You have the right to know about the patient and his progress is what they say but you are not supposed to have the reports. That is apparently against the principles of the hospital.

When I first time visit for ear problem the ground handling staff and billing staff and typiest very slowly that's why I lost I one day Please thing about it

Completed the 2nd chemo cycle this week for my father (cancer treatment) at MIOT... He is showing good improvement. Most important than his improving physical condition is that, he is now very positive and gained the spirit to win this dreadful cancer disease...The cancer treatment doctors team are very courteous and caring....including the secretaries and housekeeping ayas...good team...

My brother met an accident and admitted in night , The next day we had a counselling about treatment and surgery at that time they asked us to pay the partial amount but we would like to go through insurance , But they said will take time to do a surgery bcz mostly will approve evening . I given a assurance if insurance make it late am ready to pay through letter and they agreed and do a surgery immediately and insurance was approved after 5 hours. How ever if you have a insurance or have more money MIOT is the best.

Yes I do agree they will instruct us to undergo many tests. But right detection is very important for treatment. With heavy trouble and pain consulted Dr. Palaniappan and he explained the probable cause. With tests he concluded the right reaosn which I was not aware. Post medication all the symptoms reduced. I will not suggest anyone to come here...time waste...the process will take whole day... management is bad...the whole system of miot is worse...N believe me the cardiology department is really disappointed. .the hospital is not for middle or lower class people...my previous experience of global hospital was far better...but miot is disappointed...if they have minus star rating I would have given that...I came to the hospital at 7am today i.e,nov 21 2018 and now the time is 16:31..till now I'm at the hospital...with all my frustrations I am writing this review...Again I will not suggest public to visit this place...

It was a great experience, the staff are very nice and polite. Overall stay in miot hospital was very pleasant and all the staff members are very friendly and caring. On the whole, i am totally delighted and thankful with the treatment given to me at his age with utmost care. The nurse and doctors care made me feel at home. Thanks.

We got an excellent experience last month in MIOT international hospital when our brother Rajagopal was admitted on 1st Aug for covid 19 test positive and discharged from the hospital on .4th sep 2020..the PROs Staff and the Doctors were very kind and guided us properly...clarifying all our calls and doubts....even in the global pandemic period they took good and kind care. We wish to thank all the Staff Doctors especially Dr Yavar .Dr Sathya..Admin Arun ...Vinolini for their excellent service rendered to us while our stay there....we have called many times for our needs to the patient ... each and every time we were attended politely by the entire team

I got the best service from orthopaedic department. Dr Umesh Kumar Singh has explained in detailed manner regarding the treatment He takes care of patients extremely well.

We did not have a good experience here. Very commericialised. We then shifted to SRMC. See the positive reviews and most of the 5* raters have contributed only one review and that is for MIOT. Which shows that they are fake reviews by MIOT marketing.

Good hospitality and the services of both doctors and nurses were excellent and have seen many hospitals but this much care and neatness i have ever seen. At this pandemic situation, they people give much more importance to the patients and especially in ICU and all they are giving more care. And they people give up-to-date information about the patient to the attendee at any time, this gives more supportive. Their systems are more unique and innovative. Thank you .

It is the most worst hospital.. they are only money minded.. once the patient is admitted they won t tell the real picture about the patient in icu. If u have medical insurance then that is key for them. Till ur insurance covers they will treat and will inform that patient is improving.. but once the insurance is over they will ask u to deposit money if not they will ask ur loved ones to take home.. hopeless service and hopeless doctors.. literally money minded ppl. In the name of counseling they will create a drama. My dad was admitted for uti problem and they gave treatment that does not suit him and kept him in icu for more than 30 days.. after listening to their hopeless words we decided to shift him to another hospital but they gave him as dead body only.. pls I beg u guys not to trust this hospital.. if u want to save ur loved ones better take to some other known hospital where they let u see the patient often and will tell proper treatment plan..

Of late the service has become poor. Desk staffs create a lot of confusion at the time of admission like diverting us from one desk to the other. Thereafter instead of admitting the patient in ICU for the procedure on the next day as advised by them, they change their decision at the last minute and admit the patient in a ward. The Personnel couldn t give proper explanation. Don t understand why so much confusion they made this time. Not happy and not satisfied with the service. One must be patient enough to withstand such confusion before choosing this hospital.

