use more tables on a weekend night though.

Reasonable Indian casino and high end for the area. Good restaurants and reasonable priced table games

Nice hotel and casino in the Poconos. Nice clean rooms. Lots of choices for all meals from Starbucks, Johnny Rockets, Ruth Chris and a great pizza shop. Everyone was very friendly.

Nice hotel, no complimentary breakfast and half the time the ipod charging stations dont work. They've also been switching out the speaker equipped ones for simple chargers which sucks because I enjoy playing music from my phone on them. Bathrooms are nice with spacious showers. Beds are very comfortable. It costs extra for a room with a mini fridge or microwave, so I've never opted for one, but it would be nice if they were just included.

Jan 25 ... Adding to my previous, Casinos odds are still horrible. I lost my wallet 2 wks ago called and was given a dismissing no nothing's been found by a rude person. Called back and got nicer person who said maybe I shouldn't bring a wallet. Besides losing money I was told not to bring it. So passing by today I went in not bringing my wallet. I lost over 300 as usual (down from the 240 plus my wallet and $260 in wallet the time before). I went to get a $3 coffee and was told I could not use my points as my pin was now useless without ID. This place sucks crap anymore, not at all customer friendly, no personal touch or feeling just business of taking your money..... used to be 50/50 now 95/5.. oh and the $25 buffet is just horrible all prepacked crap and overcooked roast.

It waa my first time on the casino floor and jt was very nice. I don't like the smoking areas, but I understand that that's a huge amount of customers.

Wasn't impressed spent to much money went on several machines and no of them paid out maybe we will give it one more try or maybe we will never go back

We went to Breakers. The staff was very attentive & friendly. The one bartender, I'm not sure of her name makes the best Martini's! The band came on at 9:30. They were really good. I enjoyed listening to them preform Michael Jackson, Jackson 5, maroon 5 and Tom petty. Our only downside to the evening is smokers. We had people on both sides of us. The smoke blew right in my face. I guess breakers can have smokers because they only sell drinks. However can they use smokeless ashtrays?! When we got home we wreaked of smoke. This will make us think twice about spending time there.

There is always a great gulf between a casino's advertising and the actual experience. This place is no different, though it was clean and professional throughout. Room was comped after spending much time at a table, despite coming out ahead (after effort).

I did enjoying going to the casino in the past few years. Enjoying the restaurants, the food court, bar areas and the casino floor was fun. The comps were descent in the past also, a comp room now and then, free drinks on the floor and center bar. The machines were paying off more, nothing big but kept me playing for a few hours. Now that all changed and not in a good way. No more free drinks at the bar or bottles on the floor, I always kept my rewards points up enough to keep those perks. No more comp rooms, no good promotions, machines that never seen to pay off. My trips there get shorter and shorter and I was still spending the same amount. So what ever changed in the past year and a half on the operation of the place was not to make it a more enjoyable experience. It did the opposite, and even moving around in the floor is all messed up now. You need to reevaluate the changes that are made, but if this is the way you wish for your business to continue that fine with me. There are 3 other casinos in the area that will see my business.

Went to a father's day lunch at Ruth's Chris steak house. Besides what I think is too high a charge for valet parking, it was a great experience!

Go to Isabella Restaurant for amazing dinner right next to Mohegan Sun..this is my review on their site...its a must try..

From NY...this was an Awesome experience..amazing food had Fish of the day..comparable to NY restaurant's .where we frequent. ...hubby had Steak..just as good..presentation was remarkable.toasted bread with freh olive oul...apps were phenomenal and appetizing.left you waiting for them to top it with main course..Michelle our server was very enthusiastic and welcoming..great prices..cant wait to go back!!..If your staying near Mohegan Sun Poconos ..you must visit this hidden treasure..makes Rustica kitchen look Rustic...

Gray Place fun times just wish the service was a little quicker but they're very polite

I always enjoy a day at the casino. A massive selection of slot machines available in several different sections of the facility. There are a ton of amazing places to eat, central bar, table card games, roaming drink servers and of course, horse racing. A few years ago a hotel was added to the facility and the entire facility enjoys ample parking.

Party on the patio gets too packed and it's hard to move. Also there was a lady cleaning the bathroom who was extremely rude.

Kind of disappointed that they took some of the machines out the if you only have a penny you can spend it. Now it's 39 cents or more. I guess it's all about the money because they don't payout very good

The casino and hotel have reopened.

Upon entering the facility, your body temperature will be scanned. If you appear "red" on temperature scan, you will be asked to submit to a handheld scan to check for fever.

Plexiglas partions are in place in many gaming areas, all cages, and all player services areas.
And, some slot play areas have every other machine disabled or plexiglas partitions in place between slot machines.

The whole place is more clean than I can reacall since the opening of the expansion years ago.

The VIP lounge has reduced seating. And, food offerings are pre-portioned to limit handling.

I felt comfortable that every reasonable effort was made to keep guests safe from communicable disease.

Other guests I encountered seemed aware of their spacing and courteous of my personal space.

