Millennium dance complex Salt Lake City Review

Millennium Dance Complex is a fantastic studio. I have met many welcoming people there, for I am younger than everyone else. I recommend this to EVERYONE!

The Popping/Slay class was fun! 1st class
Probably back for more classes. Possibly this one again & others-a good variety!

I'm enjoying taking classes here a lot:
- large selection of classes
- option to take drop-ins ins instead of signing up for classes long-term
- nice staff and teachers

Tess, the reception attendant and tap teacher way beyond amazing. My friend and I were in from out of town and she went way above and beyond to accommodate us. She gave us recommendations for hotels, food, sights and was very thorough in explaining each class that we were interested in. Based off her service alone, I recommend this studio to EVERYONE.

We took Dancehall first, which was great but a little frustrating at how bad the teacher was with using counts or symmetry (when symmetry was intended)

We took Hip Hop with Diego which was just FABULOUS! He totally got me out of a funk with his upbeat personality and effective teaching!

I will make this a regular stop when I'm in SLC from now on!

High- level of quality. They could improve on keeping the schedule. I would suggest they sent us videos to practice before class too.

Great gym! I love the friends I have made. The trainers are amazing!

Definitely the place to go if you're missing dance and need an artistic outlet. Incredibly talented choreographers!

I cannot even begin to explain my excitement when I found out Millennium was now in Salt Lake City!! I am in love with Millennium in LA and now I had a chance to get the same experience here in Utah! The faculty is absolutely incredible, EVERYONE has something so amazing to offer and they each teach me something new and different every single time I come and take class. If you're serious about dance, you better get yourself over to this studio and take classes!! :) everyone has such fun and loving personalities. You'll never want to leave once you come! This studio has incredible potential and I can't wait to see and be a part of the journey! :)

Millennium Dance Complex in Salt Lake is one of the most welcoming and friendly studios I have ever been to. All the choreographers are engaged in their teaching and want everyone who participates in their classes to do well and enjoy the movement. I recommend this studio to my family, friends, and acquaintances all the time and still have yet to hear negative feedback. Millennium is an amazing experience that everyone needs to try (at least once)!

We are semi local and this is the only place that has hip hop classes available for adults around. But it is completely worth the drive! We have enjoyed ourselves each time.

Very disappointed in this place. All the instructor wanted to do was show off his Michael Jackson moves rather than teach the class. I was very intimated to come here, but I was assured I would be fine. The front desk people were very nice, were misleading about the skill level required for the class.

We love Millenium! The classes are amazing, involving all skill levels. It is a place that cultivates and grows powerful dancers.

They have amazing dance teachers! I had comtempary and it was only one hour and we learned a hard dance in less then a hour. Impressive!

This is a great place to go blow some steam and express yourself as an adult dancer. However, If you are looking for serious technical training I would suggest seeking it elsewhere.

I love having a Millennium Dance Complex in Utah! There are incredible teachers and talent here helping Salt Lake City's scene grow. I really feel at home every time I take class. I would recommend this studio to any dancer.

If this is Jade Chynoweth , I just want to say that your the best dancer in the world that I've heard of, seen, and loved. I am Malayah Henderson and I also dance for a living and do gymnastics too if you even do those. I hope I could meet you and Matt Steffanina and Dana because they are my favorite dancers in the world too. I think I have already rote them two a message too. I was so nervous to go back to dance after 5 years. Millennium was amazing and so welcoming. I have already been to three classes in two days and the instructors were caring, challenging, and knowledgeable. Hip-hop and Contemporary were so great I will definitely be coming in for more classes. I suggest this location to anyone!

Top-notch. I'll certainly continue taking classes from here. The vibe and people are so welcoming!

Great space to move, groove, and grow! Everyone is aspiring to be the best possible versions of THEIRSELVES!! Positive atmosphere, for everybody! From beginners, professionals, or just people who want to have fun! Great instruction. Not necessarily a place for individualized training, but you still learn a lot.

My friend and I took our very first dance class here (the Thursday beginner hip hop class) and it was definitely an awesome experience. Even though we were absolute rubbish, the teacher and even the classmates were very supportive. The choreography was simple enough where we could pick it up while simultaneously being open enough that the more experienced in the class could get their groove on and show off what the choreography could really look like if you didn't have two left feet.

We'll definitely be coming back here!

I'm sad to give such a bad rating but all the classes that I tried to go to were cancelled. Apparently this happens alot on Saturdays so don't go on a Saturday.

The gals behind the computer mentioned that the owner's go out of town frequently so the schedule online doesn't get updated and communication isn't great, but that shouldn't be an excuse. I thought this dance studio would be more professional since the one in LA is so popular, but I was definitely wrong.

(Also they don't do refunds so don't get a class card if you're visiting. I made the mistake thinking I'd be taking classes while here but they were cancelled and no refund/ no way to use the credit for class before leaving)

Millennium is abso-freakin-lutley FAN-frickin-TASTIC! I've danced my whole life and this is my favorite dance studio BY FAR!

When I step in the doors, I feel like I'm in LA! All of the teachers are or have been professional dancers. It's a great place for people who have danced their whole life to get tuned up for an upcoming audition, or dance just for the sake of dance! Every teacher really emphasizes being YOU and your own artist.

I highly recommend this studio. Come dance with me!

Love Millennium, their instructors always make you feel welcome and they bring in great professionals for master classes! Not a huge fan of the floor they have in their temp space at Trolley Square but it's not too bad.

I am a ballet dancer so places like millenium are scary for me, because other dance forms can just be scary. it's really hard for me when stuff is not in French and even counts of eight... But I had a good time! They were really nice to do me, despite my awkward attempts at hip hop and way too white girl hip thrusting.

Terrible experience for my 11 year old daughter and her friend. I would not let children under the age of 21 take classes at this studio. I tried to talk with the Director of Operations about a situation that occured in one of the hip hop classes and she refused to hear my complaint. Moreover, she was unreasonable, she lied about issues and she refused to give me a refund on the prepaid classes I purchased for my daughter.

I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I would like to know if they have the appropriate business license in Utah and if the employees go thought background checks. Extremely poor management that should not be in business; I doubt they will be around very long.

The dance level is certainly high. But class times seem to be mere suggestions. I left today 15 minutes after my class was supposed to start, no sign of it starting. The last class I went to, the teacher walked in 5 to 10 minutes late and then announced she had to leave 5 minutes early. Twice have showed up for classes they then cancel because of too few attendees. I often find myself feeling annoyed when I go there. I don't think it's very professionally run at all. At least all the staff and teachers I've interacted with were incredibly nice. Would I recommend it? It really just depends on what you're looking for.

The best dance expedience of your life. No matter the class or instructor, they re all so just incredibly talented!

The place is not professionally managed, so classes are often cancelled. Make sure you call before you come.

You won't know until after you show up if class is cancelled. Classes with fewer than 3 students are automatically cancelled and you won't know until class time how many will show.