Visited the endocrinology department and found very systematic process of assessment and treatment. But sad to see the orthopedic department chaos. Found a junior doctor doing assessment of patient with not very convincing answers.

Alhamdulillah had went through successful surgery under Doctor Billy Paul Wilson's expert hand for meniscus tear problem of My husband Tahsin Khan. And we are pleased to get the service. Such a caring Doctor he is also his Assistant Leela, the physician Vivek, Arun all of them were nice to us and had a smooth treatment because of them. Highly appreciated the time and the medical treatment that we got over there. In terms of the clarity we know what went through and why ,how all things happened, which was very important to us. MIOT is a complete disaster for my family. But in a way it saved my mom by humiliating our unawareness of her glioblastoma and scaring us away. I am writing this now because she underwent the surgery in a good hospital in salem, India and more than fine now. Thanks to MIOT and particularly the special doctor that almost nil-ed her hope of seeing the next day. My mom had neuroglioblastoma and underwent a surgery in 2008 in SPMM, Salem and also went through radiation therapy and chemotherapy in CMC, Vellore. The SPMM hospital was a real comfort and the doctor who performed the operation is awesome. The only problem was the hospital didn't have radiation facility. Our place is Villupuram which is far to Vellore and bit nearer to chennai. For the sole purpose I recommended her MIOT the tumor occurred to her again in 2014 November because it had both operation and radiation facility under one floor and good reviews. When called to book an appointment they asked to come there directly by 2 PM. For your extra information my family was completely broke when the tumor growth identified in her again. That day my husband went with my parents and I left to office. That evening When i got back they were packing things to go home. And to my shock my mom was feeling as if she overlived after hearing that genius doctor of MIOT. He suggested that the operation (2008) can only stand for an year and she is alive for 6 years. And still we are changing that hospital as if we complained about her treatment before. His excellence didnt allow us to explain our situation and my mom's condition to go that far and staying in a hotel. He also wasnt ready to take a look at the CT/MRI tests of CMC. When i hear/see the ads of MIOT I want to yell in TV/fm to people to not to go there. I dont know about other departments, but neuro department is in its worst shape. The doctors (Particularly that Mr. Genius) need psychology lessons to give hope of survival to the patient. I really badly wanted to sue him. If our family condition was little better i would have done that. But thanks to him that he didnt operate her. So our heartful thanks to MIOT.

Most wonderful service provide by the nurse doctors and the maid. It was indeed a pleasant stay and everyone ensured that whilst we stayed not only the treatment was taken care of but also they took care of our well being. Would highly recommend anyone to choose MIOT.

Surgery fees are over the roof. Mainly the nurses and some receptionists cant speak or understand english properly. Hindi is out of their way. Nurses are somewhat ignorant.. Overall I m not at all satisfied.

Worst Experience Ever, My mother who is 73 years old is a Parkinson patient for the past 18 years and was being treated in SCT Trivandrum, since she is unable to travel much and having seen the MIOT Advt. in the airport we decided to take her to MIOT. In our first visit in Jan 2018 we met Dr.Balakrishna from the Neurology dept. who tried to adjust her DBS Neuro Stimulator setting which helped a little but the oral medication they suggested did not work hence we reverted back to the original medicine which was prescribed by SCT Trivandrum Last June 2018 my mothers condition worsened and my sister took her to MIOT with an appointment with Dr. Chitrabalan from the Neurology department. she requested the Dr. Chitrabalan to check her DBS Neuro Stimulator and adjust the settings which will help improve her involuntary movements. the response we got was shocking he was not only extremely rude but said he does not know how to adjust the settings and there is no one else in the hospital who has knowledge of the same and we will have to wait for Dr. Balakrishna who is on leave to come back until August 2018. this is totally unacceptable if a hospital does not have doctors or programmers to adjust the Neuro Stimulator which is the basics and mostly used by advanced parkinson patients, how can MIOT even claim they are the experts in treating Parkinsons patients and have billboards all across the city only to fool people and trap them into paying hefty consultation fees without actually having the infrastructure to treat the ailment I was abroad at this time and when my sister called me to tell the response I wanted to have a word with Dr. Chitrabalan over phone who refused to talk to me in spite of knowing that I am the son of the elderly patient whom he just refused to treat. He just simply told my sister that she can take the patient back home and adjust the DBS herself My request to all readers of this review is "Stay Far Away" from MIOT if your a Parkinson Patient, they do not have the infrastructure and the specialists to handle this ailment We are now treating my mother at Ramachandra Hospital and quiet happy with their services

