Randomly tucked behind the food court, but good food and also a great spot for happy hour. Ambiance is typically quiet and low key. Seems to cater to frequent regulars. Overall the food and happy hour drink specials keep me coming back for more. Upon being seated, they do serve some free cheezy pop overs to munch on while you stare at the menu. In terms of food, it's actually pretty good quality. I enjoy their seafood salad, nachos, and burgers here the most. If you happen to cruise in during happy hour (Monday-Friday 4pm-6pm) beers on draft are $3 or $4 as I recall. No food specials I was aware of, but hey I'm just here for the beers... and some food. Low key, good food, take advantage of happy hour if you can. 'Til next time.
They don t really explain the process well and what the card is used for. They were pretty unhelpful. The service isn t that great either. I bought a soup and went to pay. I asked for utensils and the cashier told me they were suppose to provide it to me. I went back to get it and then I exited. 20 mins later, I was approached by the security about exiting with the soup. I told him I paid for it and he went to check with the cashier and I was cleared. If the two people who thought I didn t pay for the soup when I was exiting, they should have asked me then and there. They should have better process in place to identify people who have paid, etc. Price for the soup was not worth for the quality. It wasn t bad but definitely not something I d go back for after having experienced that.
Great diversity of meals for all tastes at a reasonable price, good attention from the personal
I went there before a Lookingglass show. I got the roast chicken dip sandwich and my boyfriend got the chicken d plate. We both loved our food and we loved the complimentary cheese puff things. We also each got drinks drinks were good.
Best bacon cheeseburger I have had in a long time. Great service. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend it.
Ended up here on New year's day. The drink were all very good. the food was decent, the appetizers were all very good but the main course meals we had were only okay, nothing special. The waitress we had absolutely Sucked! She was a younger girl mid 20s she never checked on us, we had to flag her down every time we wanted a drink, and for our bill at the end. If the place was busy this would have been understandable, but it was not busy at all, and they had multiple wait staff working.
AMAZING staff and food. I am GF and they shared a recipe with me to take home! The waiter was awesome and the atmosphere was great. Very nice. We accidentally stumbled on the restaurant and I can't wait to go back!!!
One of the best veggie burgers that I've ever had. They probably have other good food too.
Stars for what it is...a place to sit down in a busy mall and get served politely good quality food at a fair price.
The best servers in the area, very attentive and great choice of food. Even if you dont like it, it is within a food court so you can have anything you want at your fingertips.
Great food, service and pop up rolls... I had the Acapulco salad. No complaints and more then enough food.
This place was fantastic. Definitely coming here again when I'm back in Chicago. The staff was friendly and very timely. The food was incredible. You have to try the salmon and Salted Caramel Root Beer. The environment, music, and feel completed the whole experience too. Loved it!
Shockingly bad experience. for a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant. The restaurant is in the back of a food hall area. There is zero outside lighting and it feels like it. They did what they could to make the atmosphere nice, but it still feels like you are tucked away in a basement. The service was meh! Our waiter seemed like he was a step above Denny's. It was uncomfortable and awkward every time he was at the table. He did his job, but any level of enjoyment was sucked out of the experience. The food was....Filling? We were brought bread that was cold. Normally I wouldn't care, but there was some kind of cheese in the bread and without it being warm the bread was not good. The food was just there. I wanted to visit this restaurant for a while and now that I have...I never need to visit it again.
Great atmosphere, great food. Prices were fair, and the selection satisfied a group ranging in age from 28 to 80, including a vegetarian and a GF fancier. I hope we can get back sometime.
Stumbled upon Mity Nice looking for a casual but tasty place to eat tonight (day 1 of a 4 day adventure). They've got just the right sized menu with enough variation so that everyone is happy but not so much that you're feeling overwhelmed (or wondering what ingredients are getting old in the kitchen). Two of us got the beer samplers (2 of the 3 samples were winners). We shared the macaroni and cheese (creamy, sharp, but mellowed by the addition of light beer - super good) and deviled eggs (sprinkled with bacon). I had the chopped chicken salad (perfectly dressed, huge portions), my friend had the whitefish special (nicely seasoned, crunchy breading), and we shared the carrot cupcakes (super good, moist, not too sweet, perfect amount of frosting). Service was on point. Our server was friendly, genuine, and informative. Would definitely recommend.
