The show superb, theatre excellent, n wonderful, comfortable seats
I love that place. Lower level is even better. Little tight seating for bigger folks tho.
I really enjoyed seeing Alice Cooper at the Orpheum! What a great venue!
Loved the shows! My favorite seats are box 21! Great view
Always amazing shows. The decor of the theatre is exquisite. I prefer a lower level seat. But the mezzanine offers a different prospective and experience. I recommend you try didn't areas to decide for yourself. Prices are fair and well worth it. Plenty of garage parking around the area. With plenty of activities to do once your show as ended.
The Orpheum is a beautiful place! I love the golden restrooms! The snacks are high but the plays and shows that perform their make up for it!!!!
They put on amazing performances. I just saw Wicked and it was absolutely wonderful. I am already planning my next visit.
The Orpheum is ALWAYS a beautiful place to go for any kind of show.
Incredible theater and an incredible performance. My family and I saw Martin and Martin and have never had such an enjoyable experience at the Oprheum. I highly suggest the first row of the Mezzanine, specifically the suites, in order to get a little extra leg room and much better viewing!
Beautiful venue. They kept everything just as it was when it was built and it's amazing. The acts they book are all great; however, you must be height and weight as someone from the 1920s. The seats are also historic, so a person with larger girth and/or length makes sitting for longer than an hour completely impossible. For some, it is not possible at all. Boyfriend 6'4 and pretty much a no go. I am full figured and had incredible trouble. We wont be able to come back. :(
Beautiful old building. Great place for top notch Broadway shows. Love the Orpheum.
Every show I've seen here has impressed. I only wish I lived closer so I could see more!
Beautiful space. No bad viewing angles. Every show I have seen here (balcony or floor), I have felt like my seat was good.
I would give them -5 stars if I could. Bowing to the politically correct when you refuse to show GONE WITH THE WIND because you are afraid you might hurt someone's feelings. THIS is what is wrong in America today. Snowflakes and hate groups pretending to be victims need to GROW UP.
You should be celebrating the first black woman to win an academy award. Instead you are contributing to the division of our nation. Shame on you. Pitiful!
Saw Spamalot here years ago.
One of the most beautiful theatres I've ever seen!!
PRICE IS RIGHT on the road event was so cheap! Ushers sending u to the wrong place, it needs an upgrade because of very OLD SEATING! OVER RATED! "THE PRICE IS RIGHT" event, made MONEY off ticket prices, Giving $25.00 Gift cards to less than 10 people randomly. The game "Plinko," had $500.00 for max amount OTHER THAN $10,000.00! OVERSTATED & OVERRATED! CHEAP, CHEAP , CHEAP RIP OFF!
The show was great! My first time there. The building is beautiful and the staff was very nice. The only bad I can say is that the seating is really cramped, no leg room for us tall people.
Usually have a great time at the historical building.. Maxwell really gave a good show up
The orpheum will take your breath away with its beauty. And then the play begins......and Aladdin was wonderful..especially the costumes and scenary. And then comes the magic carpet ride.....oh WOW!!!!! That was over the top!!!! Great Show!!!!!
I saw Johnnie Cochran get up on stage when the Temptations performed here. He seemed to have known all the moves to the "T", yet was to sing well.
The facility is beautiful and clean. The seating sucks if you dont sit on the 1st floor. The upper decks and so on have no leg room. My legs went numb during a concert that I was seeing, that's how bad it is. There is absolutely no leg room unless you are really short. I'm 5'8" by the way.
My first visit to this grand old theater. Hope to go again. Beautiful architecture. Can imagine watching a silent film with a piano or organ.
They need new seats. Hard to sit through a two hour event without leaving with a sore behind.
Really nice atmosphere inside the theater. Acoustics were surprisingly good for a building of this age. Enjoyed the show and would attend another event here.
The Orpheum Memphis is always a delight and an amazing experience. The beautiful architecture, sound, and overall experience keep me coming back whenever I can.
Beautiful venue, world-class performances. One of those places that make you remember that Memphis still has what it takes to be a truly cosmopolitan city.
Really enjoyed seeing Dirty Dancing here. The staff as always was very friendly and even having a seat toward the top, we had a great view!
Orpheum Theatre is a great asset for our city. Every season just gets better and better.
Beautiful building and friendly, helpful staff! The shows I've seen have been great so far.
We are season ticket holders and love the orpheum! It's a beautiful venue and they host great shows!
The place is beautiful but the seats are so close together and so uncomfortable. If you have to go to the bathroom, everyone has to get up to let you out.
FIERCE LOVE, BETRAYAL AND DANCE.
One of the most prolific and popular ballets of all time, Giselle tells the story of a peasant girl who descends into madness and ultimately dies of a broken heart after learning that her beloved is betrothed to someone else. With elements of the supernatural and incredibly technical and emotional dancing, this important piece of art is a visual treat for Memphis. "A must-see ballet" Cennarium America
The won't play gone with the wind again because it has racist words in it.
We had an enjoyable evening as we watched Hamilton. The show did not disappoint and enjoyed our time at the Orpheum. Unfortunately with such a large crowd, the venue has poor means of egress and ingress. Perhaps a modernization remodel is in the future.
This Theater is beautiful. I have read complaints about legroom but found it to be ok and what you would expect from an older theater, sure you could RIP the old seating out and put in new stuff but that would just take from the fact that this place is a very old place that is still beautifully maintained and functional just the way it is. If you go here for a modern show it works and instead of complaining take in an enjoy what it may have felt like being there way back when....
Beautiful facility and always expertly attended. All the volunteers are fabulous and helpful. Very friendly Southern folks and not a bad seat in the house!
Love this old beautiful theatre and the ghost spirits hanging around love it too.
The Orpheum Theatre really is a great restored theatre venue. Really Love seeing the beauty of the theatre. It's has seating in different levels, the mezzanine, and the balcony. Has great rich history & many wonderful events & shows. You will not be disappointed by the Orpheum Theatre.
Saw the Wicked play here. Play was amazing and recommended. Orpheum was nice place with ornate decoration.. Workers were getting people in pretty efficiently during peak entrance time. Seating is somewhat tight but larger than most NY Broadway theaters
My daughter Graduation was held there and it was awesome!
Very nice venue. I truly enjoyed The Anita Baker concert.
Tonight I was excited to see the theater and John Prine alas I must have been the only one. There was no announcement by staff to have phones turned off so everyone around me seemed to be using theirs which was rude to both the performance and the great John Prine. Staff let late arrivals come in leading them with flashlights throughout the performance. Sad to see such behaviour when we paid good money. Grand hall. Grand performance. Poor staff and patrons - I will certainly think twice about going back.
This is a wonderful theater. Every play I've seen has been fantastic. The staff/volunteers are always so nice and helpful.
We watched The Phantom of the Opera, it was stupendous!
Great old theater! I try and go anytime Kinky Boots is playing!
l was at my granddaughter graduation love every minute of it
Great place to go see a show. Not a bad seat in the house and the sound is really good and not distorted. Would really recommend this to anybody looking to see a show.
Orpheum theatre was a great venue love attending events there, but tonight play was not that good
Season ticket holders for years. Love going to our Sun evening shows!
Had a chance to see HAMILTON here. I sat in the Mezz which the view was pretty darn good. I was able to see everything well.
This place is a must see if you're going to or through Memphis. Wonderfully preserved, ornate, and historic place. The architecture and construction is beautiful and functional. Acoustics are great. Lobby area with historical displays. Bar services available.
P.S. Be sure to wear shoes you can navigate uneven ground, sloped walkways, and staircases. It's not a hike, however it is characteristically imperfect.
