Great and course and atmosphere without the pretentious attitude you get from other highly rated courses here in IL. Mistwood totally gets 5 stars....we will be back.

Great experience, quick round and attentive service. Def worth the price. Range balls included in price and course is fun. Tee options allow you to make the round as fun and/or difficult as you like.

This is among, if not the best public golf course in Chicagoland. We had a blast and will be back next time we're in town.

Beautiful facilities and equally competent staff make it a pleasurable experience in every way. It start with the General Manager Dan, along with the owners passion for excellence Jim, and you can find that same spirit in everyone on down. I was on the range today and a member was talking to someone he knew about joining and that person said "I find myself coming here because I like it more than other courses and it's overall feel is much nicer", I happen to agree!

Beautiful course and top notch facilities. Course is beautifully manicured and very challenging, especially for middle handicaps and up. To score well you have to be able to hit your spots otherwise you re in a bunker, fescue, or water. This course is definitely a top top public course in Illinois and deserves to be on every top public course list out there. There are a handful of wow holes, especially the last 4 around the giant lake. Great service on top of it all. For a comparison, Mistwood is as good or better than any of the highly regarded Lake Geneva courses.

The course and clubhouse are spectacular. I used to play this course for the mid $40 to $50 range. Now priced out of my range. Even twi fees are $75 to $90. Won't do it. I can play Dubsdread for $95 twi. if I wanted to spend that kind of money.

Great atmosphere, course was in very nice shape for public. They certainly try living up to the motto of public course private experience. Golfed with a member who was also friendly, and an awesome gentleman. Food was above average and delicious for a golf course. Only downside was that for a weekday they were rather busy and even with that it wasn't hit and wait golf but it wasn't speed golf either.

A good place to play golf, it has a good restaurant to eat.

It really puts you in a good mood before you even hit your opening drive off the first tee. Then as you make your way down the first fairway the real fun begins! You realize you are stepping foot on one of the best designed golf courses in the entire country that has been nationally recognized by today's leaders in the golf industry such as Golf Magazine and Golf Digest. Mistwood is an extremely special place that will remind you time and time again why you love the game of Golf.

Pros and staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Whether it's dining at McWethy's, practicing at the Dome, or playing the course - you get that country club experience with a Scottish atmosphere!

Haven t been here over 9 years! Actual holes layout did not change much, but the fairways and greens conditions changed a lot, much much better then before. They got the Club house rebuilt, as well the driving range. I would say just a bit regret to play today, didn t enjoy the round, due to the windy conditions. I was feeling like in Scotland.

Fantastic course for the money. Really enjoyed it the second time. Played here many years ago before the redesign. Love the layout now as long as you play from the correct tees. The only issue that I have is that we picked up two maintenance workers for four holes and they kept getting in our way until we told them to just let us pass.

Great practice facility. $20 gets you unlimited balls on fairway-like grass, short game area with a bunker, and spacious putting green.

Public course that is still in pristine condition in September. Make sure to stick around and have some of their excellent food when you're done golfing.

This was a first class location to play a round. Challenging but probably one of the nicest and well put together golf courses ever played.

Such a beautiful course. Outstanding staff. I don't much care for the food at the bar (personal pizza). Otherwise an outstanding experience!

You get what you pay for. Course was in great shape, greens were quick but fair. Pins were a bit wacky with a scramble outing earlier in the morning, but at least I found out why. Member I played with was great. Definitely worth the trip.

Absolutely as beautiful course! It is so mush fun to shoot horribly but enjoy the views and the layout. Best course, for sure in the Chicago Land area!

We hosted a work banquet at Mistwood in the Great Hall on March 1st. The coordinator and staff were amazing!! They were extremely accomodating and worked with our budget. Everyone raved about the food as well! Awesome service! I am very impressed!

First time playing here and from the moment I opened my car do, the experience was amazing. A young lady came to my car and took my clubs and put them on the cart while I payed. Everyone seemed very glad we were there! I rolled up to the starter and he asked if I ve played the course before and I responded no. He handed me a nice divot tool and then proceeded to explain some of the holes and the layouts. Just a great experience, I just wish it wasn t so windy so I could have scored better, oh well, next time....and there WILL be a next time.

Absolutely tremendous golf course! This course should be $150! It is the best $85 I have ever spent in Illinois! The golf course is just the beginning. I was blown away at the resort quality hospitality of the staff. From the pro shop to the cart girls I was made to feel like I I was at a top golf resort! The starter was funny and kind. The driving range is beautiful. The grounds crew does an absolutely tremendous job. There was such a good vibe here I can t wait to get back. If someone gives a negative review on this golf course they either work for a competing course, or they re just ignorant. That s all, I would not hesitate to book around because you will not play a nicer course With more beautiful amenities and staff than here!

I had my wedding shower here and could not be more happy with the experience, especially during COVID! The food was amazing, everything was setup perfectly when we arrived so we did not feel rushed, and the staff went above and beyond. Everyone had an amazing time. Thank you!

As a retired PGA Member I've been blessed to have played golf in all 50 states and Mistwood rivals many of the best in the country.This is my favorite course in Illinois.

We absolutely loved our experience at Mistwood Gold Club! Our wedding was amazing and Becky was so helpful! I wish we could relive that day again!

Went Pokemon Go hunting in the parking lot got kicked out within the first 20 mins was told to "scat" as if im some kind of cat to the man who drives around on a golf cart in the parking lot.