It was certainly different. But, not in any way a bad experience.

I have returned the my unlucky place for one last time, or so I thought. I will finally remove it from the no win list. Did great . Lost my roll the first three times here. But, I gave it one more chance and won. I play for fun and had a great time every time. But you do need to win a bit to be able to return.
Now with the germ covid-19 stuff.
Top notch job. I have been else where and hands down this place is on top of keeping you safe. Great Job . I have seen operating rooms with smudge marks but never seen it on these dividers, screens, glass doors ,mirrors or buttons. Looking good.

It was okay nothing special. I'll probably go back again but not in a rush. The buffet was buy one get one free so that was a nice unexpected perk. Had a lot of trouble with the poker machines the people who serves them didn't seem to care too much. I did a lot of sitting around waiting for help. However it was a beautiful day for a ride and when we got there if you signed up for a slot card you got $20 in freeplay. So basically I made money going there or at least I didn't end up spending anyting

On September 28 I brought a charter bus to the casino. Shortly after arriving one of the passengers learned that her daughter had passed away. The staff at the casino went above and beyond to help. 1st they gave her a room at the hotel so she could compose herself and make arrangements to get home. Than after she couldn't secure transportation, they drove her home(a 2 1/2 hr drive). I was so impressed with there concern & kindness. They did a fantastic job

The worst casino in the country. Waiting for bonus. When you get one, you win 1$ to 5$. The federal government should look into the payout .

Ate at Rustic Kitchen. Food was excellent and so was the service. Would definitely recommend to everyone!!

Nice casino, however I went in the middle of the day and it was as difficult as a Friday night to get a drink. Also they announce winners all the time but if you don't claim your prize within 30 minutes you lose it. As if people can stay there all day and all night. That's a bit much in my opinion.

Always a fun time. Nice restaurants. Smoking and smell of cigarettes is DISGUSTING.

Couldn't hit or win anything. Everyone around me said they were doing nothing but losing. People were walking away from there machines disgusted. Yet, there must have been a malfunction as it kept coming over the intercome... "JACKPOT" every second nonstop for what seemed like about 20 minutes or so. We were all certain it was a malfunction, because since they opened no one has every heard jackpot non stop like that. No jackpot winnings were even coming up on the screens. No one around was yelling aloud that they won. I would even swear the machines were malfunctioning as any games on machines were scarce. It was constant loss. Everyone I came in contact with said they just kep losing.Totally no fun, when all you do is lose the entire time your there. Some said they lost a lot. No Fun Mohegan Sun!

Went for a business meeting, accommodations were great. Casino and the surrounding restaurants/bars are great as well.

Timber buffet close to early especially when u travel a long distance to eat there. If u are going to be in a casino u should be open later hours.

A great place to grab a drink and hang out with friends, casino games or not. The restaurants are great as well. Only complaint is the smoke in the air. I have asthma and it can send me down a path of wheezing if I'm not careful.

i've been here many times I don't mind winning I don't mind losing. what I do mind is the condescending pit bosses. every single time at that an interaction or open their mouth they just talk down to you. Half the time the casino is making a mistake when you're playing at the table. Half the time you're making a mistake. Table games are complex. A busy craps table has a lot of things going on at once. You expect the stick to call out the number clear. You want the dealer to pay and go in order. What gets them a 1 star is that the pitt bosses are just rude. They should not be sitting behind in chair in a position of power because you know most of them I just one step away from some type of cheap trailer trash. Then they have some axe that they want to grind by yelling at the people on the other side of the table. it's real simple they don't have to be mean. they can just state the facts everyone would go with it. I've been at the table I've seen it many times and I think that all of the pit bosses who want to sit at the tables need to have some type of lesson in how to simply talk to people. How to give some experience that is fun.

My recent experience staying at the hotel was incredible. The Valet staff as well as the Concierge were very welcoming and helpful. Both days and night these gentlemen were kind, polite, respectable and insisted on opening doors for us and continually assisting with our luggage I give the hotel 5 stars. Beautiful,classy and very clean.(Loved the fire pit) But as for the casino part I am very disappointed. They have introduced a few new games... but only offer one maybe two of these throughout the casino so i felt as if i was forced to play something I didnt want to. I personally like some of the new games and didnt get a chance to play as they were always full. And the waitresses.. there uniforms are trashy I saw many colored/ pattern bras and more cleavage then I would like. Many were sloppy, runs in their stockings, hair a mess, just looking frazzled. Oh and took a good chunk of money quick... if your not gonna pay out atleast keep me even so I can keep playing...

I've been here a few times already and usually the casino isn't very nice to us(my friends fam and i) but on this particular night on 12/1 a few of us actually won some money... the downside was that it took forever to get someone to take you order for drinks and took as long getting it.... other than that its a pretty good night just for the fact that some of us walked out with xtra money in our packets.

Went with my husband to try it out, because Wind Creek machines seem so tight. It seemed a little better, but I really don't know if it was worth the drive ,I think they are all the same.