Loved the tenderloin on the lunch menu, cant go wrong with meat that succulent!
The best steak meatloaf in the city. The restaurant was quiet bcz we went after lunch. Love the space and bartenders were real nice.
This is an old Chicago neighborhood joint trying to survive in modern times. It has always been cozy and friendly with comfort food such as mac and cheese and hamburgers. It has made the comfy food a bit more contemporary (veggie and turkey burgers), salmon salad, etc. I love the place. It is homey. Great veggie burgers and many choices other than french fries as sides. I usually have lovely fresh asparagus. The sweet potato fries are great, too.
The crowd here tends very much to be older, but I wouldn't let that dissuade you. The food, service and alcohol selection are all great. Mity Nice saved my Canadian Thanksgiving the day after the marathon with an excellent turkey dinner, so they've won loads of points in my book. Thanks Mity Nice.
The most challenging part about this restaurant is finding the place! It's on the second floor of a kind of mixed use building. Once you get there, the food and drinks are solid! The menu is pretty extensive, so it seems anyone would be able to find something they want to eat. The staff were friendly and happy to make recommendations. It's not a super fancy place, but I wouldn't call it casual either. The atmosphere is bright and relaxed.
Very nice ambiance, food was great and priced just right. Excellent service. Chicken pot pie was GREAT.
The brunch was amazing. The service was even better.
The food and service were excellent. The restroom was disgusting ... The floor was sticky. They were low on TP and no hand towels.
Great home style cooking and reliable place to get into.
Great dinner and free dessert for having theater tickets.
Good food, long wait time so I sat at the bar. I sparked up a nice conversation with the lady next to me. Overall good experience.
Love this secret location when you are in Watertower mall and want to be served versus going to the food court. Being a LEYE restaurant, it has lots to offer. I personally love the guar as a big appetizer to share.
Really nice staff. Good food. Go there for branch and I was happy with that decision.
Amazing waiter; very polite and attentive. This place has a very nice vibe. $$
We Went here yesterday for Thanksgiving 11/22/18. They use to have an amazing Thanksgiving Buffet. Not any longer. I went to the beef station and the beef tenderloin was raw. I asked for an end piece. They only give you two tiny pieces that were Ice Cold. So I went up for another round and the entire Beef Tenderloin was raw. I showed this to the manager she said. "Oh you can get this grilled." I was like ok. No I was lied to about 20 minutes later she got me an end piece. It was ice cold. Never again will I go to Mity Nice Grill. This is very disappointing because we used to come here all the time for Thanksgiving. What a waste of money $49.95per person. YUK.
Absolutely loved this restaurant. The service, even from the owner himself, was the best ever. And the food...indescribably delicious!
Staff was friendly, welcoming.the waiter was awsome.food good.
I really wanted to give 5 stars but the slow appetizers, semi stale chips and missed order edit with the burger put a hamper on that. The location was very busy and by no means was this the servers error, she did a great job. Overall the burger was very good but oddly enough the Chicken Tenders appetizer was the highlight of the meal.
I placed an order online for delivery because I was excited to try some of their gluten-free options. Then my order was abruptly cancelled an hour after I placed it. When I hangrily called the restaurant and demanded to know what happened, the man I spoke to was way too nice to me. He gently explained that it was a Grubhub issue, not the restaurant s, and even offered to call grubhub to try to figure out what happened. Amazing customer service. I will definitely try to order again (just not through Grubhub lol).
