I was recently in the ER and my experience was a terrible one. I had to go to this hospital because my Dr did not go to any other hospital in the area. I went to the ER in horrific pain by ambulance. When I got there the hallways were full of people waiting to be seen in the ER. I was put in line on a gurney in one of those hallways. I was number 4. I was crying and hurting a lot well it seemed they had a busy night wait times were 7 hours then 3 hours. I was left in that hallway screaming in pain. Never looked at to see if my pain was critical or not. Never seen by anyone. I was upset and in pain yelling for help. I watched people get rooms in the ER that were sleeping and woke them up to take them to a room. It seems ones screaming pain should go in before a sleeping person.I got on that bad list they have. I was the very last one in all the hallways to get a room in the ER and another 2 hrs to be seen by a Dr. Was in the ER from 2 am Wednesday till Thursday late morning. When I asked the ambulance crew what are the wait times at Sisters' would be they said 2 1/2 hrs and how lucky I was to be going to Suburban. Yes real lucky. I know the ER has a lot to deal with and I have been in many ERs but this one was awful and if you can go to another ER I would go...I would run to another ER than this one. RNs have an attitude. Maybe if you are at the brick of death you will be seen first. As for me I survived this ordeal. A Shout out to the Second floor where room 280 is Thank you so much for your great care and kindness.
