Had 1 of my 4 dogs there for a nail trim, the techs were amazing! Went to make a nail trim appt for another of my dogs was told I could not make an appt. No explanation of why. Now a month later I am receiving registered mail from this vet. Called office stated I am not a client and my dogs do not go there can someone please tell me what is going on. Was told the office manager refused to speak with me and I needed to sign for the letter and read it, that is was self explanatory?!!!! Seriously! I have no clue what the issue is. The bill was paid prior to the nail trim and my dog is not a problem. Apparently the office is managed by a child who cannot/will not adult and has a strong need to dominate/and or feel superior. I strongly recommend no one use this vet under the current management. KUDOS TO THE AWESOME TECHS THAT WORK THERE, THEY DO ROCK!

Update: I have raised them to 3 stars due o their excellent care of a cat of ours with seizures. The doctor prescribed anti-seizure meds and then had the staff and facility 100% ready to receive him to reduce his stress as much as possible. They did surgery on another kitty who is doing well, and their care of him was exceptional.

Also, their payment plans are flexible - and that has been a big help of late. So, adding two stars to get to 3 was a no-brainer.

First, I hate to have to do this, but this is the only outlet I know to express my sadness over the loss of a great vet and the lack of simple courtesy by the new regime.

We have 9 cats, and all of them have gone here dating back about 13 years or more. Our dog went there until she passed in 2010. The original owner and vet - Dr. Childers - was exceptional in every way! All of our pets are rescues, and many have health issues, so we're there almost once a week or more.
We have one who had giardia when we rescued him. He has about a 6-8 month cycle for it becoming active and medication puts it back into dormancy. It took 10 years, but two of our other cats have contracted it from him and as recently as last week, had to get a 2nd dose for another one who hasn't quite beaten it yet.
With this long history and the cyclical pattern of this parasite, Dr. Childers knew that we were aware of the symptoms and would occasionally bend her own rules to get him meds without seeing him.
BUT NOT THE NEW REGIME!!!
Took a sample down yesterday morning - way out of of my way before work and waited to hear back the results. But -AS IS THE NORM NOW- NO ONE CALLED! So, I called this afternoon and was told they haven't seen this cat since April of 2018 which seems wrong, but we don't keep perfect records, so I can't dispute it. They didn't want to tell me the results because they had to have the appointment first. I finally was told that, yes, the giardia parasite was active again.
So, I said I need an appointment so he's not suffering with diarrhea and weight-loss as it takes his nutrition away. But their earliest appointment is mid-April...A MONTH AWAY! So, our only recourse is to call at 8am to try and get an emergency appointment - just so they can make a buck and cover themselves as regards liability.
So, we then would have to call off work or be way late to get him in just to get him the very common meds he needs, we pay for, and they know he needs. Why not just get the meds ready now and set up an appointment which we're always good for? We're down there all the time, what are we going to do, skip town with our score of giardia medicine?

Every single time we've taken a sample or had a pet there and needed news since the changeover, we've had to call them not vice versa. The new owners are unresponsive and display ZERO of the care and professionalism that Dr. Childers showed us for well over a decade. She will be missed, and we'll be looking for a new vet soon.

To know a regular, long-time patient and the owners' history there with a file that would fill a shelf, and not prescribe meds after charging the owner for the test, is irresponsible and borders on abuse. We'll play their game, but I know after hearing from other long-timers of this clinic, that they're not happy with the new regime, either.

It's not about competence. It's about doing the right thing. And the right thing seems to be retiring along with the greatest vet we've ever had the pleasure to know.

I m from out of town. I needed a shot for my baby. They obviously don t need business. Rude! Acted like they did not want to help. If they are unkind to me I don t think they d be kind to my baby. I didn t give them a chance. Too many other offices in the area. I found 3 others that were friendly and more than helpful! 2 didn t offer the shot I needed but they were helpful in telling me other offices that do.