My company has had several outings here and I have golfed here with friends countless times. Absolutely 1st class from top to bottom. They definitely know how to cater to an event, and the course is always in top shape. 5 out of 5 stars in my book!!!

Great course, my partners and I enjoyed our rain shortened round. Playing from the Black Tees, we were being challenged by the hazards on the course. Had dinner at McQwethy's afterwards, all in all an enjoyable day.

MW is a gem of a golf course. The layout is simply gorgeous and no detail was left unattended. The price is also beyond compare, I know many courses closer to Chicago that are not as nice for twice the price. I drive from downtown Chicago almost weekly to play it, that should say it all.

Even late in the year after aerating the greens I get a 5 star experience. I was called and emailed to tell me my tee time fell after an aeration was done. Practice area, fairways everything still in great shape First class golf course all the way.

There is not 1 single golf experience in the Chicagoland area that is even close to being on Mistwood's level... bring lots of balls, swallow your pride don't play tips 1st, 2nd or even the 3rd time there...every single employee was helpful and cheery, A+++ ...*NEW* They've just acquired White Pines in Bensenville, amazing news, can't wait to see what they do to that place, if they get the drainage there anything close to Mistwood, White Pines will be a gem for decades to come.

Great course, they need more carts though, I waited 15 minutes for one, didn't get to hit a bucket of balls before my tee time that's built into the high price.

I do not play golf, but the restaurant bar McWethy's is fabulous! They are well versed in gluten-free and have a very nice wine selection. This restaurant is nice to just hang out or take your date for nice evening. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful Course, Great Practice Facilities, and Tremendous Customer Service

The greens need a little work but if you like a course where you need to pick your landing zone to score low and challenge yourself this is the course.

Great Course, Great Staff, Great experience. Mistwood is one of my favorite courses to play in the Chicagoland area.

Even with the aerated greens, this course played great. It challenged you with it's rolling and split fairways and guarded greens. A must play for every golfer at every level. I will definitely be returning. Then stay and eat at the course and you will not be disappointed!

The course is in beautiful shape. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Food at driving range bar affordable and very good.

Course is immaculate. Bunkers nice and fluffy ( not terribly happy that I know that). Have since taken a couple lessons from Dave. Fantastic teacher, very encouraging. Does not belabor points, very knowledgeable. Will continue my lessons here. Thanks Dave!

Our son is so fortunate to have the opportunity to take lessons from Brian Brodell. Brian opened our eyes to the benefits of structured practice and it has had immediate benefits on our son's game. Brian is an amazing coach and beyond that, he is honest, straightforward and accessible. We are so thankful to have found Mistwood and Brian!

Holy cow this place is nice!!! Treated like royalty from the minute you walk in to play. They load your gear on a cart if you re riding, free range warmup in the nicest practice center of all time, then clean your clubs when finished with the round. Literally have never seen that before at a golf club unless it s a private club. The practice center could literally be classed as its own separate venue. Restaurant/bar, outdoor seating, plenty of range space, well manicured range grass, and high quality range balls. Sometimes I just come for the range because it s so nice. Oh and it s a better layout, better condition, and better price than course than #4 at the neighboring rated course. If you know, you know where I m talking about. Will definitely be playing here more often .

Awesome as always, everyone is super friendly and welcoming here. Had my club re gripped, which was done while I was hitting balls. Driving range is nice, wish they had better makers to tell you the distance but other than that really nice. Great place to have your clubs repaired and get some practice in.

My daughter and son-in-law hosted their wedding reception here this weekend and I have to say what a beautiful venue Mistwood is! The food was great, the cocktail hour appetizers were really good (I was told by everyone since I was involved in picture duty and didn't get to sample much). The staff was very attentive and pleasant. The layout made for a nice space for everyone if you wanted to dance or relax or visit or step outside (which was the only disappointing part since it was only 6 degrees out we couldn't enjoy our cigars out there, not their fault). What a wonderful time everyone had! I highly recommend Mistwood if you are planning a wedding!

Played on July 1st 2015 I was very impressed by the changes made to the golf course. The views are amazing and the course is in great shape. The greens roll true, I have played a lot of golf and these are the best greens I have putted on in a long time. Big thumbs up to the owner for a private golf course experience that is public, and is priced right. Well played again on July 21st and the course is in great shape and the greens are the best in Chicago land that I have ever seen. Went off at 6:30 am and on the 15th hole a gentlemen comes up and apologizes about the grounds crew getting in my way. I told him that's ok they are just doing there job and I'm in there way. He thanked me and said thanks for coming out. That's great service from a superintendent who didn't have to say anything. Thanks again Mistwood

My favorite public course in Illinois! Very well maintained especially for the amount of play it gets. Everyone is friendly and outgoing from the starters to the cart girls. Challenging but fair course for everyone. Play the correct tees for your game and you will really enjoy yourself ....hopefully

Some nice holes but overall There is better dollar value and shot value in the western suburbs (Bolingbrook, cantigny, praire landing). Paid full price (85$) on a weekday in June and was not informed that aeration was in progress during our round. Had to back away from numerous putts and chips for keepers to punch greens. Notified management with an email of our experience and no response received.

This is such a great facility. A country club experience because of the great training center. I wish I lived closer to it.

What a great golf club! The condition and design are excellent and you feel like you are on a private club with the amenities. Great practice area including free range balls. The restaurant and patio dining are also first rate
