We just had a very good meal and the servers were very professional. We felt a little out of place at first but they helped explane the dishs to us and made us feel "at home"
The food was descent, poor service, very rude wait staff. Not worth the money. The atmosphere is not welcoming. The tables are too close together, we could not hear our own conversations.
My family and I have been to Mio several times and they never disappoint. The lasagna is amazing, and I love the watercress salad. The server's knowledge of the wine list was very helpful in choosing a wine for dinner. We love bringing friends and family here for a nice meal and great atmosphere.
How sad to give Mio only 2 stars. If it was just about the food, it would be 4 stars, but how often is your meal only about the food?
Mio lost me as a customer today because of a simple Groupon. They issued it and then decided to not honor it. I understand that they forgot to state not valid for Christmas Eve, but letting me know with only four days notice? And do I care? A Groupon is about finding new customers and I was planning to introduce my family to Mio.
Yes, I called them and they were aware the Groupon is technically valid, but they would not honor it.
There are other great Italian restaurants in the area. I recommend you frequent them for the food...and the service.
Their front of house staff could use some polish, but the food is excellent and the waiter who seems to always serve us is both knowledgeable and pleasant. The cheese tortellini with lobster is beyond words.