One day I was going on road and I met with accident a dog came in opposite and I fell down from two wheeler thanks dr ram chidambaram for successful surgery my hand is great now I m glad I can lift my grandson. I can do all activities its 6 months now post surgery. hand is great now very healthy pain s almost gone no worries 10 smilies to Dr ram chidambaram. Miot is the best. Absolutely not friendly to the patient or their family. Pure money making factory. One who had Ortho complaint is put on neuro intensive care. Not allowing the family members of the patient to be in the campus when the patient is in ICU. Hospital is least bothered about the communication gap between the staff and the family. Unnecessary restrictions. Suggestions - the waiting hall can be provided with proper chairs and other facilities. Deliberately delaying the discharge process should be avoided.

One of the best hospitals I have been. Neurosurgeon Dr. Raghunathan is a very kind hearted wonderful Dr. Explained every single bit of the surgery. Money doesn't matter when it come to good service. Thank you MIOT for taking care of my daughter.

Pls don't go for covid-19 treatment, they charge 40000 per day. For Initial testing 25000 they charged, that too they treated six patients in same Ward, very worst response. For Covid-19 positive patients, also they are not providing mask. They are purely doing good business with covid-19

Worst experience... never could be suggested... the doctors do not have any experience they dont even know to write patient report properly.. We had been admitted for a malleolar fracture and the doctor have mentioned it as rheumatoid arthritis in the report. Leading us in denial of any insurance.. the floor staff carry so much altitude to the visitors and patients.. humanity towards the patient or people accompanying is zero.. worst than an government hospital.

Just thought this review would be helpful for someone who's looking for a better Healthcare experience and treatment in Chennai. In the year 2018 I had severe headache and fever for 3 days and got basic treatment from few clinics in my neighborhood since my health was deteriorating I eventually landed in miot based on my relatives advise. I just wanted to make sure that my health condition is not getting worsened. In this fast moving world workplace stress is one important factor for illness and that's the case with me as well. As soon as I got admitted in Miot the way they went about the treatment was very satisfying, the infrastructure facilities and amenities available to provide quality Healthcare under one roof is commendable. The doctors and support staff were all kind and supportive and more importantly they ensured that as a patient we get to know what treatment plan is in place and what is the progress made during the course of treatment. Altogether it was a satisfying experience and more importantly early detection of high risk or life threatening disease was done and it has enabled and motivated me to share this as a testimony /review with the world. "Putting patients first" is what the facility thrives to do and I have experienced it and it's not just a tag line. Special mention to the doctors who treated me during my stay in NEURO ICU and especially Dr. Chitrambalam you were really great and a inspiring person who strives hard to provide quality treatment to your patients. Worst hospital. On Saturday 06.04.19 morning I took my mother to the casualty but the doctor on duty Dr. Manikandan even refused to see the patient lying in the ambulance. He just said to take her to the last building saying that the neuro doctor is over there. My mom is an old patient of MIOT Hospital. She is 87 years old and she had undergone Brain Tumour surgery at MIOT 3 yrs ago. During that time the doctors and the service at MIOT was very good. Dr. Abhijit and Dr. Paul were really great. But now the present doctors don't even bother to go through the patient's previous history. They don't even care to look at the patient. There was no attender to help us in pushing the stretcher. When we asked for help they were just blaming among themselves. Since the patient is bedridden, while leaving the hospital in the evening we asked for ambulance at the helpdesk but they just like that said there are no ambulances available. But we saw 5 ambulances parked right there and when we questioned they gave some silly answers. They were trying to push Flying Squad company ambulances. On the whole the entire MIOT HOSPITAL service is really bad and pathetic. None of their staffs were friendly or co-operative. We have never ever seen such a terrible and horrible hospital. Will never recommend this hospital to anyone. MIOT HOSPITAL PLEASE HAVE SOME KIND OF HUMANITY TOWARDS YOUR PATIENTS.

