This is a review about the process (so far) we have ordered and am awaiting installation in a couple months... So why such a high rating... Kim McCourt is the reason for this rating. We encountered her a few weeks ago and man does she know her stuff!!! We have encountered easily 50 people trying to sell us stuff during this remodeling process and Kim is by far one of our favorites. If you head there made sure to ask for her, I saw some other reviews indicated the service may have been an issue but with Kim I never I've felt like this!!! We'll keep you posted after install, I hope that installation matches the service we've gotten so far! Oh yeah, and the prices are pretty good as well.
Update at the renovation stage. Kim remains awesome... Awaiting finalization of the fabrication plan and I have come across nothing but red flags regarding the fabricator Bob... He seems to be having problems that literally no other expert we have talked to feel would be problems. Will keep you posted after cutting.
This will be the final update.. at this point I have no choice but to downgrade what had been a 5 star rating to a 2... While Kim remained very good to us, ultimately I simply didn't trust the operations and fabrication aspect of this place. The number of issues I had with Bob (the operational specialist) related not only to technical aspects of the granite countertops but also professionalism in general. The specific issues I had were 1) Bob said he couldn't do more than a 15" overhang when the contract that is signed indicates that up to an 18" overhang will be acceptable to be installed. 2) the 'final' drawing from him was missing an entire overhang (crucial to our kitchen). 3) when we finally did get a drawing close to what we wanted a seam appeared on the final drawing where a seam would ruin the appearance we were going for. 4) we needed to get a window sill and this was missed multiple times. 5) when I inquired about what was going on, I received quite a condescending response from him, stating that his job was to re-orient the sales team to what is possible... There are many more things I can say here. But the most telling thing is this. I have an absolutely amazing contractor and not 1 time did Bob reach out to him. Rather than having a conversation between 2 professionals (him and my contractor) to problem solve, Bob elected to simply take it upon himself to produce grossly unacceptable solutions on his own.
In the end I am getting a refund, rather than moving forward with Bob involved. To be entirely honest I'm paying nearly $2,000 more to a different granite manufacturer because I was certain I was going to experience significant headaches by moving forward. Frankly speaking if it wasn't for Kim I would have rated my ultimate experience as a 1 star.
