WTAMU Small Bus. Dev. Center Review

Maybe others have had a different experience than I did. I was trying for an hour to explain to the gentleman my business proposal, and I found the guy who consulted me to be fairly dismissive and disinterested in helping. I could tell after talking with me that he knew nothing regarding the field (which is perfectly ok). I just needed help with other aspects of a start up. I left there feeling like I just waisted an hour. I didn t want to give up on their service, so I found a company that was doing something similar in another state, emailed the gentleman who I met with their website, and asked if we could meet again. I felt like maybe if he had a website to look at we could meet again, this time being more prepared. I never heard back from anybody at the SBC. I ve learned FAR more off of YouTube, google, and other government websites. Best of luck to everybody, I m sure they ve helped a bunch of people out-just wasn t the case for me.

The videos that you re required to watch before you have your consulting session where honestly very helpful.

I wasn't informed that my consultant had a conflict of interest even though I was told later the director was aware. The person in charge did everything possible to cover up issues created by the conflict of interest. Unprofessional, unethical and zero accountability. I filed a complaint with the state and never got a reply. Use at your own risk.

We are fortunate to have so many great resources for small businesses available through America's SBDC at WTAMU. The staff is not only accessible, professional and knowledgeable, but they genuinely care about their clients and seeing them succeed.

I spearhead a group of over 400 women in the Texas Panhandle who are mostly entrepreneurs and I wanted to express my deep gratitude to everyone at the SBDC at WTAMU. Out here in the rural Texas Panhandle, they have been a lifeline to us - before and during Covid19. We appreciate their professional and prompt responses to all our questions, the hundreds of hours of consultations and Zoom presentations as well as the in-person trainings when they were available. Just can't say enough good of Gina Woodward and the staff there, incredibly professional, totally responsive to all our needs - they have even provided an incredible group of rural videos that they had to PURCHASE FOR US - they have been enormously beneficial. Again, can't say enough nice things and my experience has been well over a year with numerous friends contacting them for assistance. They have been essential to our survival during the pandemic.

America's SBDC at WTAMU does a top notch job with potential and current business owners. I have found all of their programs helpful to business owners especially during our current COVID crisis. I have referred many business owners to the SBDC at WTAMU and will continue to do so! I highly recommend them!

The entire staff of the SBDC works day in and day out to support the entrepreneurs, big and small, throughout the entire Texas Panhandle. They are incredibly knowledgeable and patient and willing to help any need that comes up. I can not recommend this team enough

On more than one occasion Gina Woodward and the SBDC at WTAMU have gone above and beyond to help me. Sometimes as a small business owner finding the answer to all your problems can be very chaotic but I'm glad to know I can call them and they've always helped me navigate my way through it all.