Dear MIOT Team, My mother was admitted recently. The first response with the ER team through phone call was reassuring. The casualty medical officer was clear in understanding the needs of my mother who is stranded for help. A fully equipped MIOT ambulance was at my door step in 20 min time. A huge relief when i saw the driver and the 2 nurses who shifted my mom with suspected hip fracture with utmost care. The first immediate question was when she needed a pain medication after checking her BP pulse rate and saturation. I felt very confident that we are going to the best hospital where she will be taken care of adequately. When we arrived the emergency parameters were checked and the orthopaedic dept on call senior Dr came to see by then necessary X-rays were taken. Prompt response from the Trauma / on call team. They found a BAD Fracture of the left hip . I knew she would need surgery but was concerned about her health as she had just had a big heart attack and had recovered over past 2-3 months. Each and every day intervention were informed by the treating team and explained to me or to my father whoever were available. I should really thank and appreciate Dr. Prithvi Mohandas for his expertise in hip replacement surgeries. He finished the procedure in less than 30 minutes knowing her heart condition and the high risk involved in prolonged anaesthesia. She recovered well during the post operative days. Pain control, personal care, Physiotherapy exercises were taken care by nurses and the rehabilitation team. The recovery was prompt and quick than as expected. I have to really thank the team for their commitment towards early recovery of their surgical cases infection control and rehabilitation process. It was nearly 60 days of my stay in MIOT for me most complicated patient but stay went very smoothly without any stress mainly because of nursing care. Thanks and kudos to the nursing team. I should thank the administration staff, dietary dept staffs who took utmost care to make our stay at MIOT pleasant even during the stressed days. MIOT is the best. Wishing team MIOT many more years of continued services.

My family has been looking for a good place for my sisters diagnoses We have been to lots of places and recently visited this hospital Doctors, staffs were well trained and ready to serve the patients , they are capable of handling situations very well , we did not had to wait for treatments or consultation hours in queue lines , During this visit I would like to highlight two people from the hospital, the first person Is our coordinator from the hospital mrs. Maaya & also DR hema , My words are not enough to thank maya for her good services and professional attitude . No proper billings details were provided and My mom was discharged 1 week back, still awaiting for the complete break up bill details Difference in charging Insurance and cashbcash patients, ( we were charged additional 7 to 10 K compared to cash patients and also they charged 7000 as non medical but those non medical bill was not sent to insurance) when enquiring about this harsh response from PRO staff. No proper response from any department except the nursing staff. They are good and answers the questions about the patient treatment etc.

Very worst experience as a OP patient. 200+ patients have been called on to visit Dr.Ramprasad on Saturday. 3 hrs passed just finished with the x-ray and not sure how long it will take to meet the Dr. Very poor management, how do you expect patients to be waiting for such a long time and why can't the management allow to visit based on appointment.

I had my leg broken in a sports meet but now after surgery in Miot I am alright and think I will be again back into sports action....

The staffs in saree at reception could be more kind at patients. They feel like they are the one who manages the entire hospital. Reception is where people first approach for treatment, and it s their part to convince them with their kind approach. Also food quality needs more improvement.

Hello everyone My mon was diagnosed covid-19 and we had to admit her in Miot hospitalfor her lung infection...the moment we entered the covid block the response from the team was fantabulous and very friendly..after all her checks we decided to admit her in the hospital based on doctors recommendations..and from day one the hospital staffs,PRO Vinolani who was coordinator of the attendant and the patient experience was too good and the treating doctors were expert,very responsive and very friendly,day to day updates and the treatment which they were giving also was been informed to the attender....to say more I can say the rooms and ambience of the block aslo was excellent were once the patient is inside we no need to worry about them they treat them as their family members..... Overall we had a good experience there and more of all my mom was in safe hands and she came back home safe and recovering very well...I recommend Miot hospital for treatment for corona positive... This hospital is pathetic and a sorry excuse for a hospital. My Uncle was sent there and all they care about is money and they did whatever they could to keep him there as long as possible. First they did a surgery they didn't have to do then when it came time to leave they said oh you have to stay longer becasue you need another surgery all this while charging high prices for a room. They are a pathetic and sorry excuse for doctors and a hospital. Honestly I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. The slogan should be excellence in greed. Honestly I don't even get how they can proudly say they are doctors when all they run is a money making scheme that doesn't help people at all.
