Really not very good. I went with a 3 because the older reviews look promising and maybe we had new cooks in the kitchen or just an overall off day for food on our visit. I also know we're picky, so hometown restaurants get graded on a curve: There may be good dishes there, but we did not find them and won't be back to figure out what those dishes are. However, our one bad experience shouldn't deserve a 1- or 2- star review unless it's like abysmally bad. Here's what we had and what we thought.
Bruschetta: bread was oily, nowhere near enough basil with the tomato/mozzarella. Really just bland and boring.
Caesar: flat, metallic/processed dressing.
House salad: dressing was the one bright spot. Pretty sure it wasn't house-made, but still a decent flavor
Gorgonzola tortellini: don't know how gorgonzola can be bland, but it was. Tortellini was less overcooked than the ravioli, but still flavorless
Butternut squash ravioli in sage brown butter: this was absolutely awful. Like pasty, overcooked, bland pasta filled with pumpkin pie filling and topped with bland gravy. This was not a brown butter sage sauce - it had the consistency, appearance, and flavor of really bland turkey gravy. They said it tasted like a pumpkin spice latte, so I assumed that was more about the spice and not the sweetness. I was wrong. I love butternut squash ravioli everywhere I've ever eaten it. Love it. This was so, so bad. Like 'I can't believe I got two of those down' bad.
