This agency does a terrible job of caring for people on their case management roster. They do not follow through on basic requests that affect patient care. I has spine surgery earlier this week. I notified them of the need to change vendors for my PCA services a month ago. They never followed through! Now I am left without care at home during this crucial post operation period. Phone calls to the agency are not answered and messages are not responded to. What is especially bad is that this is the SECOND time they have left me without care, compromising my health and safety! Shame on them!

I attended an event earlier this year wondering if this organization would be helpful in assisting a person with brain injury. We signed up for their contact sheet, talked to a high end manager, explored the story. We never received a response. It felt dismissive. The last target market of people to dismiss are those who would benefit the most. It just confirms our previous conclusion that even though these events are entertaining and informative, they did nothing to assist us.

The people at MnBIA are awesome, their resource facilitators will try to find out just about anything you have questions on regarding traumatic brain injuries. The Unmasking events and displays/shows they put on are incredible. I was so impressed with the people and organization I became a volunteer there.

After doing my dam best to train staff you sent to assist me,
You MBIA of MN are the reason I lost my CADI Waiver.
Since 1980, after Brain Aneurysm surgery I approached MBIA doing my own self advocacy and outreach

You failed.

All you have done since I lost my CADI WAIVER
is make sales calls to me.

About Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance

The Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance is a non-profit organization that provides support to individuals and families affected by brain injury. The organization was founded in 1982 and has since been dedicated to improving the lives of those who have suffered from brain injuries.

The Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance offers a wide range of services to help individuals with brain injuries, including advocacy, public policy, resource facilitation, case management, and education. These services are designed to help people with brain injuries navigate the complex healthcare system and access the resources they need to recover.

One of the key areas of focus for the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance is advocacy. The organization works tirelessly to advocate for policies that improve access to care for people with brain injuries. This includes advocating for increased funding for research into new treatments and therapies, as well as advocating for better insurance coverage for those who have suffered from a brain injury.

In addition to advocacy work, the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance also provides resource facilitation services. This includes connecting individuals with community resources such as support groups, rehabilitation centers, and other organizations that can provide assistance during their recovery process.

Case management is another important service provided by the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance. Case managers work closely with individuals who have suffered from a brain injury to develop personalized care plans that address their unique needs. This may include coordinating medical appointments or arranging transportation to therapy sessions.

Education is also an important part of what the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance does. The organization offers educational programs on topics related to brain injury prevention and treatment. These programs are designed not only for individuals who have suffered from a brain injury but also for caregivers and healthcare professionals.

Overall, the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance plays an essential role in supporting Minnesotans affected by brain injury through its various services such as advocacy work on public policy issues affecting them; providing resource facilitation; offering case management; educating about prevention measures against future occurrences while providing information about available treatments options when it happens again in future cases where it cannot be prevented entirely due circumstances beyond human control like accidents or natural disasters etcetera - all aimed at helping these people regain independence after suffering such traumatic experiences which can be life-changing if not handled properly at early stages post-injury onset period
