The best Summer School I ever attended.. Excellent faculty and overall excellent facility.

Good for PhD if you want to pursue. But Int Master's-PhD is not quite truly Integrated ! There are many loopholes.
And lastly BS-MS course is bit odd not like IISER, the total course of BS-MS is completed in 4years and 5th year is only for MS thesis.

Best place for research students (whose want to be research in theoretical in physics)...Campus is very beautiful and good atmosphere...

A prime research centre of India where C V Raman discovered the so called 'Raman Effect'. Excellent faculty and facility.

It focuses on fundamental research in basic sciences. It is one of the India's oldest research institutes.

I have been to this place on the day of the IOCL anniversary and i can say that its an Wonderful place. The parking lot is big enough and the place is well decorated

It's just in front of Jadavpur gate no 3. An old and prestigious Institute. It's main identity is only institute carrying great Sir C V Raman, Noble Laureate for Raman Spectroscopy. The facilities are very good. The outlook is somewhat pleasant. You'll definitely have a good experience here.

The college certainly has a different and innovate curriculum as it provides integrated courses. It helps the student to have a wide knowledge of the field through the coming five years and have a great deal of research work as well.

The college has a placement wing and many internship opportunities are also given to the students in terms of research and training. Medical students usually tend to study more than directly grab for any job.

Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is aroumd Rs 29,500 for the five year integrated course . As per other medical colleges it is quite cheap and reasonable and one should be surprised to know the facilities they are offering at such a rate.

There is a separate department which looks into organizing seminar, journal clubs and interface session with the students. It's focus is also on how to improve the writing skills of the students and organize various workshops.

Admission
In order to get admission in Bachelors and Masters integrated programme, candidates have to qualify for the UG- pre interview screening test and for masters and PhD integrated programme, its MPST. The exam dates are usually July onwards.

The professors of the college are experienced and efficient too. They are always up to solve any dilemmas that we face and have a unique sense of teaching as well. The staff also knows to to maintain an adequate balance between the students

I have been associated with this institute for past seven years with the theoretical physics department. I find the ambiance very good and there are very good researchers in this institute. Recently, they have started integrated bs-ms courses as well as Integrated msc-phd courses. Overall I find this place academically well motivated. Note that there are few reviews claiming this to be part of Jadabpur University and even as an agricultural institute, which is wrong. This is an autonomous institute with no connection to agriculture whatsoever. This has several departments, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical and Computational Sciences, Biological Sciences and Interdiciplinary Sciences. So it is highly recommend for pursuing higher academic degrees.

People here are very polite, which is what matters the most. This research institution is a clean place, has greenery and a big pond.

Well-maintained, very neat and clean campus. Buildings are also neat and clean with proper attention under COVID protocol.

This is the campus of jadavpur university. Where mainly researchers for agriculture.

I was there for three years and needless to say despite all wickedness of govt controlled science sector in India, this place is one of the best of them.

Indian Association of Cultivation of Science now located at Jadavpur Calcutta founded by Dr. Mahendralal Sarcar in 1876 is a national institution for higher learning. K S Krishnan, S Bhagavantam, K Banerjee, L Srivastava, N K Sethi, C Prosad and M N Saha are among few of eminent scientist who carried out research works here. This was the place where Sir C V Raman did his monumental work, on Physical Optics. He was awarded Nobel Prize in Science in 1930