Had a 9:00 reservation. We got there at 9:05, our show went a couple minutes late, and had to nicely argue with a woman at the entrance to the food court to let us in to be seated as they stop seating at 9. The Waiter came up quickly and said the kitchen was closed but he d tell them there was another order, meaning ORDER NOW. I m sorry, you seat until 9:00 and your kitchen is already closed at 9:05??? Not likely.. I ve been in the business my whole life, that just doesn t happen. The waiter was very, very nice, yet other staff around were standing around us for a good 20 minutes discussing how their night went monetarily and talking about other staff complaining. It was irritating to listen to them. Food was good, but $15.00 for that little chicken pot pie was robbery. There was barely any chicken and for the price I was disappointed.
we enjoyed it. the ginger chicken pot stickers were excellent with a great sweet chili sauce. salads were good, although perhaps the hand was abit heavy on the dressing it seemed like many of the customers were very old people being brought there by daughters and sons. must be the nostalgia factor!
Delicious hearty fare, also low-cal options, friendly and fast service. Highly recommend for lunch or a quick dinner. Or, if you have time to sit and enjoy-- they don't mind that, either. :) I love their iced tea!
Very Nice people and good food, the beef is delicious
What a delightful place. We just came from a local hotspot that gave us the cold shoulder and decided to open an hour late. What a contrast. Mity Nice was hospitable, every employee we encountered was cheerful and the food was delicious. Definitely recommended whether you're just passing through the mall or looking for a nice place to dine.
Overall, this is a nice spot to grab a bite. My party was taking me out to celebrate my last week of employment with them, and this was their choice as they spoke so highly of the restaurant and food. I did enjoy the food, but the More
Great menu and service. Nice place to have dinner calm and peaceful
Amazing pomegranate cocktails! Will definitely come back!
Excellent food! Very impressed. Great service as well. Will definitely return!
Expectations were low as I had never heard of Mity Nice. One bite into my meal, I fell in love and have never stopped thinking about this place. I've been back to Chicago a handful of times, I have not have the chance to go back. Out of the hundreds of restaurants I've been to, this is definitely a favorite.
Nice sit down restaurant in the mall, great atmosphere and the staff were friendly. The food itself was delicious, my whole party enjoyed their meals. A bit on the expensive side, but we did order multiple alcoholic drinks.
Solid 4.5. The chicken au jous is amazing. Like...seriously amazing. The accompanying sweet potato fries and BBQ sauce was also stellar, as was the portion size and price! Not only was the entree incredible, but the mini popovers we're delectable, the matzo ball soup scrumptious, and the mac and cheese...quite possibly the best I've ever had. I will definitely be coming back here. No questions asked. Great food, great portion size, large, varied menu, and friendly staff (although, at a place called mighty nice, I suppose you'd have to be, well, nice!)
So many choices can't really go wrong with this place. Very yum
A comforting American restaurant hidden in Water Tower with just about anything you would like. I've been going here for years with my parents and now I go with my wife. We go when we're out shopping and have even spent holidays like Easter here for brunch. Highly recommended. The soups, salads and burgers are very good but I usually go with the meatloaf or the thanksgiving dinner. Those two dishes bring so many flavors and fond memories of my family dining here. Don't overlook the cocktails because they are well thought out classics. Especially the horsecar. A great place to go for lunch or dinner if you're looking for a sit down meal in Water Tower.
Love love love love love love this place!!!!!! Has been a go to restaurant of mine for 20 years. The food is great and consistent. The staff is always nice and friendly and accommodating. I'm a fan and patron for life!
Consistently good food and something for everyone. Friendly host and waitstaff.
I really enjoyed this little gem right in the middle of the food court. Nice selection of food and very friendly staff. Good food and went back after shopping for an adult beverage.
Warm French Onion soup. Four types Root beer (glass bottle).
What a rip off!! No service, small portions for price, and unenthusiastic staff. $29 for one small noodle dish, 2 cups of soup and one flavored tea. Add on top of that, poor attitude from host, when we asked what to do, since first visit and from cashier when paying, and auto 7.5% gratuity for service? What service? I walked up to three different counters, found my own napkins, couldn't find a straw. Was told that gratuity was for service, busser... What a rip off!! Soup was supposed to be $2 with any entree. Found out, that I had to inform the order taker that I wanted the $2 soup, a sign that is posted at every counter, $2 soup with entree. Reading some of the other reviews and amazed that people that the experience was great, food and service! $15 for a habachi style pasta and small shrimp, 8 in the order (think nickel size shrimp. With 2 oz of pasta. Supposed to be Kung Poa, but no spice at all, only tasted the burnt carbon from grill. Spoke to cashier, referred to Manager, leaning against counter, playing with hair. Was told that I paid for service and should have told cashier that rang up soup, that I was getting an entree. Picked up soup at first of three different counters I had to go to. The manager did refund soup price difference, and the gratuity, thank you.
Before I go in railing against this place. Let me say that if you want a good veggie burger that doesn't fall apart, look no further than Mity Nice. My experience started off pretty bad. We almost go to the walking out point because they didn't take our order for quite a while when we were seated. The macaroni and cheese was good to me. Though it does have a bit of a Kraft sort of feel. It came with a green chili salsa that I thought was great. The alcoholic root beer was just average to me not great. I also thought that my tuna burger was slightly bland. It could have benefited from a bit more soy. I didn't get the flavors of a bahn mi at all even though it was advertised as such. I did however like the sweet potato fries a lot. They were very crisp and tasty. Maybe it was just a one off experience, after my visits to other LEYE places nearby, like M Burger, Wao Bao and Food Life, it just wasn't worth it here.
Great gluten free options for the wife and hearty, wholesome meal options for me. The service was prompt and the wait was non-existent. We liked it enough to reserve a table the next night for thanksgiving. The bacon cheddar burger on a pretzel bun was delicious.
Very good lunch . Good service. The super food salad was a nice surprise
Nowhere near what it used to be. New decor is hideous and bland, interior design team needs shooting. Most of the staff have lost all their personality. Saving grace is the team at reception holding it together after so many years and a menu that is as consistent as it is good. This place was once one of the places for a quiet martini and get together. Sadly now a tourist trap.
Had the Brisket burger and it was the most amazing burger I ever had, the staff had a little trouble bringing our drinks to us but they apologized profusely and waved it for us, the manager came over and explained they had a small problem with the bartender that day and I don't blame them for that at all. They made it right in the end.
We have eaten here a number of times and love the food and service. Just a wide variety of food for everyone. The puffs are a nice addition.
I really liked this restaurant! It was very good food, large portions for reasonable prices. The waiters were very kind, and they have a pretty large gluten free menu. A bit limited for vegetarians who don t want salads though. I was satisfied with this restaurant and will be back.
To get to the actual bar and grill, you have to go through the Mity Nice cafeteria, which is a little confusing. But once we found it, we had a good brunch with good service. The Croque Monsier is a solid choice, as well as the order of pancakes I shared with a friend.
Really like the fish tacos. Service was also great.
Great food after a minimal wait. My wfe and I eat here all the time.
The price point was a great attribute, but the food quality was superb. The loyal regular guests had many praises to sing.
My favorite spot for delicious American food. Food was so yummy. The place has a cool feel to it. Ambience reminds me of Colorado Springs area.
Had a great meal here, servers are attentive but not bothersome. Food was delicious and they even accommodated my request
Best bacon cheeseburger I have had in a long time. Great service. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend it.
Mall Food...what? Not this place. This was an awesome dining experience that happened to be in the mall. Best service and food was amazing.
This place was horrible it took them 35 minutes to just get me at dr Pepper and it took forever and my food took forever when I went to the bar and asked for my drink they said they didn t even have Dr Pepper and they didn t even take the time to ask for my bill it s just like they gave it to me and told me to do it now and that they are in a rush but we where the only ones in the restaurant except for 6 outer people at one table that was it and they keped rushing us to do our bill immediately
Gluten-free, no problem! Happened upon Mity Nice while out shopping. I first asked the hostess if they had gluten free items on their menu. I was pleasantly surprised when she handed me a separate, varied and extensive gluten free menu. Then as soon as I was seated, the server brought a basket of bread to the table. I started to remind her that I was gluten free and she said it was gluten free! Nice!! Felt like a "normal" dining experience and if you have dietary restrictions, you know what I mean. Delicious food and friendly, professional staff. My server (112 Hai H) was great! Navigating the food court to get there is a bit tricky, not sure what the ticket/pass is all about that you are asked to return when you leave the food court area.
Good food, good drinks and good service at decent prices
